Well there is another thread about this figure... And I've heard about this fig for some years... is it a rumour... is it real etc... Well I've just won a auction for one on Ebay and it seems legit. As the auction is no longer live here is the link: cgi.EBAY LINK NOT ALLOWED.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180420186234 I will post pics here on this board when I receive it... What's everyone's thoughts

Looks better than the other one that was posted, but I'm still not sold. Bubble looks suspicious to the left side of the photo. I would need to see a better shot there to have a better idea.

I'm looking forward to seeing pics when your figure arrives. Strange that there several of these "yellow" snakes out there

Yeah Thats what I'm thinking too. I will post up here a ton of detailed piccys when the figure arrives ! I emailed the seller a bunch of times before the auction ended asking weather or not the fig is sealed/ or customed etc... and they assured me it has not been tampered with and is fully sealed ! I'm glad I asked because at least if when the fig does reach me and it turns out to be a re-seal then i would be able to get a refund through paypal (under the grounds of item not as described etc). But to be honest I am very confident this is the real deal. I have heard about this figure for many years, the first time I saw a jake with this colour snake was way back when I was a kid and my friend at school brought in a bunch of hasbros he bought on a family holiday to mexico. We joked how his snake for his jake figure got a sun tan on holiday, it being real yellow ! LOL.

Yeah they were selling around 70% of the entire WWF Hasbro line MOC. I'm not sure what the others went for as I was only watching/interested in the 2 MOC Jake figures. I'm sure if you search completed listings on ebay you can find out how much the other figs went for. ;D

Please post detailed pics as soon as you get it in your hands...and if you can, could you please post me here or at my email address some closer pics of the yellow snake? Could you please let me know if the snake is with open or close mouth? Many many thanks....

Yeah £41 i paid. If it is genuine then I think I've got myself a massive massive steal. ;D I did a bit of research on this fig today... spent about 2 hours searching google and various sites... I did discover that one of these figs was sold over a year ago for $500 (us dollars !). Has anyone ever heard about this ? and who bought it ? also found out that there was believed to be only a small run of these Jake figures with the yellow snake and there are only ever reports of this figure showing up on Spanish cards. Makes me wonder how many of these figures exist... Their can't be many right ? I mean I have been collecting Hasbros off and on for since the early nineties (when they were on the pegs). I've always heard rumours of this fig over the years and as i said in a earlier post I remember my friend (when we were kids) had a yellow snake with his jake fig... never seen a carded one... so i really can't wait for it to arrive. Question for everyone.... How much do you think this figure is worth ? (if of course it is legit). And if it does turn out to be the real deal then surely it has to be 2nd in line (to kamala moon) as the rarest moc right Really would appreciate everyones input. and of course when its in my hands I will flood this page with lots of detailed pics

In my opinion, sadly, no. It's a foregin figure kind of like Funskools where different colored paints and accessories were made. If it was an unreleased Hasbro sample figure, then it would be a whole new ballgame. It will still be a cool and scarce piece to own though.

I would def put it in a higher league than the funskool figs. I mean there are a fair few of those around right ? How many MOC Jake Roberts do you know of/seen with a yellow snake ? for example Summer slam Dusty MOC fetches a high value $200ish... and that is def more common by far than a MOC Yellow snake Jake. I really do think (if this turns out to be legit) It is allot rarer than anything else apart from the Moon Kamala... What else is rarer ?

I guess once we see if this is still sealed and legit, how many carded ones will show up on ebay. hmm, how about this? Please don't get me wrong, I'll most likely want to get a Jake w/yellow snake to add to my carded collection, but I don't see it being a grail. Dusty w/yellow boots MOC, now that's a different story.

I'm going to have to disagree with both of you and say that the Sgt. Slaughter 'No name' carded figure is more rare than both Jake the Snake and the Bret Hart figure posted. Why is that? Because it's actually been acknowledged by a credible (and printed) source that it's a known variant. A lot of figures produced for foreign consumers used cheaper paints that fade over time. Some didn't even have the correct colors in the first place, examples being the Jake Roberts and countless Funskool toys.
Don't get me wrong, color variants are cool but that doesn't necessarily mean it's an official variant. Even the Kamala 'moon on belly' doesn't have a credible source though when I did sell mine many years ago, I had a COA from a collector whose brother worked for Hasbro. I'd like to know if that person posts here...I still have his email, so maybe he can chime in on here.

Would be interesting to see if the Jake is legit though, i'm skeptical though

Is that a legit variation of bret #2 or just an error figure? I always wondered about that figure because I know its different but you never even see them loose like that, so I didn't know what to think of it.
