Just a sort of poll for the group here. I have always come from the school of once you buy it, you leave it in the package. But I started to collect vintage Star Wars figures and can not afford them on the card...so i bought them loose. Now I am torn when I find the first Mattel that I would like to buy...open or not??
How do / did the rest of you decided on what to do??

Leave em in the box it's more fun that way! Up to I like moc collecting but might start buying loose to just have different wrestlers.

Display loose. Less space and you get to have fun posing them

Open regulars but if you want keep flashbacks or something like that MOC. its kinda pointless to keep a random Dolph Ziggler,Orton, Cena MOC since they will rarely increase in price. Maybe if you get a jobber figure(trent baretta, Hurricane,Mike knox) all guys who didn't have more then one, they you might wanna keep them MOC b/c they are valuable now and people who don't get a lot of figures always seem to go up in value.

I'm a 90% open, 10% in the box kinda guy myself. So I say if it's rarer, maybe keep in the box, but if it's not just open it!

Open. They get damaged in the box over time.

Open. They get damaged in the box over time. I wondered if the plastic damaged the figure if it was never open. How true is this? I was told that Zip Lock bags are bad over time as well; for those of us who had them bagged and in storage.

In the box. Elites, particularly, have nice packaging and fun facts about the wrestlers on the back. And autographed MOC Elites look awesome!

You never truly appreciate it if it stays in the box

Toys are toys - meant to be played with by children.

If you play with your wrestling figures, open and enjoy them as the Mattel ones are the best WWE figures I've ever seen and would have killed for the level of quality when I played with them as a child. However, if you're an older collector who doesn't bother playing with the figures anymore, definitely keep them MOC. In my personal opinion, figures look better and last longer when kept in their original packaging. This. When I first started collecting action-figures (over 20 years a go!) I would open them/display them, but still keep the packaging because I liked it. After a few years, I ran out of space to display them and started putting a lot of stuff back in it's package for storage... add to that, as I got older, I really preferred the look of a brand new/unopened figure, so I started collecting MOC - and haven't looked back since. You never truly appreciate it if it stays in the box ...that's a common myth held by loose collectors - it's simply not true though. Toys are toys - meant to be played with by children.Lol - I guess that rules out most of the members here then... And what about all the toys that have "Adult Collector" on them (eg. Mattel's Movie Masters figures)?
