Demolition's record should NEVER be broken.
I know it's inevitable that New Day will break it but man that is so wrong on many levels. Just my opinion here but I think New Day's act is overrated and dumb as hell. We went from an awesome team like Demolition to the ''New Day''. That speaks volumes on todays garbage tag division.
I'm interested in what you guys think about it. I can't be the only old school fan that thinks this.

Demolition is cool as hell. But it wouldn't bother me if their record was broken.
I like the New Day, they're a cool tag team. Kind of like the New Age Outlaws with how over they are and what they can do with a crowd and hoe they act (Enzo and Cass too). I see no problem in them beating Demolition.

Lol records are made to be broken dude. Didn't grow up with Demolition, not a fan of the stuff I've seen from them. Don't care if New Day breaks the record.

Demolition was alright.. but New Day is better. However, I'm bored as all ing hell of New Day as champs. I wish they would've never lost to the PTP the first time, that way they'd have the record by now. I just want New Day to hit 500 days and then lose it immediately. The Club and Enzo and Cass are both over due for their own runs with the titles. I want New Day to have it, but I'm also so bored of it I wouldn't mind if they lose it at any point.

I loved Demolition but I am okay with their streak coming to an end. That was in 1988 - 1989, almost 30 years ago! So its okay if a new team are the ones to end the streak.
However, I do feel if Bill Eadie and Barry Darsow weren't on that list to sue the WWE, that their streak of being the longest WWE Tag Champions would probably still be intact.

I'm alright with New Day breaking the record, they're actually the most over tag team I've seen in years but I also do agree they are starting to get stale and boring so once they break the record they should immediately lose the titles.

Like its been said before, records cant be kept forever I don't see Bruno Sammartino's record ever being broken. That's a huge difference though! Bruno was champion when Jesus Christ himself was born, and held the WWWF Title for well over 1900 years at least. Okay, I am clearly over exaggerating but Bruno was champion for many, many years. The closest we had in the last 10 years was CM Punk's 14 month reign as WWE Champion.

Like its been said before, records cant be kept forever I don't see Bruno Sammartino's record ever being broken. Yeah but that's similar to old basketball records where the game was totally different.

Like its been said before, records cant be kept forever I don't see Bruno Sammartino's record ever being broken. You're comparing a title reign of 480 some days to a 7 year title reign. Yeah you're right, Brunos record could not be broken. Its not impossible to happen since i dont ever see Vince ever agreeing to booking someone as champion for 7 years, even if its Roman Reigns.

True but regardless it's a record that will never be broken. But that's a record that CAN'T ever be realistically broken in this day and age. Bruno's FIRST reign was 700 days longer than Hogan's SIX COMBINED reigns. Bruno 4,040 days over 2 reigns Hogan 2,185 days over 6 reigns Cena 1,240 days over 12 reigns See the downward slope there? Most other wrestling records can be broken. It's just a matter of finding the right guy that fans can get behind.

I understand they're over and all but that's seriously the best team that got to break Demolition's streak?

Like you said, look at how over the New Day is. Considering the tag division has been so horribly lacking for the last decade plus...then yeah, they really are the best bet. They're over in the way that Demolition and LOD were thirty years ago.

I understand they're over and all but that's seriously the best team that got to break Demolition's streak? Like I said earlier on in a post, I really don't think the WWE had any real intention of New Day breaking the streak, until Bill and Barry joined that law suit to go after the WWE. I am sure then Vince pretty much said, "screw them" and wanted to erase them from the history books. And what better way than to have their streak of being the longest WWE Tag Champions taken away.
