First off, I consider you guys like family, so please, no nasty remarks, as i get somewhat emotional on this. I've mentioned this before, but, I'm Autistic. Now, my social skills are AMAZING, and I function VERY well, for a special-ed student in a mainstream school. What do you guys think? Does it make me different than anyone else on this planet? Also, I forgot to mention. In addition to my Autism, I'm also physically disabled. I brain hemorrhage I suffered on the left side of my brain affected, my ENTIRE right side, hand, arm, leg, and foot. God, now that I think of it, "cripple" comes to mind. What is your guys opinion of having an Autistic AND physically disabled WF Member?

No, not at all. Be proud of yourself, you find the courage to be yourself everyday, which is more than most people can say who DON'T have a disability.

I think a lot has to do with your age. Don't let anyone discourage you because you're too good for them.

Yes it does make you different from everyone else. We are all different in our own way. Thats the good thing. Contrast and variety makes life interesting. You are your own person, and thats a good thing. Everyone is better in some areas than others, so you are just like 'everyone else' in that aspect. As role model said, be proud of who you are.

You're "different" in the same way that everyone else is different.

My late best friend's little brother is autistic, and he's my favorite kid in the world.
Not that that has anything to do with this conversation, I just thought I'd share.

Personal note: Dad, you ed up, BIG TIME.

Of course not. Everyone has something about them that makes them different. I, for instance am losing my hearing, have diverticulitis and am slightly agoraphobic at times.

I don't remember where, but I remember reading once a statistic that said that a large portion of adults lie somewhere on the autism/asperger's spectrum, going largely undiagnosed.

Guys, I said once already, & I'll say it again: thank you. This means alot to me. And if you're wondering about my "Dad, you ed up" comment, he's VERY abusive. I've endured name-calling (intellectually- disabled person, stupid , dumb , etc.), he's blasted my girlfriend about her anatomy, (you can guess where), he's verbally assaulted our family, and we're now living in MN, so everything's good. But, seriously guys, thank you SO MUCH.

Yes it does...
But there's nobody on this earth that is alike...we're all different. Nothing's wrong with that.

StoneCold, I have asperger's syndrome. Basically, aspergers is a form of Autism and it means you just have trouble with relationships. I don't let that affect my life. I don't have the biggest group of friends or go to party every Friday night. But I live my life the best I can and every day is a gift. I wish I was a popular person that had plenty of friends and all that but I could be worse off like in a wheelchair, etc.

And yes, my dad's a piece of crap, but for me, that don't cut it. 500 times worse. But, triplehfan85, you're right. Don't let it affect your life, bro. Hell, my girlfriend, who will remain anonymous, has supported me in EVERYTHING I do. She's my inspiration. Babe, I Love You. As far as the popularity goes, I'm mediocre, but don't let it drag ya down, man. People who insult you are careless. Just ignore them.
