I want something different and exciting. Ring steps are Ring steps really nothing to change about them.

I would like to see an RSR, but somewhat improved where you can add-on ring aprons and accessories like ring mats, barriers, cages, etc. without having to buy a $100 ring everytime. Something where the pieces are a little sturdier and have a better way to connect than the RSR did. I would be willing to spend a little extra for that.

What do you guys think about a different type of ring ropes? Something a little more realistic - more sturdy. Ring ropes are not elastic and springy, they are actually pretty solid study ropes. I'd like to see something a lot sturdier that would not stretch out as easily as the previous ring ropes do. No idea what type of material would work, but just a thought. I'm just anxious to see what Mattel does with a ring. Plastic... Metal... metal ring steps... Correctly constructed turnbuckles... it will be interesting.

Things I would like to see from a Mattel Real Scale Ring
More Accurate Turnbuckles- the fact that the Jakks turnbuckles are foam and cloth is great, but if you look at them closely they are not that accurate. The actual turnbuckles are way too round when you assemble them. And it takes too long to assemble them too!
Ring Ropes that Look Like Ring Ropes: The Jakks RSR uses the same ropes as the 12" ring. Hopefully Mattel can afford to make real cable ring ropes with the tape wrap for more accuracy
Pay Per View Specific Ring Aprons- How about assortments with pay per view themed aprons, so I can have my Royal Rumble in a real Royal Rumble Ring?
A Table, Ladder and Chair to hide under the ring for use in a match
A working ring bell to start the matches.
Do you think I am asking too much? I don't mind replacing my Jakks ring but any Mattel ring needs to be more accurate.

I would expect a ring pretty early. I doubt I will buy it though because I don't see how a wrestling ring could be much better than the rsr

I think we will get the same type of ropes we get now, but interchangable ring aprons and a working bell are realistic expectations from mattel.

I bet Mattel will have a different scale so you don't keep the Jakks Rings and you have to buy there's. Just a thought.

Just a thought. no just no. dont say that, I said that a long time ago, it's just logical from a business stand point. Also, regarding them using cables with tape over it, it would never work for a toy. Also, that's not what WWE uses for ropes. TNA, ECW, WCW all used cable, WWE uses actual rope but covered in tape.

I can wait for a ring while the sets build up a little, maybe after about 6 months or so.

If Mattel tells the truth and keeps the figures in scale with Jakks figures, then we should be able to use our RSR's until Mattel can create a better ring if they are able to do so. Hopefully they aren't liars and don't go and totally change the scale on us. That is the exact reason they will change the scale. Why would they keep the same scale knowing that there are accessories like rings that people will not buy. While you may be right, lets keep in mind that we would expect JAKKS to change the scale to force people to buy their respective playsets... We're not used to a company that's not so underhanded. We should also bare in mind that Mattel, realizing the superiority of the RSR, may go with the idea of making upgrade accessory packs for it. Perhaps they will release "grapple Gear"-like sets with ring skirts, ropes, turnbuckle covers, posts, steps, announcer's tables & championship belts! That would be sweeet.

Hopefully they aren't liars and don't go and totally change the scale on us. Even if they aren't, the Cell/MITB/Punjabi Prison ring would work, Jakks has those sh*tty short turnbuckles. However, an RSR 6 Sided ring is one of the few things I am looking forward to from Jakks, that and MCMG, updated Rhyno, and Sting. Probably nothing else. After seeing the Mattel test shot, I will for sure be sticking with them whether they are in scale with my RA or not.

I think the ring they make should come with the smackdown/raw and ecw aprons which easily clip on, Other aprons such as PPV and classic should be able to brought separately. Also they better release all there stuff in the Uk as well as the Us, and keep things equal.

A better ring than the Stunt Action Ring should not be a problem. They should really improve the ring posts, even if they stay at the plastic version. A sort of Jakks Hardcore Ring would be great!

Back in the day Jacks had a ring that you could store stuff under I think a rsr with maybe a bottom with openings on atleast 2 sides behind the apron would be awesome
