The Bret/Diesel match from SS 1995 is still one of my favorite matches ever, and easily Diesel’s best match ever. From the table spot, to Bret playing possum, to Diesel’s tweener/heel turn post-match, everything about it was perfect.

Best elite Austin arm swap without cracking the torso? I know a lot of people have cracked the torso to use the Wade Barrett shoulders and arms, but hoping to avoid having to change out the shoulders (already converted the ratchet joints to balls to swap the bigger thighs on but don’t feel like torso cracking). Just looking to swap bigger arms with the current shoulders.

the biggest thing about this figure is that it wasn't found offensive by anyone UNTIL somebody decided to compare his attire to a nazi flag. then that suddenly opened this door about "well yeah i guess it could offend some people so they probably shouldnt make it" the figure was shown to the entire world IN JULY. at the biggest toy/collecting event of the year. the pictures have been circulating for 4 months. nobody said a ing thing about it being offensive. then all of a sudden today? someone's like "yeah we cant put this on store shelves because people in china or south korea wont like it and thus maybe some random person walking through Target who cares nothing about wrestling figures will see it and complain to Target" at the end of the day, its $20 less i'll have to spend. its just a figure and its not going to affect my life personally. what gets me annoyed is this constant stream of "white knight-ing" by people who have no business doing it, who never cared about a subject until it was purposefully manipulatively brought to their attention, and who get off on trying to get people in trouble for things they have no connection to. Perfectly said. And not only was this figure revealed four months ago, but RVD wore this attire DECADES ago. Nobody made a stink about it then. But one person decides today they’re going to be offended by it, and you get an army of “know it all’s” trying to shame others for finding the whole thing ridiculous. And if they are worried about a group of people possibly being offended, we might as well erase everything pre-2020. I wasn’t even going to purchase the chase unless I stumbled upon it in stores, so the white knights can throw out the “yOuR’eR uPsEt aBoUt a fIgURe” crap (though based on the posts in this thread they don’t seem to have anything else to stand on).

While none of these names are super surprising, the WWE is hampering a roster that’s seriously lacking top names already.
In the past there were “tiers” that a star would work through on there way to the top. Look at Kurt Angle for example. He debuted, and started working with guys like Taz, Blackman, Godfather, and Val Venis on his way to the European Title. Then he started working with guys in the next “tier” like Jericho, Benoit, and Rikishi on his way to the IC Title. Then he finally got to face the main event talent like Taker, Rock, and HHH. There was a clear progression that fans could follow.
Now take a guy like Bron Breakker. When he gets called up to the main roster, there’s no “tiers” for him to work through. He’ll get thrown into a feud with some former world champ like Seth, Owens, or AJ right off the bat, and likely run through those feuds pretty fast. Then we get stuck in the cycle we currently see the WWE in that consists of the same thing over and over.
Story is the WWE may not be cutting top-level stars, but they are cutting a huge chunk of their roster that can help elevate and establish the next top star. Guys like Keith Lee, Kross, and Jo-Mo may not be main eventers in the WWE, but they could have still been solid midcarders that help to elevate future stars like Bron Breakker. Fans won’t have a story to invest in when new talent is always thrust into feuds with guys like Seth, Owens, and AJ (who are also former world champs that have been toiling in the midcard for what seems like an eternity).

I cant believe Nash had five reigns considering Hulk "that doesnt work for me brother" Hogan was in the company at the same time Three of the reigns happened in the year 2000, and they were for like a day or two at the most. I think his longest reign in 2000 was in September and he held it for close to a month before dropping it back to Booker T. In May he won it and handed it to Flair so Flair could be WCW Champion. And in early 2000 he awarded himself WCW Champion I believe when Benoit left and then dropped the belt to Sid either that night or the next TV show. Nash beating Booker was made even funnier considering after Booker’s first title win, Russo was in a company meeting with Turner higher ups, claiming that WCW was going to start focusing on “newer” talent such as Booker in the top spots…yet Booker dropped the title to Nash just weeks after winning it.

I remember in the fall of 1999, Goldberg won back the US Title, and then won the Tag Title's with Bret, and it seemed like they were building him up to be WCW Champion again. Then they did the screw job finish, and Goldberg messed up his arm by smashing it through a glass window, and then when he did come back they turned him heel for some reason. I don't get that. Goldberg was one new blood talent that fans actually loved and they have him turn against the fans.... made zero sense. Shocking turns can be really great, if done right. Goldberg turning heel was a shock but for the wrong reasons. As for the Lex Luger talk too, Lex was the man in 1997. I always felt that Sting's win over Hogan at Starrcade even without that stupid screwy finish, wouldn't have been exciting, because Lex already had beaten Hogan in August for the WCW Title, and all the WCW good guys celebrated with Lex then. Sting doing it in December is just not gonna be the same excitement. Also, Lex went from being the very man in 1997, to joining the Wolfpac in 1998 to win a US Title for a few days, to turning heel, to becoming the Total Package and losing the Lex Luger name all together, to eventually teaming with Buff Bagwell as Totally Buff, and couldn't even get a WCW Tag Title run together. I don't get how you have someone like a Lex Luger, a Sting, a DDP, a Kevin Nash, a Goldberg, and you are pushing the likes of Jeff Jarrett, Mike Awesome, and Hugh Morrus to title wins and title matches in the later year of 2000. No wonder WCW didn't have any fan support near the end. WCW really booked themselves into a corner with Luger and Sting in 1997. While Sting was stalking the nWo from the shadows, someone needed to be the hero who was actually battling the nWo in the ring every night. That was Lex, and fans ate him up. I’m with you that regardless of the Sting/Hogan match being screwy or not, that it was aways gonna seem somewhat lackluster as Luger did what Sting couldnt a few months earlier. Sadly both were just lost in the shuffle come 1998, and were both pawns in the Hogan and Nash political games going on at the time.

They built Luger so well in 1996/97, but sadly he was another guy lost in the shuffle come 1998.
Hall’s demons were aparently so bad that even WCW wouldn’t put the belt on him for a few hours. That says a lot.

Anyone else find it unbelievable that Goldberg never won the WCW Title again after dropping it to Nash? Yeah, politics played a big role in this, but if there was one guy who rivaled the popularity of Austin and Rock in late 1998 / early 1999, it was Goldberg.
WCW remained in business for alittle over two more years after Nash beat Goldberg, yet passed the world title around like a hot potato. In that time, we had…
- Hogan - 2 reigns - Nash - 5 reigns - DDP - 3 reigns - Jarrett - 4 reigns - Booker- 4 reigns (before WCW went out of business) - Flair - 3 reigns - Sid - 2 reigns - Sting - 2 reigns - Bret - 2 reigns - Savage - 1 reign - Steiner - 1 reign - Benoit - 1 reign - Russo - 1 reign - Arquette - 1 reign
You’re telling me, that even with all the politicking going on, that they couldn’t get the title on Goldberg one more time?
Just another example of WCW self-imploding by burying the biggest home-grown star they had post-1997.

It’s been mentioned in a few reports at the time that HHH would have been in the Kurt Angle “heroic babyface” role and going against Austin. And I don’t think it would have worked at all. Kurt was perfect in that role and his feud against Austin legitimized him as a true badass and main eventer to the fans (Kurt’s first title run didn’t do much to put him on the level of guys like Rock and Austin in fans eyes at the time).
HHH has always worked as a heel, and I feel like we’d have seen the “reign of terror” start sooner than it did with HHH dominating everyone on team WCW/ECW (well, worse than the burial they did receive). Sucks he was hurt, but I think fans dodged a huge bullet by him missing the entire angle.

I’m a huge Thor fan and love Thor 2 as well. It has its faults but I enjoy it as a basic and fun, straight forward ride. Never got all the hate it gets. I’m also a big fan of The Incredible Hulk. I think Norton is/was a far better Banner than Mark Ruffolo. TheIncredible Hulk is a great movie. Pity about Norton & his nonsense but it ancient history now Yeah shame all that went down. I don’t completely blame him, as Universals deal with him took place before Marvel and Universal teamed up. Universal gave Norton rights to writing and final editing approval, and wanted a more character-driven story. Marvel then stepped in, removed a lot of his scenes, and tried to make it more action oriented. Norton wasn’t happy (which I don’t blame him for), but threw a hissy fit during promotion of the film and sadly he was gone. I’ve never taken Ruffolo seriously in the role. Mostly because the writing has made Hulk a joke outside of the first Avengers movie, but he comes off way too much as a goofball than one of the greatest minds in the world (similar to my issues with the Amazing Spiderman films as Peter is suppose to be a genius, yet needs Gwen to give him basic science lessons).

I'm not too worried about critical reviews. Marvel movies get slammed for being too formulaic etc etc This is getting ripped on for not following the formula. As always I'll judge for myself. I think any genuine fan of the MCU if they don't love it? will at least like it 👌 Also? I love Thor 2 😂😂😂😂 I’m a huge Thor fan and love Thor 2 as well. It has its faults but I enjoy it as a basic and fun, straight forward ride. Never got all the hate it gets. I’m also a big fan of The Incredible Hulk. Kurt Angle would break every freaking ankle in that tournament. Oh it’s true, ITS DAMN TRUE! Steamboat, Dynamite Kid, Benoit, Omega, Guerrero, Misawa, Liger, Tiger Mask, Thesz, the Harts, Shawn Michaels, Styles, Punk, Danielson, Kobashi ... etc. accept your challenge, Kurt! I still say the biggest crime was never getting a Bret/Kurt match. Yeah Bret’s concussion ruined any chance of that happening but considering how great the Kurt/Benoit and Kurt/HBK matches were, id be willing to bet Kurt/Bret would have topped them all.

Way too many to name just 4. Still want to create an IG/Twitter fan vote page with a fantasy tournament to determine the best wrestler ever. I by wrestler I mean wrestler, not storyline (Cena, Hogan, Warrior) guy. If you include Japan and Mexico you can easily get 32 names. Maybe 64. Then let the fans vote it out to see who is the best of the best. Kurt Angle would break every freaking ankle in that tournament. Oh it’s true, ITS DAMN TRUE!

While I’m not the biggest Kross or Lee fan, I will say I think they offered more with regards to future potential than a guy like Damien Priest. From what I’ve seen and heard, the crowd doesn’t seem to be all that into him and he’s older than both Kross and Lee (which goes against some reports that the cuts were partly due to age).
Again, not the biggest Kross or Lee fan, but I don’t think either got a fare shake on the main roster. They took Scarlett away from Kross and gave him some weird “BDSM/gladiator” gimmick while Lee got new music and was forced to change his ring-gear (and this is before he got sick).

The WWE has been having these Winter/Spring/Summer/Fall cleanings since April 2020. Licensees must have backup plans by now. It happens before/after the quarterly earnings reports. Their goal is maximizing profit to their shareholders. I don’t think they ultimately care about the game because they know their diehard fans will buy it even if there’s only 20 people on the active roster. I agree the WWE likely doesn’t care, but it has to be hell for licensees, especially Mattel and 2K, who usually have to plan figures waves and game rosters nearly a year in advance. There was also a report a few months back when 2K delayed the release of 2K22 to next spring that the WWE was furious, yet 2K had to explain that stars like The Fiend and Strowman were integral parts of the game, and it’s not a simple click of a button to remove them from what’s already been developed. If anything, it has to leave a bad taste in licensees mouths that the WWE doesn’t understand how these frequent roster cuts can impact these potential revenue streams. 2K wants to release a new game as much as the WWE does, yet the WWE keeps making moves that will continue to delay these products (again, the WWE likely doesn’t care if there’s 20 performers in the game, but when 2K has been developing a game around 80 performers for over a year, it’s no easy task to remove what’s been developed and shows a lack of care/understanding on the WWE’s part to be upset when the game is delayed due to there actions).

I had a friend that went to a Luger signing recently and Luger said he was still under a deal with WWE and that he has a great relationship with the company. I think it's more Mattel dragging it's feet really. "Right spot" and all I guess. Fantastic news. I'm desperate need of a WCW Luger. Either 95 or The Total Package How we don’t have an elite WCW Luger without face paint is beyond me. Guy was over like crazy and has a few looks to choose from. Yellow, blue, pink, or green trunks from his first WCW run. “Total Package” from 1995-1997. Wolfpac.
