Bought Kofi Kingston off Ebay for $45 AUD Shipped, wish I had a Uncle Petes (Little Toy Shop In Sydney) cause they have the Mattel Basic Series 1 for $19.99 but Im happy to wait and hope they hit huge local retailers so I can buy everyone.
Kofi is a great Figure, love the display Stand, the packaging is awsome too!

Bought The rest of WWE Mattel Basic Series 1 at my Local Toyworld for $16.99 they had atleast 4 Of everyone, shocker to see them!

I went to three TRUs after work tonight. The first had no Mattel. The second had a fresh case unopened but they wouldn't open it for me. They said something about not being able to sell them until tomorrow when they opened at 6 a.m. ("Huh? I thought to myself.") I called the third and they said they had "18 WWE Basic figures in stock." When I went there they had six on the pegs and an unopened case. I asked someone to open the box as they had no Mattel Cenas. He started to and then read the street date written on the box. I pointed out that some had already been put on the shelves and sold. (I myself bought Kofi, Batista and Bourne there the other night.) He says he has to ask a manager. I almost opened the box myself after he walked away but decided that wasn't a great idea. I grabbed Big Show and Triple H and headed to check out. I didn't want a manager to come back and say these figures weren't for sale. But the guy finds me and says he was told he can put them out. I helped him stock the pegs and grabbed two Cenas. One being 489/1000 belt fig!  Kim |

Picked up mattel series 1 x 2 kofi, plus all three 2-packs.
Singles were found at madison heights and sterling heights michigan tru, while 2 packs were found at S. adams rd walmart.

Went to my nearest target yesterday..went to the WWE aisle
saw 1 ad pack of tyson kidd and natalya,some old ad packs like the highlanders.some cs three packs.and some RSO and MITB.
and then i saw an average style carding which was different to the jakks carding so i immediately grabbed it and got a MATTEL Big Show:P lol.
there is also a Mattel wwe spinner there, i also discovered when you spin the wwe logo it plays cena's theme song which is cool.
lol my target sucks it only has 2 Mattel stuff,the big show which i bought and the wwe spinner.

As I planned on taking one last stop to Target, I went in with no hope of seeing anything. This afternoon I said if I didn't find any new stuff, I wouldn't bother with the line.
I walk into the toy section and my eyes light up. I found all of Basic series 1, all of Elite 1, all the flexforce w/accessories and regulars, all the rings and all the kid size belts. I grabbed the Basic 1 Kofi, Cena and Batista, also got the Elite series 1 Edge, Undertaker, Punk and MVP. And to top it all off, I see a friend of mine who works there. I ask him to hook me up and he does, so he got me $10 off my stuff with his discount. It worked out to be a very, very cool night.

I just bought
Entrance Greats: HHH and Rey
2 Packs: Santino/Beth, Y2J/HBK, Legacy
Elite: CM Punk, Edge, Rey
Basic: Y2J (purple), Batista (black), John Cena (alternate).
My only gripes are the packaging which look to be theft proof, took me 15 minutes to open them all up. However those invisible rubber bands are great for the Real scale Octagon so I can double up each side. Also the knee pads on basic are too still, and they are hard to pull off to swap. And the price, I spent $175!!!!! They should bring everything down a few bucks. Other than that they are awesome. My japanese belts fit on them perfect, so do the TNA belts. But they were worth it. I still want to find Kofi, Bourne, and the belt pack Orton.

Well, thanks to CM showstopper tippin me off, I am now a member of the Found Mattel family,lol. Today at Target I finally spotted the new mattels, however they had none that I really wanted...cena, kofi, batista(black), or the elites. However, after much deliberation, I did pick up the Legacy 2 pack and ironically Evan Bourne which was the one figure I coulda had last week. I passed over the Entrance great Mysterio. I was quite impressed and glad to see the figure =since i never seen the Jakks one, but for a figure i wont do much with, I just couldnt bring myself to paying 21 bucks.
Now to my review of Evan Bourne( the only one i've opened.)
Pros: Great scultps, likeness, deco, and it's great that the legs move up so that i dont chip paint off the figure.
Cons: Some stiffness in the arms which im sure will get worked out.
Overall:

Compared to Jakks...there is NO comparision. This figure is waaaay better then it's Jakks counterpart in everyway. And while Mattel gets some grief for the head scans, they nail alot of them and some of them are better than Jakks. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Rey looked like the real deal in the face scan, as the pictures did not do it justice. The figures look much better in person.
Cons: Saw alot of figures with some paint smudges on the faces which detered me from picking up the HBK/Jericho 2 pack. Also Batista's head was darker then his body which bugged me. Some minor things that happen in first production runs but something to note nonetheless. Also, It's gonna be tuff to shell out 14 bucks for these elite and i wish Mattel woulda just saved themselves some money and stuck with straight up Elites. Ah well, at least we have a choice.
So Jakks is crap to me now, and I've gotta weigh out my wallet for these figs now. happy Hunting to all and Go me!!!! WOOT ;D!
