If this place is filled with ignorance, then it is filled with ignorant buyers. You just proved our point right there. Most people don't want him. You can call us ignorant. But we fill the market with our desire for more contemporary figures. You JUST admitted that most people on here don't want Magnum TA. That's what we're trying to say! So he isn't worth producing just so you and few of your buddies can have him. We want figures that will sell! If having you call me ignorant is what it takes to get you to realize that, then color me purple. I don't care. P.S. Aren't you the same guy who said the blue and white Sgt Slaughter WAS his iconic look??? You are!! Who's really the ignorant one? Sarge's biggest feud was with the Sheik, he wore blue in their MSG street fight. I find that to be as iconic as it gets. You never said the blue and white was more iconic? I guess I don't know how to read.

There might actually be more legalities in the making of Sarge figures than we know about, and I would estimate that one of the reasons they went with the blue street fight tights have to do with legal entanglements with Hasbro and just who owns the Sgt slaughter likeness and who can make what and how for the character.
And while I don't agree with most of what kevinandrewc has tried to argue, I will point out the fact that the lower attendance for WM VII wasn't because WWE "knew" it wasn't going to go over so well, it was for security reasons. The original plan would have had WM VII outdraw WMIII in live attendance, but because of the problems that Sgt slaughter was having (his family was being threatened because of the turn coat character he was portraying) WWE was unable to hold the event in such a large venue to it becoming a big security risk so they had to change the site.
But to turn the argument back in the other direction, look at some of the other "logic" used in the Papa Shango vs Magnum TA figure argument. It was argued that while Magnum TA did outdraw Shango, at house shows Shango faced Warrior and Warrior outdrew Magnum TA. Fine, but by that same argument, at house shows Magnum TA faced Ric Flair, and Flair outdrew Warrior any day of the week. Therefore, those who came to see Flair saw Magnum TA too.
Magnum TA deserves a Legends figure any way it can get released ASAP. If you don't agree then you need to watch his Starrcade match against Tully Blanchard. If you still don't agree after that then I just don't know why you bother watching wrestling at all.

I guess I don't know how to read. I was speaking for myself and what was inconic to me. To me that was his biggest match ever. Winning the title from Warrior was and handing it to Hogan wasn't iconic at all to me. deadlysnake I know it was for security reasons. Kevin tried to make Mania 7 sound like a huge event when in fact the ppv buyrates stunk and the attendance was hindered because of threats. I argued that more people came out to see Sheik/Slaughter and i still think i'm right.

no zombiesnake.. you are 100% incorrect. havin spent much time with marty jannetty and pat tanaka, i can assure you WM7 was moved due to LOW ticket sales.. vince was beginning a very AWFUL Difficult federal court case / trial due to a steroid scandal and previous workers goin on maury povich type shows runnin their mouth.. the slaughter lie was the perfect "public reason".. not to sway off this magnum topic, nor am i tryin to start a battle!!.. just informing my fellow brother, brother!!
anywho i have a Good feeling we'll get the Magnum TA figure one day, since ANDRE, DDP, are already in production/ scheduled.. just because the previous announced plans said the "6 Legends" in 2012 doesnt mean it cant change or alter... or a rsc exlcusive or something to do with wwe network and all the nwa footage who knows...

That's one of the reasons why DDP deserves the Mattel Action figure treatment. He's the ONLY wrestler to have managed to execute his finishing move more than 50 ways. "Good God" indeed But John Laurinaitis(aka Johnny Ace), yes that John Laurinaitais, is created for inventing it. Maybe he should get a figure as well. Johnny Ace did 'sort of' invented the "Cutter" and he gave the Ace Crusher move to DDP. But, Ace's original version of the move was done with one arm. DDP's was with two arms ( the cravate). When Johnny Ace saw DDP's version the move he quickly switched his version to DDP's two arm Cutter. Page explained it in many of his interviews and in his book. And he explained the difference between the Stone Cold Stunner and his Diamond Cutter. The main reasons he deserves the Mattel Action Figure treatment is the fact he went from AWA manager, to color commentator, to a 35+ year old rookie wrestler for WCW, to a World Champion. Again, nobody executed their finishing move more than DDP and by applying it more than 50 ways. His finishing move is unbelievable. He has all the credentials to be a huge WWE HALL OF FAMER. No wonder some people continue to 'crap' on him. Jealousy is what it is ;D Yes, John Laurinaitais should get a figure.

It certainly was because of ticket sales. WWE however will not acknowledge it outright however if you watch "The True Story of Wrestlemania", one guy gives the typical "it was security reasons" but then slips up and mentions how Mania had only sold 17k tickets at the time...If you have to ask yourself. If they were seriously planning to put 100k in that stadium...at that time, how did they only have 17k tickets sold? Clearly they werent going to make their numbers so it was quickly moved.

Awesome Magnum TA. DDP has no place what so ever to be in a legends line up..especially so early on when theres so many more matty can choose from. The fact of the matter is he was a good mate of Bischoffs who couldnt work at all, couldnt draw a dime and got a push he never deserved. That will be one figure ill not touch with a ten foot barge pole. DDP was a huge draw for WCW...... his mic skills were top notch and he put on a great matches. His charisma was over the top, he had that "it" factor. Its not even possible to say he couldn't draw.

That will be one figure ill not touch with a ten foot barge pole. Wow, you really don't like DDP. Your statement is laughable because it is totally ignorant. It's usually the same old, same old thing every DDP hater says. ;D Know this, Diamond Dallas Page being "friends" with Eric Bischoff has nothing to do with his success in the wrestling business. It's not like in 1997 Eric Bischoff and co. forced thousands of real rabid wrestling fans to throw up that Diamond Cutter hand sign? When people started doing that Diamond hand gesture that was when WCW started to push the talented man. Men, women and children were all doing it. Those video WCW archives don't lie. If you don't you understand? DDP worked hard to be a TOP GUY in the WORLD OF WRESTLING because he started off as a manager for the AWA, to a color commentator, to a 35-year-old rookie wrestler for WCW, to PWI's Most Improved Wrestler of the Year, to a World Champion. It's not like WCW awarded him with World championships the first day stepped into the squared-circle. 7+ years, it took him 7+ years to achieve the World Heavyweight Championship. He worked hard to be a main event guy. DDP really was a good draw for WCW, you seriously can't question or lie about that fact. He really was talented, he had tons of charisma, great Heel ring psychology, fantastic mic skills and great ring skills. Just look at his work from 1997 to 1998, especially his PWI Feud of the Year with Macho Man. You say he couldn't work? He had great matches with Henning, Savage, Raven, Beniot, Eddie and Chavo Guerrero, Bret Hart, Big Show, Flair etc. He even gave Sting and Goldberg their best matches in the late 90's. Yes, those are some of the many reasons why DDP absolutely deserves a WWE Mattel action figure. So why hate? Is it because he was married to one of the most beautiful women in the world, Kimberly Page? It's true what DDP says: "They love me, they hate me, they'll never forget me..." DDP was super over in 1998. Just look at those crowds in the video...

If they change anything I hope Bill gives him the small red knee pads like the L6 Kevin Von Erich's instead of the black leg sleeves.
