I thought the show was awesome. Everything was good except that awful IC TItle match that never should have been booked in the first place.
I'm a little ticked off at John Stewart causing Cena to lose. I'm usually ok with Celebrity stuff (Stephen Amell was way better than I expected)....but the WWE and US Titles are, IN MY OPINION, way too important for JOHN STEWART to decide who wins/losses.
Sheamus/Orton was pretty good. Tag Team match was FANTASTIC. Rusev/Ziggler was good, but obiously they are still building. Ambrose/Reigns vs. Wyatt's was a WAR. Good match. Stephen Amell/Nevill vs. Stardust/Barrett was WAY better than I expected. Divas Match was ok. Don't know why they didn't let Sasha really do anything, and Team Bad got eliminated way too early. Rollins/Cena was AWESOME. Again, not happy about Stewart. Owens/Cesaro was good, but it was a no win situation. Both guys really needed that win. Ryback/Big Show/Miz was TERRIBLE.
Now, Brock vs Undertaker. The match was FANTASTIC. This match showed that Undertaker can still go. I understand the finish because they wanted controversy so neither guy took a clean loss. But the match was great. I wasn't expecting much because Brock F'd Taker up so bad at WM30, but Undertaker took a beating and kept on going.
Obviously, the Brock Lesnar/Undertaker story is FAR from over.
And as far as Sting goes....I think it's time to stop watching shows hoping and waitng for Sting. WWE does not seem to have ANY desire or intentions on promoting or using Sting in a match and having him beat a WWE Superstar. I think WWE is content to just make money off of Sting's name and continue to pump out merchandise and have him do appearances here and there. Sting got his Mania match, they made him eat the pin to Paul McMahon just like every other big name from another company......I don't see Sting wrestling for WWE again. WWE got what they wanted from him when they sacrificed him at Mania in a Monday Night War reenactment.

Someone from Reddit actually came up with a logical reason for Stewart helping Seth beat Cena

No time to write a more in-depth post right now but I loved Summerslam overall. Other than the screwy finish (which we were kinda expecting, no?) the Lesnar/Taker match was INCREDIBLE.
And it has to be said now.... holy fn hell... Taker shut SO many people up tonight with his performance. We've been hearing nothing but "he can't go, he can't move, he's done". Damn, did he prove them wrong.

Pretty exciting pay-per-view all in all, but what was with those finishes?
First that awkward John Stewart interference. He was obviously waiting for Cena to get up to hit him and couldn't hold back from tipping his hand for a second, pretty bad. (but hey, cena lost...)
Then the lame finish where an eagle-eye timekeeper rings the bell because he saw the tap but the ref didn't...
Normally the timekeeper would never ring the bell unless the ref told him, but we're supposed to believe he does it in the biggest match of the year. Sure...

I thought SS was pretty decent this year, but I didn't see the need for it to be 4 hours, especially since it felt like a lot of the matches were super quick anyway.
I guess my main gripe with the card was the lack of caring I had for most of the matches. It really came down to Cena vs Rollins and Undertaker vs Lesnar...everything else, while pretty fair, just didn't resonate with me. There weren't any great stories.
Big show, miz and ryback was the snooze fest that I expected it to be (staying true to this entire feud which has gone on way too long). Three guys that are insanely boring in a match that was so short that I couldn't understand why it needed to happen in the first place. Cesaro and KO was fantastic as expected. Ziggler and Rusev was pretty meh, buy LOTS of eye candy thanks to Lana and Summer lol.
Rollins vs Cena was actually extremely entertaining. Loved Rollins new attire, and I'm already anticipating that figure. Great finish despite the interference (which I normally hate), but it was such a WTF? moment, it was actually well done because of the surprise factor, and it will garner more questions and perhaps more involvement from John Stewart (new member of the Authority?)
Lesnar vs Taker was my most anticipated match and it definitely delivered. I appreciate the fact that it was miles better than their mania match, and while taker was noticeably winded at times, I think he did a fantastic job! I'm kinda torn on the finish...at first, I was marking our because, YES taker won clean (despite low blow, lol) but then they showed that replay...and my heart sank a bit. So he actually lost, but won. Even now I'm trying to rationalize it by saying, it's in the record books that he won. But it's a tainted victory. But he still won, he beat Lesnar and made him pass out, no less! But fat Heyman is going to waddle out tomorrow night and blah blah blah, taker tapped...he shouldn't have won...blah, he can't beat Lesnar clean blah blah.
which would obviously bother me to a point because he's going to try and take the validity out of the win, but what bothers me most is that I'm guessing it's going to lead to a rubber match. I couldn't help but say to myself, "what the hell is Vince trying to do to undertakers legacy? First the streak, now he's dealing out low blows and only wins due to a referee screw up? We're probably not going to see him wrestle much more, and this is how they're wrapping it up? It just feels...cheap and like he's this sore loser. It's not his character. And I mean, if you want him to be a heel, then fine, but actually make him a monstrous badass heel...not a cheap shot cheater.
And really, does anyone want to see Lesnar/Undertaker III? People barely wanted to see II until they sold it well enough...but I'm not so certain they can do that again. If taker only has a few matches left in him, I want to see him face new opponents. Undertaker proved in his last 2 matches that he can still put on a good show. Not to mention the fact that the more he faces Brock the more potential there probably is for injury again. Sting showed us that he's still got it.
It's the dream match; make it happen. WWE is sitting on money and it's like they don't know it. I'm still praying he and sting face off at mania (I don't think Lesnar/Taker III will be there like stone cold predicted...that's way too far off, and I don't think it's a match-up that could sustain that much momentum on its third bout for 8 months). I think stinger and taker will happen, I mean, WWE can be dumb but I hope they aren't that dumb.

Someone from Reddit actually came up with a logical reason for Stewart helping Seth beat Cena This makes logical sense, but I still don't like the idea of Stewart getting involved. It really made the ending cheap and did more to hurt Rollins than help him if he had just gotten the clean win.

Yeah that actually does make a lot of sense. You could see that he looked torn, like he wanted to hit Rollins because of their issues, but he hit Cena for the 'greater good', preserving Flair's record and doing what the hardcore fan would want. Raw should be pretty good

Just got home from it and I really enjoyed the event live overall. I'd like to go back and watch Wyatts/Shield as I didn't really enjoy it that much live so maybe it came off better during the broadcast, but I really thought Reigns was going to turn on Ambrose when he wa setting up for the spear while Ambrose was standing on the second rope. Im with everyone else though on the finishes - Lesnar/Undertaker was great with the exception of the finish. When the first bell rang it was such an odd feeling at the Barclays, literally no one had a clue what happened. I legitimately thought it was a up or the start of the Brooklyn Screwjob. This clearly sets up the unnecessary rubber match as Lesnar technically won both matches this year.

Overall I thought the whole PPV was awesome one of the best of 2015. Lesnar flipping off Undertaker at the end was pretty great!

There's fan video footage of Undertaker collapsing right before he makes it backstage after the match that's going around. People are unsure if he was selling injuries from the match or if it was real. Needless to say, I really hope Taker is OK.

Awesome show tonight. I felt like every match tonight was good and delivered, with the exception of that Divas match and the triple threat IC title match(which were both decent). Match of the night for me would probably go to Cena vs. Rollins. Undertaker vs. Lesnar was great and miles better than their WM30 match. I'd give Summerslam a 9/10. Best PPV this year.

Actually I'm hearing he apparently just tripped over a cord in his way and popped up and looked all like "I meant to do that." lol
Michelle McCool was posting a bunch of stuff on instagram after the ppv tonight so I'm assuming she wouldn't be posting selfies and stuff at the event and backstage afterward if he was really hurt.

- Sheamus/Orton was a bore, surprised to see the 'Hawk go over - Tag Title match was fun, lots of cool spots - The Arrow match was fun, too, Amell took offense and then gave way to Neville who got a huge rub beating two guys. Barrett & Stardust didn't look bad and honestly they should remain a tag team... give them something to do. - Surprised so many people are ragging on the IC Title match. They gave it like 10 minutes and they were all well-spent. Not sure what you were hoping for. - Jon Stewart interrupting the match was so great! Would not have seen that coming, but it made sense, him being buddies with Rollins recently. Also, he's "one of the old school fans" - of course he hates Cena! - The women's match was a crapshow, particularly in contrast to Bayley/Sasha. Brie Bella has no business being in there with the other women. - Owens/Cesaro was good but it could have been so much more! I expected them to steal the show, but it just was there. - Taker/Lesnar was the match of the night. Did I mention my feed cut out before the ending? Just kidding it didn't and it SUCKED. Here was my reaction: The "idea" of the ending makes a lot of sense but the execution was horrible! 1, how would the timekeeper have been able to see Taker tap out from his angle? He wouldn't. And 2, why didn't they actually show that ON CAMERA as it was happening? They ed that up, too. That was borderline TNA levels of nonsense. To quote somebody else on Twitter, I'd have been okay with the ending if Taker/Lesnar 3 was something I actually wanted to see. Guessing it's at Hell in a Cell. Oh, and enjoy Rollins as Champion while you can because as Owens/Rusev/Wyatt and a host of others know, Cena will let you win the first time, but after that he's going to beat you 3 times to "get his heat back." EDIT: I forgot the Shield/Wyatts match entirely. That, in itself, is really a review of how exciting it was.
