Anyone else feel this way? I pretty much stopped collecting for 2 reason. One was b/c the countless repaints of Cena,Orton, and Rey and the second b/c we get a lot of rereleases in the 2 packs line that were in the basics line. Look at especially the earlier sets.Seems like they released some of the same figure with a different one jst to sell them. Anyone else hate this? I know it won't change b/c Mattel needs to pack a Cena or some popular guy with a not so popuar guy.

I honestly don't think there are that many rereleases... Like all the Punk 2-packs are in like a new attire... Sure, Cena and such are f'ing hard to do something different with. But I honestly don't feel like this really.

No? It's nothing new. It's been happening since the BCA era. What's killing the fun is Mattel's case packing and distribution.

I dont mind it. I really only like to buy 1 to 3 figures from every elite wave anyway so it doesnt bother me that much, wouldnt see myself buying more than that even without those common ones. I buy very few basics, mostly the legend type ones, so it doesnt bother me there either.

I hate that every Cena that used to come out in a color scheme had different shorts and different shoes every time. Now, starting with red and continuing through camo and Green, we get the same f-ing figure over and over:
Cena in Red that were the exact same:
WM XXVII BO2011 Battle Packs 13 Signature Series
Additionally, even though the mold was different, these had the same colored jhorts and shoes
B15 Extreme Rules Target Champions pack BOPPV Elite Cena
Camo John Cena:
B18 B20 Revision Target Champions pack Battle Packs 17 (maybe 18?) Wal-Mart Ringside Battle Playset
Only the 1st run of Basic 20 and Elite 17 were different.
Green Cena:
B24 Battle Packs 19 Wal-Mart box-set Signature Series K-mart Champions
And although it was a different mold B22 Signature Series (spotted at Kohl's)
We never used to get reissued to death like this except with the Best Of line. Making things even a little different makes the millions of Cena figures a little more justifiable, but reissues? Boil it down to trying to make the same money with less output of effort. I hate it, but I'm surprised it didn't happen more.

I'm not gonna let all the Cena's, Reys, and Ortons bother me. They're are plenty of great figs.

I say, if it is a different color attire or something is significantly different about the figure, then it's fine.
What pisses me off more than anything is when I see a figure being released 3 or 4 times in the same color scheme with little to no changes.
Take for example the Sin Cara Basic. He was in BP15, B18, Sig Series and the Superstar Matchups. Granted, 2 figures had the Hunico Masks and the other 2 had the Sin Cara Masks, but it makes me angry when we could be seeing figures of other people getting figures.
plus, how many Cenas in Red did we actually wind up with in the Basic line? 6-9 of them? To me, that's over kill. Even now when they released the one in green, B22 was his first, but now we have B22, B24, BP19, BOPPV Basic & Sig Series.

The only figures that get rereleased (apart from SIG series and best of etc) are Cena and Orton. Most Reys have a different outfit, same for Punk, Kofi, Miz etc. I wouldn't mind more rereleases actually. I'm glad that I don't want every figure from every set. I'd find it harder to keep up if I was trying to afford everything. A Cena or Orton in a basic series always means my wallet gets a break.

No it doesn't bother me especially with Cena. Because except for the 1/1000 belt & baf's I normally don't buy single carded Cena's so if they re-release him in a 2-Pack with someone I do want then it's a new figure for me still.
And honestly besides a few Cena Battle Packs I can only think of a few 2-Pack with re-released figures in it. 1. Brock vs HHH are both re-releases 2. The last BP with Rey & Miz were both re-releases 3. The BP with Henry I think was a re-released Henry 4 & 5. And 2 Orton BP's had re-released Orton's in it. One in black/green & one black/purple. 6. Sin Cara in BP w/ Bryan

Nope it doesn't bother me. This is nothing new. Jakks was doing this since the BCA days. If anything at least Mattel's re-releases are different attires the majority of the time. Sure they have released Cena in green more times than I want to see and Sin Cara in blue but I wouldn't say it's killing the fun.
Buy the ones that you like. If you can't do that then you are killing the fun for yourself.

Latest Kane is another example. His basic and battle pack are identical.

I don't care how many rereleases they want to churn out. I'll just get the figures that i want. I collect elites and they're not too bad with this. And anyway these rereleases help me save some $$.

Basic 22 John Cena Basic 24 John Cena Signature Series John Cena Battle Pack 19 John Cena/Kane
We are starting to have the same problem with the GREEN John Cena that we had with the RED John Cena......there are just too many green John Cena's currently on store shelves at the same time.
Also, a series like Basic 25 can be a real killer for stores because the Randy Orton, Big Show, and Miz figures just don't sell. Once your store sells out of Eve, Lesnar and Otunga....the Orton, Miz and Big Show figures are going to be there for a loooooong time.
