anybody else really annoyed by the facts on RAW that talk about how great RAW's ratings are and how they beat preseason football and whatever. plus jr and tazz on smackdown were just talking about beating college football last week. it comes off as very bush-leauge and amaturish, and half of their claims aren't even true. Let me get this straight.....Its bush league for WWE to boast about beating other shows on tv, but when another network boasts about the premier of one of their new shows does good.....that's professional? o.........k

Yeah its mind boggling to think about all the double standards on this board but the way I deal with it is I think "hmmmmmm now who is the billion dollar company that revolutionized wrestling, and who is the loser talking crap on the 'net?" And then it doesn't bother me anymore

They don't have a big enough roster, but WWE could easily move some guys over and bring some guys up like Suntan Superman said. I would like to see them go to a 2 hour format, and bring back the Tag Team, and TV titles.

Rowdy Piper far and away is the greatest heel of all time. The only person that comes even close is Vince McMahon, but I will ask you this did Vince ever have to be escorted out of a building because his heat was almost so real that people wanted to kill him? I think not! If you read Pipers book that's exactly what happened to him on more than one occasion.

Khali's. put it this way, Rey might not have deserved it at the time he got it, but you honstly cant sit here and say he hasnt done enough in his career as a whole to deserve to win it. Khali however, was just given the title in like less han a year or two of being in wwe and just got it to make his character seem even bigger. I would like to add to this comment, but you hit the nail right on the head.

Man thats cool! I always love it when wrestlers actually take the time out for the fans, and actually look like they are happy to be taking a picture with you, lol.

I was working that day, it was early and my sis texted me that he had passed and it was on WWE.com............I was shocked and saddened, and it took awhile for it to sink in that he was gone.

I was there when Jericho became the first eeeeevvveeerrr Undisputed Heavyweight Champion!
I was there to see Eddie Guerrero vs. Edge at Smackdown in one of the best ladder matches to air on free tv.
I was there for the last Taboo Tuesday.
I was there when Undertaker lost his match at One Night Stand and had to "Retire."

A couple of things. 1) Vince McMahon should've been on his knees swallowing every ounce of goo that Bret had in his testicles! Vince broke a 20 year contract due to "being broke". If Bret really wanted to kill off WWF, he wouldn't have shown up on Nitro with the WWF belt, he would've simply sued Vince for Breach of Contract and took Vince for what little money he had left at the time. I don't think Bret's request to not drop the belt to a guy that he dropped it to once already, but Shawn refused to drop it back, was too much to ask Vince for. 2) To the people that say "oh, you weren't there". Nothing is ever going to convince you to anything other than what you believe. Granted, nobody on this WF board was there for these instances, but we've all quoted people who WERE there. Yet you try to find some way to dismiss their statements as well. Undertaker has told the story about how he had to threaten Shawn to drop the title to Austin. Austin says he's heard that story to be true as well. I think I'll believe those guys since they WERE there. 3) Getting back to Michaels being the same old guy. Um, anyone remember the tantrum he threw during the Hogan match and the RAW afterwards? Now I happen to believe that Michaels was just selling old school, the way that Mr. Perfect used to sell for Hogan in the 80's. However, a lot of WF'ers seem to jizz themselves at the thought that Michaels set out to "embarrass" Hogan with the overselling. Well, let's just say that all of you are right. How changed of a man and Born Again Christian can Shawn be if he set out to embarrass a 53 year old injury ridden man who was on the big stage for one of the last times in his career? How compassionate is that? You guys all praise Shawn because you hate Hogan. However, acting like a little bitch who did not get his way and "mocking" Hogan both during the match and in the follow up interview the next day, is not the act of a professional, a born again christian, or a 40-something year old man. This was 2005. Not that long ago. Its pro wrestling buddy that's the business get over it. Shawn has put over more guys than Hogan has whether Shawn wanted to or not. And how professional is not dropping the belt in Canada??? But it was Bret so it was all good. Bret would've killed off the WWE by taking their belt their...It didn't kill WCW when Flair should up with their belt in early 90's so.... ::)Every wrestler has an ego and guys like Hogan,HHH,HBK,Bret etc are entitled to have an ego because they have to go out there and bust there ass to get people like you who complain and **** about how the match was sub par. Even when Jarrett laid down for Hogan in WCW what did Hogan do. Say this is why the company was in the hotel because of bull **** like this. Every top guy gets like that one time or another. HBK honestly should've one that match IMO becuase hogan wasn't the same guy he was in 2002 and earlier. Like Dibase said Shawn Michaels is who is because of the business and Hulk Hogan is who he is because of the way he does business. And you said everyone hates Hogan but loves HBK. I liked Hogan when he was wrestling now idk because he show sucked lol but everyone loves Bret but hates HBK is what your making it seem like. Whether HBK's lost smile was true and knee injury was legitimate no one really knows but he did in a way forfeit/drop the title.. Its not like he threw a tantrum because he lost in Canada, smashing up tables and announce equipment punching people in the face and stepping one their ankle. And IMO his WCW was nothing like his WWF but we can only lame the booking. He did what he wanted and got more money but I mean the guy was great in the WWF and he was jsut lackluster TO ME in WCW no matter how many titles he won. No doubt HBK had an attitude problem but it comes with the territory. 1) That post was Hexus quality bad...and that saying something (No offense meant to Hexus but good god man! 2) Its like you said "Every top guy gets like that one time or another." Correct, but not at the frequency that Michaels has done it. When every top star of your era has a negative story about you, their is a problem with you, not professional jealousy. 3) The Hogan/Jarrett thing was between Hogan and Russo, Hogan then sued WCW over the incident and the Justice system AGREED with Hogan! 4) Bret Hart had creative control over his last match. If you ever watched "Bret Hart: Wrestling with Shadows." You would know that Vince is on TAPE agreeing with Bret to do it Bret's way, that's why Bret had the "Tantrum", he trusted that they would HONOR the contract. If Hart wanted to he could have sued WWE and he would have won. And BTW if Bret was wrong, then why didn't Vince sue the Documentary company from allowing the doc to see the light of day? 5) "It didn't kill WCW when Flair should up with their belt in early 90's".........Ummmm WCW was pretty much dead and not a threat on their own. When you have Ric Flair on your roster and you cant get more than a few hundred people to come watch him, your company sucks. 6) Shawn Michaels is a glory hound. As long as he's getting a push, he doesn't care if he has to job to guys, eventually he'll get his way and get over on them. Hogan is at point in his life where, if he has any matches left they are few and far between and in his mind doesn't want to tarnish his legacy of being "Immortal" by jobbing to guys who aren't worthy of being in his shadow. To each his own. But I will go with the guy who everyone else wants to be like, business wise, versus all the guys who do business because of the business is. Hulk Hogan is who he is because of the way he does business (Yeah filthy rich, and considered the Babe Ruth of wrestling).

Ha, you want to see a prime example of HBK killing a career, watch his match with Vader from PPV. Everyone likes to talk about Hogan "killing Vader's career" by no-selling his powerbomb in WCW. I laugh so hard when I read that. Vader's career was killed by Shawn Michaels in WWF. Michaels, who was 200lbs smaller than Vader and about 4 inches shorter, dominated his matches with the big man and often mocked him during the match. One glaring example is when Michaels came off the top rope for his elbow, Vader was supposed to move. When he didn't, Michaels landed on his feet and stomped like a child over Vader's head and bent over with every stomp yelling "MOVE.....MOVE.....MOVE......" Another example was Michaels always beating the **** out of a cameraman if they accidentally got in his way during a match. You can find any number of videos with examples of that on YouTube. Throw in Michaels breaking kayfabe in a time when fabe was still honored by throwing in little shoot comments and refusing to drop titles to people, and he is not a man that I will ever respect. He can be born again all he wants to, but he's still the same Shawn Michaels as he always was whenever he doesn't get his way.Thank you for beating me, and elaborating better than I could. I agree with you 100%! Michaels has been and always will be a douche bag, I don't care how much the WWE tries to shove it down our throats that he's a "Legend"(LMAO). I LOL'ed when Michaels said to Jericho at Summer Slam "I'll tell my kids that I can't wrestle because of a vile, selfish, worthless human being." All I could think was "Shawn just broke kayfabe on himself."

Hopefully the doctor tell him to quit his bitching, and then Michaels retires claiming his god is a fraud and the one true god is Chris Jericho. That would be the Greatest thing EEEEEEVVVVVVEEEERRRRRRR!!!!

Andre the Giant, because he was the first and the first is always copied. Without Andre the rest of the guys are made into sideshows and not given the big monster treatment the way Andre was. Andre was able to play that off so well, and made people money, and money for himself that everyone since then has been pushed that way.
