Nice. I had a fun "Demian Maia" moment with him last night. Caught Demian mid head kick with a huge right hook and just leveled him.

How the  do you get a fight to stop by cut? I've cut a guy with elbows and such to the point a jab would knock them out, then take them to the ground and pound on the cut with weak strikes, to the point the octagon looks like a slaughterhouse, for five ing rounds, and I can't get a fight stopped for a cut. I've ing murdered guys like James McSweeney with Brock Lesnar, just destroyed their faces, and the doctors don't even get involved. I've only had a doctor CHECK a cut once, and never had a fight stopped. what's the trick? Hooks. Seriously, I hit Rashad with hooks from Rampage and mother er was bleeding bad! Round 2 the doctor stoped it. I never tried elbows because I never wanted to end a fight that wya but just try standing and hitting light hooks. so, uhh.. does anyone have a strategy to winning by cuts that works? I've done probably 60+ fights trying to get stopped by cuts and everytime a decent cut opens, my opponent gets KO'd. I've only had cuts checked by a doctor twice now |

A flash KO is a one punch, out of nowhere knock out, where neither fighter is hurt. I personally got it when Anderson Silva, mainly because I sway and duck like a mofo, and just counter punch. I basically had a re-play of the Silva vs Griffin. He tries for a two punch combo, I sway back just out of harms way, hit him square in the jaw with a right jab and he was out. yah i tried that..ive KTFOed so many people with a flash KO but still no trophy..anyone else have this problem? thanks tho |

Immediately clinch your opponent and transition into the best position possible. I'm not sure what the technical name for it is, but it's the position where you'll be able to drop those murderous uppercuts from. But instead of doing that just repeatedly tap the Y button (or Triangle I think if you're PS3) which should be a lighter hook to the eyebrow area. If you keep spamming this he won't get grey-screened but a cut will open up. Keep doing it enough and the doctor will step in. The first time he'll allow the other guy to keep fighting. Second time he'll end it. |

^ That worked thanks for the first time I actually had the ref stop the fight and had the doctor came in and then right after that had the doctor stop the fight. I then tried it with by CAF and the it worked for him to so if anyone else is having trouble just get your fighter into a single collar tie-up and just keep hitting the other guy with hooks. If you can push him up aganist the cage seems to make it that much easier to end the fight.

So did anyone notice any big changes with the new patch they seemed to put up? It seems that its not as laggy for me anymore, im actually getting into matches on the first try, and the omaplatta(sp?) glitch doesn't work anymore. Post any changes that you've noticed

i just put my disk in the game and it asked me for the update again. Then i went online and noticed a few differences.

Played this yesterday having a lot of fun as Anderson Silva against Rich Franklin. First time I used a the clinch for the majority of a fight. Connected for a sweet knockout with knees to the face. Also had fun as Wanderlei against Liddell.

The punching from from up/down position trick doesn't seem to earn 100+ sparring points anymore. I went from using that trick and getting like 80+ to only being able to get 50 points max after I got the apdate.

Have you tried the reversing trick? Like keeping the top position, and keep moving from advantage position to another, and reversing their transitions to get into better ones? That tip is in the official Guide, so I'd hope they wouldn't update the game to affect that.

According to the guide, it's the best way to get points. So I'd assume. It says you can get anywhere from 100 to 450 depending on the difficulty.

Yeah, the punching trick has definately been effected by the update. I'm doing career on experienced, and 50 is the max I can receive from free sparring. Even after connecting with over fifty shots punches.

Stupid question, but I'm playing the demo, I get people on the ground, but how the hell do I do a submission move? I've tried everything.
