a WRESTLING RING is something that is definitly on my mind because i noticed jakks had a ring out when they started(even though it was an ljn rerelease) but i was wondering if you guys think we will have a ring for the first series and what would you prefer the ring to be like.

mattell is known for a couple things1 they make great accessories look at batman playsets ... and 2 they know collectors when asked about batman in an interview and i quote "At Mattel the success of a toy line comes from creating innovative and fun toys first and then over laying of a license" how can you have fun without a ring. for me id just like it to be accurate enough ring steps and ropes that you dont have to tie yourself.

Actually, the Jakks repainted LJN ring was available after series 2 was released, hence there being pictures of series 2 on the back of the box (as well as Vader on the front) and it mentions to look out for series 3 coming soon.
However, I would imagine Mattel would try to produce a ring by the end of the first year, if not 6 months after the launch of series 1.

If Mattel tells the truth and keeps the figures in scale with Jakks figures, then we should be able to use our RSR's until Mattel can create a better ring if they are able to do so.
Hopefully they aren't liars and don't go and totally change the scale on us.

Surely the figures are going to be in some recognisable scale... Either the Havoc Unleashed, Hasbro, or Spring/Realscale rings will work for them until Mattel get one out.

I think for mattel to be taken seriously-they need to put out a ring with the first series which is almost guaranteed they will(they are the largest toy company in the world)-I can see them slightly delaying a ring due to the flood of wrestling rings jakks(and other companies) put out over the last 20 years causing no shortage of rings.I am just hoping they make a standard plastic ring with a similar design to the cell ring as a basic always available ring(in case assortments by brand with specific apron stickers and rope colors ie. raw, smackdown,ECW wwe classic and possibly AWA since wwe owns the name, logo and library)-because the stunt action and spring rings were manufactured with a low price point in mind keeping the size of the rings ridiculously small while kids and adult collectors I think could definitley work with a ring the size of a cell ring when the real scale ring is out of the question due to storage space or the fact that no kid could maintain all the parts on one for very long.I also think it would not hurt for the rings to come with one or two accessories like a set of steps or a table or belt.I think its possible with a ring at an srp of $17.99-$19.99......Just a suggestion.

Why would they keep the same scale knowing that there are accessories like rings that people will not buy.

Unless they change the scale to 8 or 10 inches it won't matter. 5 inch figures may cause a problem with Jakks rings but really any figures made in a 6 or 7 inch scale will work with the Jakks play-sets/rings. Mattel just has to make better rings at a good price point that makes the old Jakks rings look stupid.

i think the ring would have to be big enough to house the jakks figures
