Both were good but I prefer 1998. The Taker/HBK match was great. LOD/NAO was another great match. Austin winning the Rumble was awesome and was going to Mania. The ending to the casket match was awesome as well at the time.
1999 was good but I didn't like the Rumble. The only match I really enjoyed was the Rock/Mankind and the Billy Gunn/Shamrock wasn't bad.

I didn't care for '99 with the whole Austin and Vince leaving the arena bit.
1998 was pretty solid, even if most of the participants were lame, also the casket match was awesome.

i accidentally voted 99 forgetting that 98 was the better of the 2. i got 98 confused with 97
98 was awesome. the end of the rumble match was classic the casket match was crazy good, and the rest of the card held up definitley better than 99

99, it was the first PPV I ever saw, and the 2nd Wrestling show I ever saw, yep, 9 years ago
But yeah, I still say Bossman should have won the Rumble, lol

1998 by far. Marked the rise of Austin and the Rock. And literally the fall of Shawn Michaels when he broke his back on the casket.

Where's The Rock & Austin now? high five! Shawn Michaels is still on top! high five! Rock- continuing to make millions and has a great legacy . Has enough sense to stay away. One of the few who is done when they said they were done. Austin- Had an injury and has the sense to stay out of the ring. Makes appearances every now and then. Michaels- Still out their putting on matches nowhere compared to his old ones and is doing nothing to build onto his career. Sure he has had some good matches since his return, but shouldnt have came back after Orton "ended" his career. Needs to hang up the boots.
