That Dusty Rhodes figure looks terrifying. Where are his knee pads and his one elbow pad? The scan is awful, the shirt looks off, and the parts don't gel well. I disagree with your comments about the scan and parts. The scan is decent not great (I like the scars). The parts are proportionally on target. With this said, I agree the shirt should be longer and the appropriate pads added. However, this is only a prototype. I am almost positive Mattel will resize the shirt and add the appropriate accessories (pads, nightstick, bandana). |

Like that they went elite style, will buy them, just wish they would've launched with a better legend line (with the exception of stone cold and dibiase)..I always like Demolition better than LOD, and they could've started with a Rock, Bret Hart, or maybe Mr.Perfect, but still looks sweet and will buy for sure.

That Elite Austin is awesome. I'll definitely be picking that up. His vest detail is phenomenal.
Not that impressed with LOD...their head scans honestly look more like their BCA molds than the RA scans.

I agree, the character selection for Series 1 is somewhat weak but I am assuming that is because of the legends expiring contracts. I would have launched Warrior, Steamboat, Hart, Road Warriors and either Slaughter, Dusty, HHH (old) or Andre. There are too many Undertaker's (I know they are current), we have an Austin and I think Piper and the Rock are going to be Entrance Greats before Legends, as per previously released information. |

That Ricky Steamboat looks absolutely amazing. No faults at all.
However, the other figures look cartoonish and some look like DOLLS.

I really like the Road Warriors. They may look a little skinny but I think it's because the mattel bodies are sculpted to be slimmer and sleeker than Jakks. Dusty would be better with his simple "DR" tights and boots, but this is good too if you weeelll. Love the Red White and Blue Slaughter, I think it's from his heel days when he was with the Grand Wizard. And of course, I'll be getting Ted Dibaise.
This line makes me think how awesome a mattel Ultimate Warrior, Rockers, or Jesse Ventura would be.

Demolition was Vince's answer to the Road Warriors when the latter wouldn't jump ship to the WWF. So, actually Demolition were just a flimsy copy of the Road Warriors. The figs in the Legends series represent the Road Warriors as in their pre-WWF/WWE days. Hopefully we won't see the Rock in the Legends series for a long time... That Elite Austin is awesome. So, you rather have a freakish Jakks body??? C R A Z Y The legends look awesome! It's the Road Warriors, not L.O.D. Slaughter is also in non-WWF gear; love it! Mattel simply rules in this short time that they have the license!!! Freekish? you have every right to your view same as me but while im glad those who share your view will be happy with these things, much like my view, yours is not strait accross the board nor does it reflect everyone... same as me... mattel is far from owning jakks if that was the case everyone would switch to mattel and that clearly has not and will not happen... in fairness id say it looks about 50/50 and thats being very kind to mattel. again im happy you and others like these but for my side of the fence i will buy steamboat for the head and the karate suit and dump the body strait in a trash can... no middle heavy chicken arms spindely legged weirdos in my collection...lol Agreed 100%. But the only problem with buying that Steamboat for the head is that when you put it on a Jakks body, he will look like he was the victim of a headshrinking. |

I'm probably gonna end up getting LOD, but I bet the pads will be unremovable. You can clearly see they are removable. |

I stopped collecting wrestling figures about a year ago. The Mattel Legends just dragged me back in (that Steamboat is amazing!!!) - I got MVP, Carlito/Primo and Beth/Santino last night and I am impressed. What time did Toy Fair start today? When will we hear more news?
