Yea, I'd call them out on this. Did you have insurance?
I had an issue 2 yeard ago with a fish tank hood. When I get hom they were literally thrown at the front door. I assume its because the bunghole didn't want to get wet. This led to a crackrd hood, blown cooling fan, 4 broken H/O t5 light bulbs and wet boxes. I called UPS and they oayed me the insurance of $50. My total loss would have been $300, luckily the company ( Dr.Foster's) accepted the return and used FedEx as a shipper.

get ahold of UPS. as collectibles, them mauling the packages is reason for their insurance. You're entitled to some money that should at least cover your unexpected import fee.

I have never seen worse packages. Just me speculating, but I have a feeling UPS hires a lot of part time dumb ass workers for the holidays.

WTF could they possibly do to the box these were in to make them look like that? Did they sit on them? my sister, used to work at fedex just scanning....but she seen her coworkers do this & be super lazy. around this time, they would just throw boxes in this thing called a "can". she never exactly told me what the "Can" is. but all the boxes go inside when sorting/scanning was done. most of the small boxes get stepped on, cause u cant tell if the can is fully full. employees will use small boxes like this one. step on it, to see if the can was full. if not, they will just move boxes around with blunt object such as push broom. then put more boxes inside, until its completely full.....then they will throw the box that was being stepped on, on the very top. most of the practices was done wrong....such as how heavy boxes suppose to be on the bottom. but she told me, her coworkers was so lazy, they didn't care. and put it on small weak boxes. hell even the box that said "Fragile" was being kicked around.

WTF could they possibly do to the box these were in to make them look like that? Did they sit on them? Being someone who worked at UPS for years before getting injured it could have been a few reasons. 1. This time of year they have a much higher volume and because of it a conveyor belt can get jammed very easily and it could be a few minutes before it is noticed. Thus crushing/tearing many boxes. And if it is a higher up belt the jam can cause the boxes to fall over the side and drop 20-25 feet. 2. Sorter couldn't keep up with the unloader's speed and the boxed jammed and got crushed. 3. Outbound area loaders when building the walls in the outboand trailers put it on the bottom of the wall with heavier boxes on top of it crushing it. 4. Employees could have mis-handled it by kicking or throwing it. (but they are easy to spot because they usually had a footprint or hole in the box the size of a fist) I used to hate having to deliver a package like that because customers would ask what I did to the package. And all I ever did was take it from the shelf of my truck to their door. But because the driver is the one the customer sees they think it's you. lol
