My lady friend has been suggesting I watch Trick R Treat for months now, and I finally watched it last night. Have to say I heavily enjoyed it. The Sam character is really interesting and I'd like to see more of him. Very Undertated Movie, I try & watch it every Halloween.

Two of my favorite horror movies are Scream and I know what you did last summer. I love the mystery murder type genres they have. What are some other movies like those you guys recommend?

Argento and Mario Bava are the kings of murder/mystery/slasher flicks. Kill, Baby Kill! Twitch of the Death Nerve (aka Bay of Blood) Blood and Black Lace Deep Red Tenebre I also like Prom Night, Black Christmas and Alice Sweet Alice.

I have Deep Red on an old VHS somewhere and have never watched it. I feel like I need to change that.

I was just telling my kids about Monster Squad! My 5 year old watched The Goonies for the first time last night, and I was telling them about how I always preferred Monster Squad. I'm just not sure if they're too little for it still.

Rob Zombie's Halloweenw as a very interesting film. I actually enjoyed the entire thing, with the last half being the best part, of course.
Halloween II I think is a very underrated movie. Yup...underrated. I think most people spent too much time comparing it to what we feel a Halloween movie should be, but if you step back and view it as something totally different, it's actually a very interesting and enjoyable movie.

Started my Halloween horror watching with Chernobyl Diaries. What a huge disappointment that was!

Followed up Chernobyl Diaries with In Their Skin. Not a bad movie, but I preferred it the first time around when it was Funny Games.
Last night I watched Gone, with Amanda Seyfried. Not sure why I thought it was a horror movie going in, but I really hated it.
For some reason, I've really been wanting to watch High Tension again lately.

I dont know about you guys but I am seriously amped for Curse of Chucky. Its been getting largely positive reviews and takes a more serious approach than most of the sequels. Chucky vs. A paraplegic girl? Sounds like a fair fight.

I watched The Lords of Salem tonight. I'm not sure if it was an amazing movie or just ok. It ends kind of suddenly, and just left me sitting there like, "uhhhhhh....." but the imagery and over all feel of the movie is great.

Hey guys I am reaching out to the community for help. I was recently lucky enough to be a part of The Dooms Chapel Horror....But now they need a little extra humph to get the last bit done and that's where you all come in.
So check it out and share this with everyone you know and have them share it. Even if its just a buck it a buck to help someones dream come true! I truly believe in this movie. Stars the Facebook Creeper from Takethislollipop.com, and Abraham Lincoln from Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies, Mr. Bill Oberst Jr.Check it out please.

I'm helping to organize a horror fest at the local theatre today. It's a very small theater that only sits 50 people, but I come from a town of 3000, so it's better than nothing. At 6 pm on Friday nights and 1pm on Saturdays they're going to show more family friendly movies, with the real horror coming at 9pm on Fridays. Here's the line up:
04 Oct Labyrinth 6PM 04 Oct Friday The 13th (original) 9PM 05 Oct Spooky Buddies 1PM 11 Oct Corpse Bride 6PM 11 Oct Scream 9PM 12 Oct Scooby Doo (live action) 1PM 18 Oct Something Wicked This Way Comes 6PM 18 Oct Nightmare On Elm Street 9PM 19 Oct Critters 1PM 25 Oct Ghostbusters 6PM 25 Oct Halloween (1978) 9PM 26 Oct Beetlejuice 1PM 31 Oct SPECIAL: Rocky Horror Picture Show 9PM
Soooo stoked for this! I was going to contact the owner about it earlier, but decided not to, then I ended up chatting with him and suggested it. He put it all together really quickly, but it's going to be amazing!

Watched Jason Lives last night. It's probably been about 10 years since I last saw it. It clearly takes a more tongue in cheek direction, but I don't know how much of it was intentional. Even Harry Manfredini's score was comically composed. "Wherever the red dot goes, ya bang!" Good stuff!

Had an amazing time at scarefest today, got my original Texas chainsaw massacre 3 poster autographed by both RA Mihailoff and Ken Foree so can't want to get that framed. Got good pictures of Kane Hodder, Danielle Harris, Malcom McDowell, Tom Morga, Ted White, the ghost hunters guys and Zack Bagans from Ghost Adventures, but no autographs from them..
