I can't understand how Vince basically had Jericho walking on eggshells in the beginning of his run for fear of being let go, I mean like he can't do any right (seriously, he put on a good match with CHYNA of all people but he had to get a tongue-lashing by Vince and HHH because he accidentally stiffed her), but all of a sudden Vince decides Jericho should be the one who unifies the belts (over Angle, Rock and Austin). Unbelievable looking back on how the first guy who held both WCW and WWF belts unified was booked. You could tell Vince didn't have much faith in him, but why put the belt on someone you can't sink your teeth into? He was the definition of a transitional champion (only there so Trips can get the belts, lovely) but he sure as sugar wasn't booked to look like a champion. He might as well have kissed the man's boots and handed the belts over to him on Heat! And the worst part was the aftermath: Jericho doesn't get booked for Backlash (I actually didn't remember that), which further kills any legitimacy he once had, and the ultimate climax of Triple H as champion ends within 5 weeks when he drops it to in' Hogan who's got more wax in his ears than in his candles at this point. Then they try to pass Jericho off as Vince's hired gun to combat HHH. Looking back and knowing the antimosity between the two backstage, it's really hilarious seeing them two on the same side on TV. Even then, he didn't look like a threat to the almighty god and lost again. I don't even remember what he did from then to RR '03 besides the cage match on SmackDown. Vince.

The Hardcore Battle Royal from WM2000 is definitely in my top 15 favorite matches of all-time. So much fun to watch, and the botched ending made it even better.

I also felt all of HHH vs Jerichos matches in 2002 were duds.its probably because Jericho was never presented as a genuine threat. This is the same problem with Orton chasing the title in late '04/early '05. The crowd at RR 2005 was cheering Trips and basically saying, "Piss off Orton, you're not gonna win." Both Jericho and Orton suffered in their first main event limelight by getting paired with a lacking and egotistical Triple H (seriously, the title HAD to be vacated only for him to win it back?). Luckily Orton got shoved into a feud with Undertaker which made him, but unfortunately Jericho spent a good while on the midcard (a brief lower main-event stint in the middle of 2003 which went nowhere).

let's put CM Punk of present day into 2002, and have Shamrock stick around until that time period.
CM Punk vs. Ken Shamrock CM Punk vs. Edge CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho CM Punk vs. Chris Benoit CM Punk vs. Eddie Guerrero CM Punk vs. Kurt Angle CM Punk vs. ABA Undertaker CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar
Ken Shamrock vs. Edge Ken Shamrock vs. Chris Jericho Ken Shamrock vs. Chris Benoit Ken Shamrock vs. Eddie Guerrero Ken Shamrock vs. Kurt Angle Ken Shamrock vs. ABA Undertaker Ken Shamrock vs. Rey Mysterio Ken Shamrock vs. Brock Lesnar
I know we did end up seeing a few of those (Shamrock/'Taker, Punk/Jericho) but it would be even more surreal to see that era's version of a superstar fight Punk or Shamrock.

So you're saying, HHH vs Ambrose at the biggest WrestleMania yet? I don't think so. How does Rollins/Ambrose sound, because I think that's what he actually said.

It was good, and she's right: the only two worth a damn in the ring are Nattie (but she's stuck with Khali and/or the Total Divas ladies) and Naomi (but she's stuck with Cameron). Hopefully this leads to AJ running (and winning) a gauntlet against all 7 bitchachos at NoC.

Okay. I'm just going to stop reading your posts. They're all negative, man. I spent over 400 bucks on the deluxe bundle bought a few games and was really let down its the wii with hd graphics.Play game & wario and come say im being negative. Then play NSMB U, Luigi U, Pikmin 3 and the Wonderful 101 and then you'll be positive.

Keep him off television until the Raw after Hell in a Cell, have him in one final program with either Sin Cara (where he'd announce his retirement match) or Del Rio (if he's still got the title, in which case do Title vs. Career) and have his final match at Survivor Series. He's injury prone and it's only a matter of time before he's either banged up or suspended.

I still call BS on the match being cut at Wrestlemania due to time constraints. They wouldn't have had the camera crew waiting in the dressing room for all four of them to sulk in if they didn't know what was going on. Other than that, it was a really good read.

Last night in my state of unrest, I was wondering how they'd tackle the Wrestlemania 2 arena(s). Would they only create the Los Angeles venue or would we be treated to all 3? IIRC all three had different sets but I could be wrong. I'm expecting only Los Angeles unless there's a way to get a match on the Rosemont or Uniondale cards.

Jim Johnston is a must. The guy's a master at his craft and it's only right if he gets the recognition he deserves.

Cena totally went into business for himself @er12. and he was a total idiot to do so......he was getting cheered against Lesnar when he tried to make a comeback.then he SPRANG to life, wasted Lesnar & went through his smiley crapbird routine in the ring after THAT hammering. and people wonder why he gets booed.he no sold Bryans finish at Summerslam too.moron. I thought he no-sold Bryan because he was on the verge of unconsiousness, but to each their own. The fact that the majority of people on these boards genuinely believe Cena will be the one to end Undertaker's streak is absolutely terrible.

Is it just my computer or does the 2K roster page not bring you to a little bio page when you click on superstars? I liked that about THQ's page; I liked reading through those and seeing what game each superstar debuted in...I'm hoping once entrances and such are uploaded (hoping that still happens) there might be a bio page.

I wanted to see Cena/'Taker and Brock/Rock, but I'd gladly take Brock/'Taker (which might pencil Rocky out of the event, which I'd love)

Wasn't the 1st Summerslam in East Rutherford or am I imagining things?
Anyway I'd hope so. I love MSG crowds and we always seem to get really good action when they come to New York.

Can someone down there at Full Sail call the Connecticut guys up and tell them that Cesaro deserves a damn push? Maybe with an actual feud that leads to a PPV match that steals the show? (typing that up I thought of Cesaro/Ziggler. Would crap my pants at what they can do, and how Dolph sells the Euro-cut).

Diesel should've had a program or two with Bam Bam and/or Undertaker. Mabel winning KoTR was one of the biggest mistakes in WWF history. I know Vince wanted a monster to feud with monster Diesel, but it would've made more sense to have Bam Bam or Undertaker get the shot; at least those two can work.
Michaels and Bret should've had a lengthy feud. They could've put on some great matches at KoTR and Summerslam; it would help legitimize both. Bret still wins the belt at Survivor Series, and Michaels still wins the Rumble. It would've made their WM XII encounter more special and it could've justified the Ironman match stip (although no guarantees that match would turn out any better).
There were some good matches in '95, but the booking decisions were utter failures. I think it was Vince trying to make his "monster, built guy" vision of wrestling work, although his best workers didn't fit his mold. EDIT: also, it was smart at this time for WCW to start competing, because the WWF was reeling following 1995.
