They said they wouldn't make the CM Punk SummerSlam attire because he has never wears it enough, but what about the Macho Man Punk? Punk worn that attire one time on Raw in a tag match and never worn it again and they made him in that attire, so do you think Mattel will make the attire even though they said they wouldnt?

Who knows why Mattel does anything it does?
I remember a while back when they were criticized for lack of Divas and their reasoning was that they don't sell well. Of course, they'd contradict that in another interview where they said the Divas sold really well. They've made excuses for things like not including people because they aren't on TV but then including other people who also weren't on TV. Then they've said the WWE told them they can't do current wrestlers in Flashback/Legends and of course we've seen a couple including Jericho in Entrance Greats.

Quite possibly cause Macho Man sold well and Punk had those tribute tights, so they might have figured it would sell if they put them together. So maybe at some point there will be a 2pack with Hart and Punk in his Hart tribute tights.

I think that we lucked out getting that Punk/Macho Man two pack. At the time, Punk and Macho Man were probably two of their most popular figures. Punk wearing a Macho Man tribute attire was an opportunity for Mattel to release a wildly popular battle pack, and I am glad that they capitalized on it.

Well they probably said that the Divas didn't sell well because in their first year of having the WWE license, most stores such as TRU had a crapload of Mickie James figures rotting on the pegs for most of the summer and the fall.

This was in a very short period of time. I'm talking days. Like one day they said the Diva figures don't sell well so they don't make them and then a few days later they said they sold great. Or the other way around. Still it was within a very short period of time.

I think those Mattel guys just say stuff to say stuff... which is why I don't pay attention to them anymore.

Then they've said the WWE told them they can't do current wrestlers in Flashback/Legends and of course we've seen a couple including Jericho in Entrance Greats. False. They said WWE didn't let them do current wrestlers in the Legends line specifically. From day one, current wrestlers in older styles were in the Entrance Greats and Heritage lines. And from the first Elite series with flashbacks, current wrestlers in older styles (Kane) have been included. We never saw a still-active WWE wrestler in the Legends line (nostalgia act one-offs like Duggan and Sarge aren't active) besides The Rock, and at the time that figure was done, nobody ever thought he'd wrestle again.

I remember making the same comment at the time about Jericho getting a figure even though WWE said no. Maybe it was something else but I do know they were hypocritical with comments they made. But also why would WWE be ok with Jakks making current stars in the Classic line but not Mattel making current guys in the Legends line? Just seems to be another excuse they make not to do stuff.

Nope. Because to make that attire they would need it to be an elite to get all the colors in the paint deco. And seeing he's barely worn it since the event it would probably need to be a tribute 2-Pack for them to consider it...And they said they aren't going to do Elite 2-Packs because the price point would be to high for retailers to be on board with ordering. So unless RSC says to Mattel they want it as their exclusive it's not going to happen.
As for the Undertaker, HBK & Jericho EG's. That has nothing to do with the Legends line. They said they weren't putting modern guys in the actual Legends line.
And with Diva's I didn't see where they said they were selling well now, but if they did it's because they dropped them to 1 per every 2 case figures now instead of 1 or 2 per case like Mickie and Beth were

"Ugh, not this again." But I really hope they make him in this attire. We still need our green Punk as well and his halloween attire.

Being inflexible with the rules seems silly, especially when they bend them and make things like things like basics not in ring gear in the form of the very well selling Superstar Entrances. Those seem to have been pretty popular, which is saying a lot for a Walmart exclusive, which notoriously warm.

In my area the "more current" Classic Superstar pegwaormed. If that was the case in other areas too, maybe Mattel is trying to learn from some of Jakks' mistakes.

I don't see why Mattel won't make it? Because he only wore it once is a lame excuse.

Financially it has to be an Elite or it wouldnt make sense in doing it. Also, with the whole current stars as Legends, Id be interested in seeing when the timeline at the point HBK retired to when his Legends Rockers figure was announced. I always though he was active when they announced it.
