It's funny to me because someone posted a "report" a day or two ago about how it was Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins who never hit the gym. This is just dirt sheet BULLcrap.

Well, Hero/Ohno fans better hope his attitude stays solid because right now he has gone from somebody in a prime NXT storyline with Corey Graves and Oliver Grey vs. The Wyatt Family to jerking the curtain teaming with a re-packaged CJ Parker and jobber Jason Jordan losing to guys who barely make NXT TV at a house show. I'm not a Morse Code genius by any stretch but it sounds like someone is getting a message sent...

Agreed. Sounds like dirt sheet bullcrap to me Also, it's not like he has to wear trunks. He could wear something different to cover up if this is truly a problem they have. I think you're missing the point. Although the request to improve his physique may have started this whole thing, his refusal to follow a direct request was probably what got his call up rescinded. I work in customer care for a Fortune 500 company and if I refused to do a task assigned by my boss, I assure you I would be packing up my desk and leaving the office as soon as he could find a reason to let me go.

Ohno can still wrestle better than half the roster. Give him a black vest and some black pants - fourth Shield member. From a creative standpoint, it shouldn't be that hard, so with that being said, something else must be going on. Hell, Corey Graves is most likely the next in line for call-up (Paul Heyman's line to Punk to "Stay Down" was no accident, I'll bet) and Graves is less physically imposing than Ohno.

Are some people here stupid or something? You can't compare Bray Wyatt and Brodus Clay etc to Kassius Ohno. Seriously.

I think WWE wants Hero to gain some muscle and maybe lose a little bit of a stomach he has if he has one, i haven't seen him.

It's the general rule in wrestling that you either have to be REALLY fat or not fat at all. When you land in between you end up like Matt Hardy (who still isn't really fat, he just carries weight very poorly) Hell, even Randy is letting himself go. If that's letting yourself go, then I really need to let myself go

That was the whole Husky gimmick for Bray originally, big ol' bull-looking dude who played division 1 football. I like Ohno, and I like his character, but his overall physique seems pretty sloppy. He's supposed to be a lean, agile knockout artist, but he lack of dedication to the gym may be seen as a lack of dedication to WWE. Hence the reason why he just stopped appearing on NXT TV out of nowhere. A lot of people give Ambrose and Rollins crap for being "skinny indie guys," but they've gotten themselves (moreso Seth) in great shape compared to the indy days. If Ohno would do the same, he may finally get his chance.

The only way hero could get definition is to get on the gas. Some people will never get definition at all no matter what.
Hero isn't really out of shape , he just lacks definition .

Seth has always been ripped, and he's a pretty big crossfit junkie in talking to him. He's never had tons of bulk, but he's always looked in great, athletic, shape. It's similar to Ziggler. You can't be the kind of wrestler those guys are and be 2002 Triple H juiced.
With Ohno, man that's disappointing if true. My problem though, is knowing his limitations in the physique department, why not work around it with a cool attire? Undertaker was never in great shape until he got older, so why not go for some kind of coverage attire. Ohno is one of the most gifted well-rounded workers in modern day wrestling imo. Good in the ring, great on the mic, and he can story tell through both outlets. That's rare because he's pretty much territory talent in 2013. I just think it's really difficult to teach a guy at 33 how to really be a "gym guy." I'm not saying it's impossible by any means, but he's so gifted in the other areas that I would think that supersedes needing to rip him up.
I hope WWE can find some common ground with him. I understand where they are coming from in wanting him to put on some mass and lose some weight around the midsection, and it honestly doesn't seem like it would take more than a couple months of hard work and great eating to get to that spot with Ohno, but I also see a guy in Ohno who has really done everything to deserve to be in a TV spot based on the work he's put in over the last decade. If it was me in Ohno's position, I'd just grit my teeth and put in the gym work. It's a bit of a joke, and kind of unnecessary, but if that's the last thing you need to do to make that leap, then you do it.
Hopefully this is all bullish*t but I can see it being true honestly. Ohno is really the last remaining guy of the Indy wave I'm dying to see be brought up. If we don't get to see him get a shot on the main roster, I will be extremely disappointed.

If he's seriously not willing to hit the gym to achieve his dream, than that's his fault.

IF this is true and he doesn't go to the gym in time or at all expect him to be released. I hope this isn't true.

He can definitely work on his physique. After all, he is a "wrestler".

If this is true, a big if... Honestly, he's a part of the biggest wrestling company in the world. Part of his job, a BIG part of his job, is his image. If the guy can't be ed to go to the gym -- something which a lot of people working in all kind of jobs choose do for themselves alone -- then he doesn't belong there. I honestly don't care about muscle/physique as a fan. Heck I hate everything about the Batista/ Warrior/ Ryback archetype. But if the guys in charge are presenting you with a big opportunity and you can't be bothered to do something as trivial as working out, you don't deserve that spot. There's plenty of guys busting their asses right now who would do anything for that same opportunity.

This doesn't sound accurate. He clearly worked hard to change his physique when he was actually pretty large, so why would he dodge a few more workouts?

I don't see what the problem is. He's built like Jake Roberts, who was one of the greats. I like like that we're kind of geting back to the days when not everyone looks like bodybuilders. Exactly

It's crazy to think that this is an issue for Ohno since he was in amazing shape when he came back from Japan and the Kings had their from 09 through 11. So there's a chance that this is true because he's definitely let go a bit since being signed. If WWE's noticed that, then they could take it as a sign of complacency which isn't the vibe you want to give your employer. He's one of my favorites but he's been in much better shape than now. Just look at all the guys who've been called up. They were all in the best shape of their careers up to that point. WWE needing to push him regardless isn't the point. If he can't at least get himself back to where he was in 09 and 10 when he was traveling the world then there may be a problem with his dedication. 2010 2013
