Source: Wrestling Inc www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2013/0720/564263/plans-for-top-nxt-star-halted-indefinitely/Plans for NXT star Kassius Ohno, f.k.a. Chris Hero, to join the main roster have apparently been put on hold. According to a source, the creative team had a storyline to introduce Ohno this summer. People within the company were impressed with his in-ring skills and his promos, and had asked him to improve his physique while creative worked on his introduction. According to trainers at NXT, Ohno seemed reluctant in the weightlifting and gym sessions, although he continued to receive high marks for his overall attitude and the great effort in his daily in-ring sessions. Word got back to Triple H about Ohno dodging gym time, and he was removed from TV tapings. Ohno has missed two tapings in the past few weeks, and there is said to be increased concern about his status with the company. A lot of people are still high on him, but this could prove to be costly for one of the top prospects in WWE's developmental system.

Every single one of those guys is in better shape than Chris Hero. I'm not saying that's hindering his performance, but it doesn't validate your argument. I've even noticed that the guy looks pretty flabby. Again, I'm not holding it against him, but if WWE expects him to be in at least a solid shape I can't blame them. Hopefully he shapes up because he is a great talent.

They should tell Bray Wyatt he needs to look like Ziggler or his push is over.

Ohno just looks like a regular guy who doesn't look very impressive, and is rather bland. Why showcase a regular guy on the prime show? What character does he have that justifies putting him in the limelight? WWE is clearly not all about in-ring ability so don't get all butt hurt about it

If creative was half way decent then they could come up with something for him no matter his physique. It's not like they only know how to write if you have a great body.

Why should it be up to creative, exclusively to create a character for him? Plus if the guy wont even go to the gym when the boss requests it, why keep him around? Sounds to me like the dude doesn't care, so why should I, or anyone else for that matter care for him?

Yeah he doesn't have an overly impressive physique, I remember him being on a show in Australia when he was about the same size and in comparison to the other people on the show he looked normal, whereas even guys like Bryan and Punk do look bigger in comparison to other humans, he really should just get into a bit of shape, for a professional athlete it shouldn't be terribly hard, especially considering the facilities put forward to him.

Yeah, why should it be creative's job to be creative? We don't even know if this story is true. CM Punk was reportedly in the dog house and a few days later he won Money In The Bank (his first or second, I can't remember).

Well hopefully he does end up hitting the gym harder, because I really want to see him make the Main Roster.

Well deserved. If he doesn't get his body in a better shape i would fire him right away. They even got a developmental thingy with a lot of gym space, there are no excuses now.

I don't see what the problem is. He's built like Jake Roberts, who was one of the greats. I like like that we're kind of geting back to the days when not everyone looks like bodybuilders.

Ohno did look a bit mushroomy shaped, but then again that's how he's always been.
As Chris Hero in the t-shirt and Superman jumpsuit was when he was at his worst, I thought when he changed to the trunks and grew the massive beard and all was when he finally looked like WWE would give him an offer, and so they did. If this is real, I hope he does take a liking to the new amenities of the performance center quickly for his own benefit, and not just because he was told to.

This came from a former WWE writer who still has friends in creative. He told the story on his podcast, didn't mention Ohno specificaly but you could tell it was him he was on about.
