there really is no good way. you're going to fail regardless. It's based on some stupid game of chance with the R3 button that just flat out doesn't work for human players 9 times out of 10, but seemingly always works for the computer

I ing swear, man, if it weren't for the fantasy league I'm running, I'd barely touch this game anymore. I enjoyed career mode and the other modes and the like, but the online in this game is so broken that it's honestly been one of the most frustrating online modes I've ever played in a game. I don't even think there's room for the whole "Well, if you don't like it, learn to counter it" stance. Both ranked and non-ranked, it's gotten to the point where nine times out of ten I'll go against someone who does nothing but spam takedowns or transition reversals. Not only does this make the fight incredibly boring, it also makes it a chore to play. If someone spams takedowns so much and they're consistently blocked, they need to lose stamina or takedown ability. I've lost track of how many times I've played defensively against takedown spammers, only to get caught with one final takedown as I was trying to counter, then getting transition reversed to Mount and pounded out. With the way the stamina bar replenishes, and with the ability to block counter strikes from the sprawl position, there's absolutely no penalty for spamming takedowns. And speaking of reversals, reversals are the bane of my existence in UFC 2010. As I said before, most times I go to the ground, my opponent will just sit on me and wait for me to try and get to my feet or advance my position, just so he can reverse it. Reversals in MMA are so cool because they're relatively uncommon. Being constantly reversed because I tried to actually have a fun fight and not a boring LNP-fest is some seriously frustrating . I really wanted to love this game, but seriously: the online in this game. It's completely broken. And this is coming from somebody who absolutely loves the online mode in Modern Warfare 2. Just needed to vent.

Had a couple of 16 man tournaments today for the Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight divisions. Plan to do the other divisions as well. Just for fun and to rank each divisions in top tens. I was Mir and Franklin in them making it to the second rounds falling to Duffee/Jardine respectively. Carwin defeated Duffee in the Heavyweight while Luiz Cane defeated Jardine in the LH tournament. So I guess Jardine can put a few wins in a row actually, he beat Rampage, Me(Franklin), and Tito... Really awesome today..

Just needed to vent. I tried to say the same things when the game first came out but I was met with the usual "learn to play" attitude. I've played the first one a lot, matter of fact I like to think I was pretty good at it. This year they made reversals so easy my dog could do them, and they also managed to completely break the submission system. In UFC 2009 there were ways to counteract the bungholes, but somehow the new game lends itself to douchebaggery infinitely more than UFC 2009. I'm 10-1 in ranked online but haven't played it in weeks because those ten wins nearly caused me to punch through a wall.

Yeah, the punching trick has definately been effected by the update. I'm doing career on experienced, and 50 is the max I can receive from free sparring. Even after connecting with over fifty shots punches. Yeah, it's capped at 50 now.

Brock's Straight Left and The Flying Left Head Kick are the two greatest striking moves to give to you CAF. They're both very fast, and usually allow a follow up shot by another one, or something just as fast and powerful.

Have you gotten any camp logos yet? 25 visits is just stupid. . they shoulda made it 10.

I think you can get it somewhere else but I'm not sure. And yes, I got the Brazilain Top Team logo. Just choose a camp with alot of moves that you like, and start training there from the start of your career. If you're going to try and get all level three on whatever you learn, then you'll have the 25 camp visits on no time.

I just remember getting a ton of camp logos in 2009 and loving it. Thanks for the heads up though man.

So i'm starting my career tommorow, any hints, tips? Level up one attribute at a time. But make sure you add on the occasional point to decaying stats as well. Evenly level up your stats from 30, 50, and finally 70. After that, leave them there and save all your sparring points until your last fight. That way, they can't decay and your exibition fighter will have some sick stats. Also, try and cut out as much BS as you can. Me personally, I didn't accept ANY of those PR and training camp videos from that girl. It's a waste of time and you'll gain cred and poularity either way. It's also a pretty good idea to cut out focused sparring. If you're good enough, free sparring does the trick just as well, and the points aren't limited to one area. This year's career mode is WAY too itemized and menu oriented, so I just cut out those parts as they seemed unnecessary. As I said earlier, find a training camp that you like alot, and stick with it if you want the logo. You'll have it in no time, because the moves can be a b**** to obtain with a crappy fighter in the beginning. So you'll make many visits for the moves you want. Hope I helped, anything else?

I don't see any real reason not to though.

I don't see any real reason not to though. Wait, just remembered that you don't get a choice. When Dana stops by your gym and offers you a contract, you're officially a UFC fighter.

Now what about the submission game? I never used them in Title Mode so how exactly do they work?

Dude, honestly.....it's the worst part of the entire game. Just make sure you've got a guy with good td defense and can bang. Anthony Johnson is a GREAT WW to go through title mode with.

i should be getting this in about a week's time, and i have already played it, but it doesnt seem too different to 2009. it should fulfill my mma needs for now, but EA Sports MMA is going to be the real gem.
