I could see a more strict dress code if it were in a smaller venue, like a ballroom, or a concert hall. But, it's in a basketball stadium.

Really, there is no dress code this year. I'm going and bought one of the travel package things so they e-mailed an itinerary and when talking about the HOF it says, "There is no dress code requirement for this event." Its true.

I went to The HOF in Detroit and chicago, I wore a long sleeve button up with some nice jeans and that was about it. I think thats fine, but its ridiculous to see these idiots there wearing a bandana and a 90's the Rock tee shirt with worn out jeans, I see them every year, no doubt theyll be at this years also.

They only say that so nobody goes wearing skanky baggy jeans with huge Shirts and ruined trainers etc. It's common sense to stick a pair of shoes on, but doesn't mean it has to be Smart wear. Just go Casual Smart, and wear what you would wear Clubbing.

I went to the HOF in Chicago & wore a dress shirt with a tie, & dress pants. Since the re-creation of the HOF ceremony, I think more & more fans are dressing in the business attire each year. I think you will be fine with what you are planning to wear.

Honestly, I'll probably just wear jeans and a polo shirt. Maybe khakis. I wear a shirt and tie every day at work, I really don't feel like wearing it to a wrestling event. it is not a wrestling even . it is the HOF not some wrestling event . you need to treat is like a hOF not some wrestling show . this is shirt & tie event not some casual bullcrap.

Yeah, like I said, if it were in a formal setting, where I was actually meeting wrestlers, and mingling in a crowd, in a ballroom type setting, sure, I would agree with you. It's in a basketball stadium. Polo shirt and jeans. Thanks.

ALSO AT FORMAL EVENTS FOR WRESTLING YOU DON'T GET TO ACTUALLY MEET WRESTLERS OR MINGLE IN THE CROWD AT ALL.ALL OF HALL OF FAMES ARE FORMAL. SO IT DON'T MATTER WHERE IT IS BECAUSE IT IS STILL A FORMAL EVENT.ALSO AT HALL OF FAMES YOU DON'T GET TO MEET THE PEOPLE BEING INDUCTED OR GET TO MINGLE IN THE CROWD. THAT IS HOW HALL OF FAME WORKS.

If it were a formal event, the dress code would be formal, not business casual.
