Would absolutely love to get the WCW US title with Goldberg or DDP in jeans with taped up ribs.

I don't want to jump the gun at all but I would love to see a thread poll of a lot of these awesome suggestions on which figure we would really see the WCW classic United States belt. Goldberg and DDP in jeans seems to be two definite frontrunners!

Or don't, because obviously there are reasons we cannot do them.

Or don't, because obviously there are reasons we cannot do them. A clarification of the situation regarding classic WCW titles for figures would be appreciated if possible. This thread seemingly confirms the problem isn't with the rights holders, and now that most classic WWF titles have been made in figure form it seems the right time to do the WCW ones. Especially considering Sting's recent dealings with WWE.

The problem is Mattel doesn't want to (nor need to) spend tooling money on paying for rights to use an accessory. Why do it when they can pick from a myriad of belts that WWE owns, like the cruiserweight belt that the WCW Rey is coming with in E32 instead of paying Dave to use to his? That's the obvious reason. If the "rights holders" want to let them use the belt without payment I'm sure they'd do it. The problem is the money.

Mattel would have to create a new jean mold to make an accurate DDP, since he wore skin right straight legged jeans.

Mattel has NEVER stated the problem is expensive rights or that they "don't want to" make classic WCW belts. And your claim that they "don't need to" is laughable. I get that WWE wanted to prioritize classic WWF belts, but most of those are done now. Time to dig deeper into wrestling history. I get that there is some kind of hold up, but it's certainly not "obvious" what exactly the problem is. If they can feature the belts in the WWE video games I'm sure Mattel can work something out.

Mattel just said "obviously there are reasons we cannot do them." I laid out those obvious reasons. You don't think that's right. So what do you think those obvious reasons are? It's obvious to Mattel and obvious to me . . .
