From the list, Legion of Doom.
From my own personal wishlist, WCW-era Rick Rude.

This. Kayfabe wise, I take guys like Piper, Owen, Rude, Shamrock, etc…more seriously than guys who have won world titles in the past decade. Guys like Swagger, Miz, ADR, and Kofi (I know this one will get hate) have helped to devalue world titles in the WWE (in additional to crap booking. At best, those guys were midcarders and booked like so for years before literally getting the world title out of nowhere (no big wins, no long-building story to get them to the top). Hell, I’ll even say Big E is in the same boat after being a solid midcarder for years and then hot shoted to the world title after simply winning a briefcase (yet couldn’t beat Apollo of all people just months earlier). I haven’t been watching Raw or SD for years, but of the guys released, I don’t see any as long term or legit main eventers. Guys like Kross and Lee would have simply devalued the world titles even more in my eyes like the ones I listed above. Not everyone needs to win a world title, and it’s not an insult if you don’t. Winning the Royal Rumble and the world championship match at Wrestlemania was the best method of creating new stars, but since 2010 the company has been putting on these comedy Rumbles (2011, 2012, 2019) or ones where they pretty much tell the audience "We know who's going to win, you know who's going to win and we dont care whether you like it or not!" (2014, 2015, 2016) that gets nobody over. Now you have midcarders cashing in a briefcase, weaseling their way into a championship or guys like Jinder Mahal going from a total jobber getting punked by Rob Gronkowski to winning a world title in a month and a half. Mahal is the biggest example of WWE’s poor planning/booking and hotshoting someone to the main event. Guy was a jobber for YEARS, yet in one month went from a joke for Rob Gronkowski at WM to the WWE Champion. And we even have people to this day defending that reign with crap like “the WWE finally pushes someone new, and you’re still not happy.” Well no, I prefer storytelling and stars rising through the card. Not legit jobbers getting handed the world title of the company. It can work sometimes. Sheamus debuted on ECW, dominated for a few months there, moved to Raw, and dominated there before becoming WWE Champ. There wasn’t a period of years where he was booked as a midcarder or jobber to the stars (like say a Kofi, Jinder, Miz, Big E, ect…). He was presented as a dominant star from the get-go.

I said Raw and SD…never said I didn’t watch NXT… Reading recaps is a thing too.

I find this kinda thing funny. Not because I like the current product (I couldn't watch it if I was paid). But this feeling a lot of modern fans have that these no names deserved world title runs. Back in the day you had such stacked rosters that guys like Piper, Jake, Owen, Rude, Shamrock etc didn't get to go down as champs. Nowadays it's hotpotatoed so much that to not win the title is seen as some kind of insult. This. Kayfabe wise, I take guys like Piper, Owen, Rude, Shamrock, etc…more seriously than guys who have won world titles in the past decade. Only thing of interest that I seen in McHenry County this morning, besides Harvard, was Algonquin Target having six Marvel Legends Invisible Woman figures from the new F4 wave. Anything of note in Harvard?

Do We gotta keep our boxes in order to get the replacement parts ? ? I'm curious too how this whole replacement thing works...I got 2 Kane's and was planning on opening one but not sure if I should do it yet. If it’s similar to Hasbro’s power Rangers replacement parts earlier this year, most likely just need a receipt for proof of purchase and we’d email it to Mattel customer service.

I don’t have one of these Kane’s so don’t have a dog in the fight so to speak However two things 1. People are entitled to voice their opinion, good and bad on product 2. While entitled to voice their opinion it should not go into the realms of hassling and just being annoying which this became These are what $30 toys? (I’m in the uk, not sure how much these retail for on the states) they will not always come out perfect, it’s not like your buying a $500 hot toys product or similar Bit of perspective sometimes - Steve is just a guy who works at a toy company and is kind enough as a fan and employee to give updates and info on here. Your not ‘entitled’ to a response unless you go through the official channels to Mattel to complain etc. So because these are only $30, you’re giving Mattel a pass on this error (after years of other cheap-tactics on their end). Doesn’t matter if it’s a $30 or $500 figure, I’m all for consumers calling out product concerns. Harassing one person is not the route to go, but voicing concerns to a company works. I collect hot toys. When the Mark 85 Iron Man released, the Stark head-sculpt was pretty bad and differed greatly from the promo images. Fans called out Hot Toys, and they offered replacement heads. With Hasbro, their Power Ranger Dino Thunder White figure released with major paint missing. Fans called out Hasbro, and they offered replacement heads. Now Mattel is doing the same with their “ultimate” Kane after fans called them out. If it wasn’t for fans calling these companies out, I can guarantee they’d have done nothing to correct the issues.

He had a jiggly butt. It's all I really take from him. He and Masters could have been a tag team as "The Jiggly Butts!" I preferred Rob Conway and Sylvan Grenier as La Resistance though more so than Conway and Dupree and Dupree and Grenier. I just never saw anything special in Dupree. I know he comes from a wrestling family, but he was also like 20 years old then too. I think he only was in the WWE for like 5 years if that?? I wanna say he ended his WWE career working for the ECW brand, and were putting Grenier and Dupree back together as La Resistance there but then either he got let go, or they both did. “The French Tickler!” Lol that dance always got me. Yeah he redebuted on ECW I think around 2006/7 but got released shortly after that. I think what really killed his push was throwing him with Kenzie Suzuki. That guy was crap and dragged Rene down too in the second half of 2004

I’m a fan of Nash’s run in 2003 (his matches with HHH were actually pretty good). I’d be down for a Bad Blood or SummerSlam 2003 figure.

Lol I’d actually be down for a full set of Rey elites as long as the attires span his career and are all ones that we haven’t gotten before. I’m still hoping we get a WM19 “Daredevil” Rey at some point.

Anyone else surprised he didnt amount to more in the WWE? Great look, solid worker, and played the foreign-heel role pretty well. He seemed to have all the tools Vince looks for in a star (outside of the accent lol). Guy is still the youngest performer to ever win a title in the WWE at 19, and when he moved to Smackdown in 2004, I thought he’d grow to be the foil to Cena for years.
I know he had issues with Bob Holly and got busted for drugs at one point, but Vince has always picked and choosed when to enforce punishments so it was weird to me Dupree seemed to just drop to nothingness before being released.
Anyone else a fan of the guys WWE run?

Never understand the "less emphasis on beauty" ideology. WWE's roster the last 5-10 years arguably has had many more attractive women on it than ever before. There's literally something for everyone. Apparently women can’t be gorgeous and ass kickers at the same time, hence heroines today featured with little to no makeup, disheveled hair, and frumpy clothes (while men today are often used as eye-candy, thus contradicting the whole thing).

I’d be 100% down with a repeat of the Al Wilson storyline with Alexa and Liv playing the Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie roles.

So I guess Vince is going to continue running the same 10 performers he does every week to fill his shows. Same old rematches, same old stories.

Quick Scott Steiner I threw together. Still needs some logos but liking the look and didn’t need to repaint the head as the skin tones are pretty close. What body/arms did you use? It looks great! Head: RA Scott Steiner Torso, crotch, and upper legs: Decade of Domination HHH Arms: Rusev Legs and boots: Ryback (I put this together with fodder parts, and the legs match pretty well with the kneepads breaking them up).

I think Scarlett could be a star. Any promotion would be smart to grab her.

Oh come on now, everyone knows that the Invasion angle was a hit with the top heels for WCW/ECW being Steve Austin, Kurt Angle and Shane McMahon. For nothing says WCW and ECW like Austin, Angle and Shane O Mac! Ha ha ha I know that he was kind of a big nothing at the time but bringing Big Show to the alliance and rebranding him as the Giant would have made a lot more sense and maybe helped save his career during that time. I’ve always said that if we were stuck with the rosters we got, turn Big Show and Jericho heel and have them join the alliance rather than Austin (and later Angle).

Archer is the only one I like from this wave. The first two sets of Bucks look nicer than these IMO, and FTR are brutal. Too bad neither Mattel or Jazwares have nailed them IMO. Nyla’s face looks off too, but not a fan so wasn’t interested in getting her figure to begin with.

Anyone else think the helmeted Peacemaker, looks more like Cena, than the helmet-less variant? The unmasked Elba likeness is not good, either. On top of the fact I don’t like them selling the same figure masked and unmasked in an era so many figures come with changeable heads, they were pretty bad. I only got the Peacemaker one in box because it’s Cena. The masked one is great. I’m thinking the images I’ve seen of the unmasked Affleck Batman wasn’t very good either. It’s annoying but understandable from McFarlane’s standpoint. Todd gives us a lot of unique sculpts (way more than any other mass-retail action figure provider at the moment). The multiple releases with different heads is annoying for consumers, but it helps Todd recoup money from all the new sculpting hes giving us. As far as the headsculpts not looking good, it’s the paint McFarlane is using in production. The repainted heads on Instagram look great, but whoever McFarlane is using for production is using crappy paint that’s too thick.
