I don't know why I dislike it so much, I only enjoed the two Heavyweight Championship matches and the MitB a little bit.
I just think it was the worst one I've seen, and I've seen from 2001 to 2008.
It didn't have a WM feel to it, and I think the matches just seemed thrown on the match card.

Looking back things may always seem really bad to the latest incarnation of somethin, I.E. Mania 24 was the best Mania for well EVER, so how would 23 compete, it can't so it will look worse than it was, now. I think it was a pretty damn good show at the time tbh, brill Mania but not up there with Mania 24 & 21 imo.

I think 20 was the worst honestly. It was an ok show but it was overhyped to be the best thing ever and it just wasnt. Plus Brock Lesner vs Goldberg happened

i coodnt even stand 2 watch the main event at 23 There was nothing wrong with the main event of Mania 23... It wasn't badly booked, you just prefer to have an overwhelming bias that anything involving Cena bad... or atleast that's how it appears

Another bad point was that most of the roster was missed off of the show.
Benjamin, Carlito, Flair, HHH, Rey, Nitro, Helms, Chavo and Regal were all missed off for whatever reason, whilst guys like Khali, Cor Von, Striker, King Booker and Thorn were on the show. Then RVD was stuck in that boring 4 vs. 4 match, Big Show had just left the WWE, Lashley was 'ECW Champion', JBL quit wrestling to commentate and Jericho was long gone.
Now all of that has changed this year, and so that makes last year's 'Mania look even worse.

23 wasn't too bad for me. TBH, I don't like the old Wrestlemanias. (1-5)

I don't know if it's one of the worst, but I certainly don't like it. It had some good build to it though, but the card just wasn't very good to begin with. In the weeks leading up to the event, I wondered if they'd pull off a surprisingly entertaining show like the year before (IMO, WM22 had one of the worst cards, on paper, in Wrestlemania history. But I gotta hand it to them, because they pulled off a pretty entertaining show). When people were saying WM24 wasn't as good as 23, I just wondered "Was 23 their first WM?" I could understand if they were caught up in they hype of their first WM. Or "Were they at the event?" I understand the bias that comes with attending a live show. But IMO, I just can't imagine how anyone could put WM23 in their top 5 Wrestlemanias. Or WM21 for that matter.

It was a good show I thought. Batista & Taker was amazing, as were alot of other matches.

I purchased WM23 tickets strictly because Hogan had been rumoured to be there. As the time got closer and I realized he wasn't going to be on the card, I started paying a lot more attention to the other matches. Personally, the two main events and MITB were the only 3 matches that had me interested. This year at WM24, I was excited for every match on the card except Finlay and JBL...but even that one entertained me at the Citrus Bowl.

I may be in the minority but prefer 23 over 24 easily. 24 besides Flair/HBK & Taker/Edge did nothing for me. I watched 24 again last night to see if I was wrong or could be persuaded in my opinion but nothing helped.

Now all of that has changed this year, and so that makes last year's 'Mania look even worse. HHH was injured for WrestleMania 23 so he couldn't compete. As was Rey. I think last year's Mania was very good, and it certainly had the Mania feel to it, with 83,000 people being there and a really great build behind it. The 2 Title matches were brilliant, the MITB was the entertaining car wreck it always is, Benoit/MVP was a well wrestled match and the Battle Of The Billionaires was a ton of fun to watch, and again, was well hyped. With this year's WM being so good, last year's will probably be looked upon less favourably, which is unfair because, as I just mentioned, there was some great stuff on there. The only matches that stunk were Kane/Khali and the Women's match, but that was to be expected I think.

Yeah, I wasn't really a fan either. The MITB, ECW and WWE title match were the only ones I actually liked to watch.

Is it just me who thought WrestleMania XX sucked ? I wouldn't say it sucked, but it's severely overrated. The 2 Tag Title matches were pretty worthless and the Women's match was pretty terrible too. The CW invitational was a bit of a mess too. It just seemed to me that the 'E' tried to fit as many people as they could on the card so they could be a part of the 20th WrestleMania, but it didn't really work. Also, Lesnar/Goldberg happened, which didn't help matters. On the other hand, Cena/Big Show wasn't a bad opener and Jericho/Christian was a very good match with a great heel turn by Trish to boot. Eddie/Angle was good as well. The triple threat, without the emotion surrounding Benoit's quest to win the Title, is just a decent triple threat and not a lot more. I like it, but, even before the Benoit murder case last year, the more I watched it, the less I liked the match as a stand alone match. The same can be said for the Taker/Kane match as well. Taker's return as the Deadman was pretty epic and extremely well done, but the match itself left a lot to be desired. Oh, and before I forget it, Evolution vs Rock & Foley was actually an entertaining handicap match. But yeah, WM XX, content wise was just ok, nothing mind blowing about it.

I actually have no idea how you can say that Wrestlemania 23 didn't have the 'feel' to it. As a spectacle, it was amazing. The first time it had been in a huge Arena/Stadium for what, four years, and the whole lighting, Stages, Pyro etc was something out of this world.
John Cena V Shawn Michaels and Batista V Undertaker were brilliant matches, and the Undercard wasn't that bad either. Chris Benoit V MVP was fairly good. The product itself wasn't that great no, and it certainly wasn't as good as Wrestlemania 24, but still, I don't think it's one of the worst Wrestlemania's ever, no way. I'd much rather watch 23 that something like 11, 8, or even 4.
