Quick question for those going to the HOF ceremony next Saturday...
I know the dress code is business attire, but just how dressy do you plan to be? I ask because I'm planning on wearing a shirt, tie and sportjacket. One of the people I'm going with is just doing shirt and tie. I just don't want to feel I've overdressed. Anyway, any of you wearing suits or sportjackets?

I think you'll be fine just wearing a shirt, tie and sport jacket. I think even just a dress shirt and dress pants would be fine. Just as long as your not a jackass wearing a wrestling shirt and blue jean shorts you'll be fine.

I have only been to one HOF, last year, and if you wore the sport coat, you'd be one of the better dressed if its the same. Most had dress pants and dress shirt, but a lot came in jeans and wwe t-shirts even though the ticket said to dress up.

When I went to the HOF in Chicago I thought I was going to be overdressed in my coat and tie but there were other people dressed just as nice.. then you have those that feel they need to wear there wrestling t-shirt in. Really just a nice dress shirt and jeans or khakis will be fine.. even go with the tie and jacket like I did it really does not matter.

Yeah they can't deny you access because you're not dressed appropriate. They would just like everyone to be.

Refunds aren't valid, so neither is people who paid high prices gonna be denied at the door. With that said, you can be a wrestling fan... but don't be a mark, it's a formal gathering. Regardless of what may seem fine at a wrestling event.

Last wear I wore khaki's and a dress shirt...A lot of people wore wrestling shirts and jeans, which was kind of inappropriate for the Fox Theatre

im going and I plan on somewhat dressing up
Im wearing a Black with silver/gray stripes which are razzle bedazzled collars shirt with a pair of gray dress paints and black dress shoes.
I think they are pretty serious about the whole dress code thing, especially since its on the tickets

That's why I think business casual is just fine. To me the I didn't see any signs of the dress code being enforced, but it's common sense though that you should be dressed appropriately and that doesn't have to be a suit, a nice dress shirt and nice pants whether they're jeans or not is sufficient.

Honestly, I'll probably just wear jeans and a polo shirt. Maybe khakis. I wear a shirt and tie every day at work, I really don't feel like wearing it to a wrestling event.

Really, there is no dress code this year. I'm going and bought one of the travel package things so they e-mailed an itinerary and when talking about the HOF it says, "There is no dress code requirement for this event."
