And I think it's pretty safe to say, Reigns gained some fans last night. I don't know if I'd consider myself a fan of Reigns, but 'Mania was the most impressed I've been with him. He at least won me over to the point where I won't make jokes about him being garbage or "not ready" anymore. What makes him "ready" now? The fact that he took a legit ass whooping from Lesnar and stiffed him back once, or twice? He took some nice bumps, but he didn't DO anything last night... at all.

From my personal perspective, Reigns looked like the main eventer that WWE wants him to become for the first time. He gave a very, very solid performance in an insanely pressure-filled situation. I do think that he still needs work and to learn how to be more receptive to criticism, but he impressed me at WrestleMania. When I say that I won't make any jokes about him "not being ready," it isn't because I feel that he is now. It's because I can see progression in him and know that sooner than later, he will be.

That's my question, what progression? What was impressive? He seriously kicked Brock a couple of times, Superman punch three times and speared him three times. Outside of taking some wreckless bumps, it was the same old stuff from him.

In my personal opinion, Reigns sucked last night. That's not a generic 'HateReignsLOL' - I genuinely thought he sucked. His selling, to me, was awful. Just blatantly obvious he's not actually being beaten into a pulp by a machine like Lesnar. He pulled a few good surprised faces, but overall his performance was eh to me. Glad he didn't win the title.

Ortons victory over Rollins was to set Orton up a challenger to Rollins as a champ. Rollins character is a chicken crap heel. If you can't put these two things together you are either new to wrestling or you just don't get it.
With Rollins character the way it is he doesn't need to look super strong. He needs to cheat his ass off and hold onto that belt with every last breath he has.
You kick his ass, he finds a way to cheat to win and then he gloats about it forever. Every thing Rollins has done since he turned has been cowardly and it built up to last night.
And it'll be huge when he finally wants to fight fair and turns face.

HOLY crap! Just finished watching the network, having subscribed to it earlier tody to watch mania in full HD, (first of all, love the network) BUT WOW my favourite mania in years! Deliberatley stopped posting in this thread after the rusev match after i saw al the negativity being thrown to mania and it was making me not enjoy watching it. Watched it on my own and honestly, i loved EVERY match. Sting vs HHH was a complete cluster and was thrown together last minute with no sense made...BUT...my god did i mark out during that match. The way NwO and DX came out just brought back so many memories, and i loved it. The ending sucked, the storyteling with the shaking hands etc made no sense as sting wasnt even IN, the NWo but entertainment ise it was incredible. Loved takers new look, back to his WMXX attire. His added hair made him look younger than last year and bryatt put on a great showing. I thought he had him at that last sister ab but that tombstone was vicious, awesome! The main event was incredible. I was team reigns through and through, but weirdly, i didnt mind lesnar beating the sh*t out of him. It made lesnar look exactly how he should, a beast, who when got wounded, became weak and wwe NAILED the story telling in that match. Didnt expect rollins to come out till after the match so that surprised me....big shock factor which made me enjoy it more. Feeling like a boring little kid who's marking out on here but ah well, for all the people i've seen in this thread just be so damn negative towards mania, i dont see it. My favourite in many many years and i cannot wait to watch raw in 5 mins. Hope there's loads out there who loved watching it too!

At first, I was like they made him look weak. He lost earlier, wins the belt in a BS way, and will probably continue to get beat up and look weak. However, I thought about it and was like well it goes with his character. Back in the day, all heels cheated to win every week. Flair would get destroyed by Luger, Sting, Dusty, etc but always retain the belt with help from the Horsemen or whatever. Rollins will likely be booked in the same way. Bryan was booked like that too, yrs back when he was champ.

just watched wrestlemania - entertaining show, some excellent matches.
the only real wtf for me was the sting/hhh match. didn't like when dx appeared, really didn't like when the nwo appeared, and was downright disappointed when sting lost. but overall, the show was excellent i must say. i'm sure others feel differently on here, but i thought it was very well put together.

Enjoyed the first half. The second half was a little lack luster and redundant. WWE has got to stop with every match needs to be a)insanely long b) feature finishers that are irrelevant. Can't there be just one finisher that's actually effective? Or how about a match where neither guy was able to land his finisher? Tired of everybody being able to "hulk up" at Mania.
Match rating
Fatal 4 way - A Battle Royale - B Ladder Match - B Orton/Rollins - B- Sting/HHH - D Entertainment value B+ Divas - C Cena/Rusev - B- Rock segment - D- WTF was the point of that? Undertaker/Wyatt - C Lesnar vs Reigns ... was just starting to get real good and they killed it. - C
Overall, it was entertaining. I think the redundant storytelling and booking kind of holds it back from great.
I give it a B-

What a wild 'Mania. And one of my favorites. Rollins cashing in was gold. Definitely the greatest night of young Gixx's career. There's Rollins' first match ever as a young 17-year-old kid in a little gym, 2003 under the name Gixx. Before we even knew him as Tyler Black. Last night he won the WWE World Heavyweight Title in front of 70,000 people, and millions watching at home. Wrestling's a lot like music - you're making no money or you're making lots. What a story. A lot of the occurrences were bizarre to me. Sting was affiliated with the nWo which never actually happened historically (other than the Wolfpac), and the whole presence of DX and the nWo kind of made the whole thing into a goofy circus...something you'd see in JCW or a place like that. I still liked it, but it was strange. Trip going over was also very unexpected; kind of made Sting look bad, I think. As far as surprising victors, I was also thrown off by Big Show and Orton going over. I figure if they're having Rollins cash in and leave the arena with the strap, at least put him over Orton in some sort of heelish way. And, if they're breaking up Miz and Mizdow, why put Show over in the battle royal? Make Mizdow look good and have him win it. I also wish Wyatt had gone over since 'Taker's already been defeated at WM, and the young guy should have gotten it. Yet, as much as it may sound like I'm complaining about the above finishes, I'm also partially glad they happened. Unexpected finishes are good. I loved Bryan and Cena winning their titles. The Rousey/Rock/Trip/Stephanie segment was also very, very strange, but good. In some ways, it was a 'Mania from the Twilight Zone, and that's why I liked it. Nothing went as I would have expected, and that's good for the biggest show of the year. Slowly, everything else will fall into place. But, most of all, Rollins doing his thing made the show what it was. Bravo.

I don't know if everything went as planned but that was a mess not great storytelling, and I keep seeing people posting it was great symbolic storytelling. That's like saying Peter Griffin's production of The King And I was great storytelling.

Man, if this 'Mania was a 'set up' for next year's 'super show' I am going to be blown away. What a WrestleMania this was. Constantly revisiting it to check matches again. Good stuff.

Some people will just never be happy with the WWE product, and I can understand why people feel the way they do, but in my honest opinion I thought it was a great Wrestlemania, and most definitely in my top 5 ever (I have only seen 14-31 however). Ladder match starting made perfect sense. Ambrose bump was nasty.. very surprised he wrestled again the following night, I thought he would have had some sort of head injury the way he landed. Orton v Rollins was decent, loved the ending with that RKO. I disagree with what others have said though, as soon as Rollins lost I immeadiately thought it wouldn't be the last we saw of him on the night. Sting v HHH was unexpected to say the least. Let us not forget though that Sting is well into his 50s, and HHH isn't getting any younger. They needed something to shake it up a bit and distract from the fact the match place was incredibly slow. If it had just been left to those 2 going at it for 20 mins plus then everyone would have crapped all over it. The whole hand shake at the end didn't make an awful lot of sense though I agree. Divas match was solid, match quality was a lot better than I expected. I recently watched WMXX and the evening gown match that featured there... its come a long way since then! Cena v Rusev was an enjoyable bout even though it was massively predictable what would happen. Taker v Wyatt was slightly ruined for me that it wasnt fully dark at the time which spoiled the entrances a bit. Not a lot they could do there though. I personally am happy Taker won, proves he still has it, and it won't do Wyatt a lot of harm in the long run. Plenty more to come from this guy in the future. Main event was brilliant, I really enjoyed it. They were hitting each other HARD and it really added to the spectacle. I think Reigns gave a good account of himself... yes he got battered for the entirety with little offence, but so did Cena last year. It only makes Lesnar look even stronger, and Reigns look tougher for being able to take it. Brock getting busted looked vicous, I'm seeing rumours flying around he bladed but man, it just looked like he hit that ring post really ing hard! I marked out when Rollins came out, not cus I am a massive Rollins fan but because I am a sucker for shocking and surprising ends to events. I had to go to work straight after finishing the main event and the first thing I did when I got in was watch it again, thats how much I enjoyed it. Overall I throughly enjoyed Mania. The fact that I could watch it for under £10 on the network made it even more enjoyable. Very excited to see what direction it goes in the next few months, and I can safely say now I am seriously considering the trip of a lifetime to Mania 32 next year.

Only just finished Mania. Had an internet blackout since Sunday, so glad I did because of the ending of the main event.
Loved every second. Yeah, some things didn't make sense. But it was a fantastic Mania. Loved it. End match and the ending blew my mind.
