I agree that Big Show shouldn't of won the title back in 99. David Arquette. The Miz.

Can't believe only 1 person mentioned Khali as WHC. I only read "Least deserving" & his name popped in my head.

The Miz as WWE Champion. What the hell WWE?... Any chance you could elaborate on why you feel he's undeserving? I'd like to hear people's reasoning for it... as you said Miz is no internet darling ... that's all

Really? JBL? I loved his reign. jbl would've been more fitting for an ic champion, imo. shawn michaels defeating bulldog for the european title at one night only to me takes the cake.

Albert as Intercontinental Champion in 2001 when he defeated Kane who was insanely over at the time. Was about to come in and say that. It still annoys me.

since this is the Classic forum lets keep it classic.....IE when the belts actually meant something.
Tag team Champions first then....
1)Men On A Mission 2)The Natural Disasters(never were a team more aptly named) 3)123 Kid & Jannetty 4)123 Kid & Holly 5)the Varsity Club.especially at the expense of the Road Warriors.
why nay of the above got the titles is a friggin a1 mystery to me.
IC champs
1)Chyna...UGH 2)Billy Gunn 3)Dean Douglas 4)Marc Mero(I understood why he got it though) 5)Kerry Von Erich(see Mero) 6)virtually all the 2000-2002 champs except Jericho,RVD,Benoit,Guerrero,Edge,Angle & Regal.
WWF Champs.....not too many I can think of because pre 2002 I understand all the decisions.however after the brand split most of the time one belt was lesser value....so I cant begin to sort that mess out.Khali,Swagger and Mark henry spring straight to mind though.
WCW:
any of Randy savage reigns.the Arquette stuff was just Russo nonsense.you cant describe that as a booking decision.
and on the subject of the Miz.....if he hadn't been totally obliterated/laughed at in every match and segment by Cena he may have worked out.also his big title feuds were Lawler and Morrison.the guy never had a shot.

I disagree with the Macho Man WCW reigns as it was fresh at the time in WCW during 95/96, his later runs did seem a bit pointless though

. sorry man "The One"Billy Gunn gimmick didn't do it for me....... I thought it was a great gimmick, a more down to earth one that was suited for the main event scene (which in late 2000 could have easily done with him). It was less a gimmick and more of a nickname like Bret Hart's "Hitman". They just didn't capitalize on it unfortunately (possibly due to Billy's drug problems). Certainly his performance at Survivor Series when he was the last member of his team and eliminated Eddie and Malenko (and then basically being screwed) it looked like he might have been on the cusp of a real push. In regards to him winning the IC title, it made perfect sense as he was feuding with the Radicalz at the time and they wanted the title off Eddie and on Benoit.

Khali and Miz, easily.
Perhaps Moolah's last Women's title reign.

The Miz as WWE Champion. What the hell WWE?... Any chance you could elaborate on why you feel he's undeserving? I'd like to hear people's reasoning for it... With pleasure. I don't think he deserves it cause it feels (In my opinion) that he only got the title cause he was on TV and such before WWE. And he is kinda bad in the ring (Once again, My opinion) and I think its almost unfair how Daniel Bryan was in the dark match at WrestleMania 27 and Miz was in the main event. Real wrestlers > "Celebrities".

This is a hard thread, but I would have to say guys like Big Show & Khali don't need a belt to get over. Andre never won the WWF Championship and he didn't need it. He was used to put Hogan even further over. Guys like Khali & Big Show should be used the same way. Book them as unstoppable monsters who's manager uses them to beat down the champion.
While I wasn't for Miz winning the WWE title at first. He finally grew on me during this time. Miz might be a "Reality TV" star, but he works harder than most guys in the locker, plus other than Cena is the face of the WWE. He does almost as many appearances as Cena does away from the ring.
Guys like Marc Mero probably only got their championship reigns due to clauses in their contracts. How much to you want to bet that guys like Mero, Jarrett and others were only awarded the belts they won in WWE because of some clause in their contract?
The biggest joke of a championship win was Santino Marella over Umaga, it could have easily been corrected before that show went off the air. Leading more credibility to the "Fan comes out of the crowd and wins the belt" angle.
Slaughter was a great WWE champion, but they could have had him drop the belt when the war was over, which really killed his heat.
Any championship that Vince won was just him stroking his own ego. Ezekiel Jackson, while never getting over, could have been huge but was never given the chance to run with either reign.
The biggest joke though was David Arquette winning the WCW belt. He didn't do anything to help him or WCW.

He didn't do anything to help him or WCW. Actually Andre is a recognized WWF Champion. After winning the title, he sold it to Ted Dibiase which was nullified and the title was vacated. That's why there was a Tournament at WM4.

CM Punk and all the titles he has won. WWE World Heavyweight Title - 2008 WWE Intercontinental Title - 2009 WWE World Tag Team Title - 2008 ^I'm sure you'd agree with those reigns.
