I don't sleep much. Even harder to do when you're lacking a pillow. So last night (technically this morning) about 5 am, I get up out of my bed and make the 12 minute drive, half asleep, to the closest 24 hr walmart.
I decided to stop by the toy aisle cause I hadn't perused the figures in about a month, if not more, so I walk down the aisle and they freshly restocked. Sig Series (mostly Cena and Rey), the Elite series with Del Rio/Taker/Edge and the newest one with Rock/Booker/Boss Man, and a fresh 2 Pk case with the McGuillicutty figure. Had I not happened to look down when I did, I'd have walked out thinking someone already got Hennig/Otunga...but I nabbed it up and left the rest to everyone else. I still want Booker, but Hennig seems more rare/valuable. (I don't feel like posting a pic as proof, I think I've done so enough times, you can just accept this as part of the story)
The shelves were neatly stocked and displayed. I went back about 7 pm this evening and the aisle was ransacked. Figures were strewn about, even in the middle of the aisle, figures, rings, belts, FF figs, were all over the place. All the Bookers, Boss Man's and Edge was gone. ONE Rock was left out of 3...I asked the person who was working the aisle what happened, she was a nice old lady and she said a man had come through about an hour earlier and left real quick, came back with a cart and tore it apart, taking numerous figures.
She said he threw a fit when he didn't find something specific, and actually trashed it even more on purpose, including the other sections like he was looking for hidden ones. She said she didn't know why he was looking for hidden ones, everything was on the shelf or in the back, so I explained to her that some people DO hide figs so they can come back at a later time and get them, for whatever reason. She understood, but she didn't get why he threw a fit. I also told her the set that I had gotten that morning was selling for about 50 bucks online, so that was probably why.
I'm lead to believe, with everything being so fresh, that it was the Hennig 2 pk he was pissed about not getting. Anyways, I helped her clean up a bit, apologized to her that a grown man acted that way and made her job that much more of a pain. I find it incredibly unfortunate that some people act so immature and disrespectful.
Anyone else have anything similar happen?

I always come across this somehow. Just recently I picked up Hunico from a target. Just yesterday I went to another target that apparently stocked a fresh case of b18. I was Hoping to find Kelly Kelly, only to find the typical shelf warmers and the case of b18 cluttered. The basic rings were scattered on the floor, elite figs (e13 rey, show, edge) on the shelf (not pegged), and what was left of b18 were Cena and one Cody Rhodes, with their cards bent and bubbles crushed. Much like your story, I think the previous person was on a rampage to find Kelly Kelly and any other hidden gems.

Awwww that was nice of you to help her clean up. I figured the least I could do was help a 90 year old lady who's section wasn't even normally toys, when a guy was blatantly a douche towards her.

I'm more in surprise a 90-Year Old woman would be working at all. I know health care is bad, but I really hope she isn't that age at all or even lifting boxes of figures let alone driving.
As for this, I have seen this happen and it sucks. I went to the Walmart by my gym today and that two pack you got was the only one gone out of them. Looked like they might've had a few sets of it, but this Walmart seems to be one of those that doesn't always really do too well on some figures, but I was glad to see another end cap of the WMH figures in which I picked up a few Warriors for customs.

McGillicutty/Otunga is selling for 50 bucks online? I passed on 1 a little while ago since I already have it.
It's been extremely hard to get figures around here lately, so I hope someone who really wants that set gets it.

She probably wasn't 90, but she was just a little old white haired lady, ya know? The kind that tends to belong working in jewelry or greeter at the door. Somebody's grandma. Idk that she was really stocking, she was just cleaning up. That's what she was doing in the aisle when I got there was in the process of picking the mess up.

You probably got that old lady in trouble by helping her fix up the shelves. Stores generally frown on non-employees doing that sort of stuff for liability reasons.

I use to be like that guy. Back when Jakks was making classics, if I walked into a TRU/Walmart/Target/KBtoy and I saw a fresh case of figures I wanted I would buy everything I saw that I wanted. I'd get up to 4 of the same guy if I saw him in store. I wouldnt sell it, I just liked having duplicates of guys I liked.

walmart lady in toys said a guy did this with some exclusive avengers set. she said he brought a receipt asking if they had it (he just bought all he could from a different location). lady said he bought two cases worth. NONE were left. craziness.

I hate scalpers I recently found a Bella two pack at Toys R Us as well as the other Rock/Cena and Cara/Bryan pack. So I just got the Bella's and hid it somewhere real good since I work there hoping to buy it later for myself, so no scalper can come by and get it. Same with the Dark Knight Movie Figures took Batman and Bane to the back and hid them next day I come by all the Dark Knight figures are gone and no longer being sold. There selling on ebay for about $30 bucks each. Usually if I don't end up buying a figure I go to the back and I just get it and put back for someone else to buy it.

I used to work at Walmart, I'm well aware of their policies. The fact is, as a gent stated earlier, she probably shouldn't have even been working in that section. I doubt she would have been able to lift the boxes -- I doubt anyone had a problem with me picking a few things up out of the floor. I wasn't there for 10 minutes or anything, doing her job for her, I just cleaned up the floor area where she was having trouble bending too.

But from what I was told, and the destruction that there was, I'm inclined to believe he didn't just happen on a bunch of figs he wanted -- It was nearing Black Friday levels

I have seen that at my Wal-Mart a few years ago, but not with WWE figures - with Hot Wheels. We had one guy come in and see that they had 8 cases on the pallets, and he proceeded to open each one, take the one car he wanted, and literally dump the case out on the floor - then open the next case and did the same thing - to all 8 cases. I got there a few minutes later and the store employee (young male instead of the old lady) was literally shaking with anger at this guy, who was supposedly banned at that store, but I don't know how they can enforce something like that. Regardless, he was a real piece of work.

Hi im new to the forums (not new to collecting) but can someone tell me exactly what a scalper is? I kinda of get it but not fully. In polite terms they are someone who buys the toys to sell for profit, but around here they have turned into magical fat monsters who buy up every action figure in the toys section which is not a Cana, Mysterio or Orton. They do this to spite the collectors and feed their incredible need for hamburgers, pizza rolls and porn. Go to the classifieds on here and notice how many people list rare figures for cost+shipping and wonder which is the kettle and which is the pot.
