Anyone ever have it? I do landscaping and somehow must of ripped it out of someone's yard with it without knowing. I now have it on my right hand, my left wrist and an area I won't mention. I must have used the bathroom before I washed the oils off. Anyone ever get it? How did you cope?

One of the worst things on earth.
I haven't had it since I was a little kid. Some people become immune to it over the years.
Welcome to hell.

Ahh that sounds horrible! I've never had it. I always thought it was only in the woods but I guess it can just be in your own backyard?!

I always got it from out outside cats. The best thing is to use calamine lotion (the pink stuff). Apply it & let it dry. In 2 to 3 days, it'll be gone.
Sorry to hear about your uncomfortableness.

I can pretty much rub the stuff on me and not get it. However my bro is seriously allergic, he can walk by poison ivy 10 ft away and catch it. He uses calamine lotion and some type of itch relief spray. Make sure you monitor it. One time he got it, it spread so bad, his eye had swelled shut and he had to go to the hospital to get a shot.

I remember when I was a young kid my cousin's friend said to me "pick me one of those green leaves" and I stupidly fell for it - deeply unpleasant. Haven't encountered poison ivy in a LONG time.

I'm literally the only person in my family who isn't allergic to poison oak/ivy. I'm the only with frequent kidney stones though so everything evens out.

At first I thought this was going to be about the Drew Barrymore film...then I was all like "that's too obscure". Then I thought this was gonna be about the DC villain... Then I was all like "there's a thread for DC stuff".
Come to find out I was wrong on both accounts.
Oh, yeah, I have never had contact with poison ivy.

I've had it on my ankles, the important thing to do is get it checked out asap so you can get started on meds also wash everything that you may have touched, the skim irritant that causes poison ivy is an oil which is why it spread the way it did

When I was little my Dad almost died from getting poison sumac (stronger than ivy but same idea in terms of contact and symptoms) He waited too long to go to the doctor Had to go to the hospital overnight They said if he waited 24 more hours to get help he would've died Crazy sh*t

When I was a teenager (a loonnnnggg time ago) my boss at the restaurant asked me to help him clear some vegetation from the back of the parking lot. Neither of us realized that we spent the entire afternoon literally covered in poison ivy. I spent two weeks in hell as it covered my entire upper body. The only upside was that my boss got it even worse than me and because go of that he knew how much I was suffering so he paid me for the full work shifts I missed during those two weeks.
As for how I dealt with it, the only thing I remember is lots of lotion plus ice cold baths instead of hot showers.
