I heared Okada vs. Roderick Strong was awesome. This shouldn't shock anyone. I've been a fan of Strong for a long time, but this past year he's just been on another level entirely. I knew this match would be amazing as soon as it was announced. I can't wait to actually watch it myself. I saw him vs. Shinsuke Nakamura live, god damn it was great. i'm really excited to see his match against Okada. Really hope he goes to Japan next year and faces Makabe and Ishii.

Big E did it again. This is truly the best. Sasha/Bayley was the best part of the weekend. This moment was a close second.

So, is anybody going to mention the fact that Bray Wyatt's Streak ended last night? 2-1. That's right, Roman Reigns is the 1 in 2-1!

I must say watching it live at the Barclays Center it was EASILY PPV of the year for me.
When Owens/Cesaro is not even a top three match that is saying something....

I think Cesaro/Owens suffered by being on after Cena/Rollins and before Undertaker/Lesnar, yes I know Divas were on after Cena/Rollins.
The crowd was still calming down from the WWE title match and were were probably antsy to see Lesnar. Especially that this was a 4 hour show. Definitely hurt but I enjoyed Cesaro and Owens for what it was.

I enjoyed the show. Thought the tag match was great. Apart from the finishes to Rollins/Cena and Taker/Lesnar I thought they were good matches too.
Jon Stewart interfering just didn't work for me. Plus it didn't help he made it so obvious what was going to happen. Oh well! Interested to see what happens there though.
The Taker/Lesnar finish will probably turn out to be okay but I just found it very confusing at the time and I feel almost everyone involved was confused by it too. Think we will definitely be getting a third match though.

I could be totally off base here, but, after thinking about the way things went down with Cena and Rollins last night and listening to some podcasts today, I've got a working theory...
I think there's a genuine possibility that WWE is starting to put out the feelers to position Seth Rollins as the lead babyface. We know that the Roman Reigns experiment has failed, at least for the time being. We know that WWE is at least generally aware that they need to to start looking past John Cena (they wouldn't have done what they did with Roman the way they did it without knowing that Cena's days as the #1 guy are numbered), and they've shown a genuine interest in keeping Rollins in the spot he's in. That's by design. Ratings are down, and it's been a ten year tradition for Vince to see that and immediately push for status quo (ie: Cena as champion.) Yet, Rollins went out there last night, worked the match as a legitimate babyface, got cheered like a legitimate babyface, and retained the title with the help of well-respected and generally well-liked comedian.
Here's the thing: if there's any longevity to this Stewart angle, especially the idea of him working alongside Rollins as a manager of sorts, WWE has to be aware that people probably aren't going to boo Jon Stewart. Furthermore, it's not really in Stewart's best interest to go out on TV and dump all over the audience, which, truthfully is what he'll need to do to get booed.
Then there's the obvious Triple H/Seth Rollins match. General trend would indicate that H would play the babyface and Seth the heel, but that's easily flipped. Triple H hasn't committed to being the good guy, and with Triple H's position, the match is probably going to look like "authority figure is trying to hold down young talent", whether they book it that way or not.
Just a thought.

Taker vs Lesnar was ing dope. I'm re watching it now. I literally just got done. I was sucked in the whole time. It exceeded my expectations although I expected it to be better than the streak match. From the physicality to the crowd to the storytelling. It was a superb main event. You don't get a buzz in an arena like that for every main event

Taker looked like a completely different person compared to Mania 30. And the story telling. My god the story telling. Both men put on one hell of a match. And have sold me on wanting the rubber match before mania 32.

i enjoyed the show honestly. to be fair though, i cheated, and watched it in two parts. i watched until rollins/cena ended last night, then went to sleep and watched the last 3 matches after work. it probably helped to keep me invested in mostly the entire show, instead of being burnt out by the screwy finish on rollins/cena.
i thought there were 3 legit good matches... rollins/cena, cesaro/owens and taker/brock. i know two of those had goofy finishes, but backstage logic wise, both screwy finishes make sense, since you know cena couldnt go down clean, and both brock and taker had to stay looking strong. all of that was accomplished, although the whole jon stewart thing was a head scratcher. i honestly didnt mind the taker/brock finish though.
i also rather enjoyed the 4 way tag title match [and most especially the result and victory celebration], and reigns/ambrose vs wyatt/harper, which surprised me a bit, but i suppose it shouldnt have. honestly, i was expecting a screwy heel turn in that one, but i guess they realized that too much screwyness was gonna happen, better to not oversaturate, and theyll save the dean/roman turn for a later time.
i did get bored after new day though... i had not even a single care coming into the show for dolph/rusev [which is a shame, because i like both guys, the story and build just did absolutely nothing for me], neville/amell vs barrett/stardust and the ic title 3 way. i didnt pay much attention to the divas match after sasha got eliminated either, i was in the middle of eating and lost interest.

Overall a really good SummerSlam imo. The MOTN for me would be either Lesnar/Taker, Cena/Rollins or the Tag Titles match. Lesnar/Taker was great despite the meh ending and could have been 5/10 minutes longer, Cena/Rollins was also great and the ending was funny imo, The Tag Titles match was also great and the New Day celebration was epic lol.
Hmm I'd say this has to be the PPV of the year for me.
