So you are now selling Warrior prototype number 600 Brian? hehe It seems that there were more prototypes made of this figure than the actual production figure itself..... or of course you are just making new versions of the figure and selling them on fraudulently. Either way, your silence is deafening. This is uncalled for! First you dig up an old post (AGAINST THE RULES!) Second you act like a spoiled little kid (which you probably are!) Third; it's the 3rd or 4th prototype and as Judge said; legit since he knew this! So, Tibbo, you made quite an ass of yourself!

It doesn't anoy me that he has listed this one as he clearly states that this is his last. I think we'd all be asking about how many more he has if it didn't state this (including the previous purchasers). I don't blame him for not stating how many he owned, it makes business sense not to list in the first auction that he has 3 of them as it would've never reached such a high price. He did state that there were a number of prototypes made for each figure so its not hard to believe these are all genuine. The post was bound to be dug up with this listing being made.

Hmmm, Here's the deal, I'm just a guy who, decided to go to school as an Architectural/ Industrial Model maker. I graduated in 1982 figuring "Hey, I'll work on Nukes and make a bundle".
At that time since there was no 3d cad, all designs for piping were proven out with scale models. Then upon graduation the entire Nuclear industry took a power dump. Perfect. So now it was find a job in displays, architectural models, automotive interiors or consumer products. I choose architectural models. I worked in that for a year and a half and decided to try the consumer end of the prototype business. Toys specifically. Now a company called Hasbro was just turning around under the leadership of Steven Hassenfeld. Hasbro was hiring in Pawtucket and I was in Woburn, Ma. A "short" move down the road. I write this little preamble to say this, I have been fortunate in my career to make interesting and unique items. I have a personality that tends to hoard items that I think would be interesting to other modelmakers or collectors. I dug stuff out of the dumpster, purchase items from the employee toy store or received items in the toy test program. I figured "Hey this will be worth money some day or I can use it for barter and trade".
I never thought the wrestlers would be a collectible, I kept them because the Hand Painters did such a nice job on them.
So here we are, I'm selling the last wrestler I have. It's an Ultimate Warrior. I'm auctioning it. I'm getting rid of it, I'm getting it out of my house along with all the other assorted nonsense.
If someone thinks I or any other modelmaker would produce a "knock off" that was the same quality we built them to at Hasbro and sell it for just a couple hundred bucks they're goofy. It would be like counterfeiting nickels, It would cost you a quarter each to produce. A money loser and a waste of time.
Geesch.
So will I have more auctions? Yes. I've got the original wood pattern for the Bucky O'Hare toad croaker as well as the GI Joe Sky Stryker pattern and first shots. Some Plaskool and Hasbro Preschool items new in the box. Assorted GI Joe figures off the card and laying in the bottom of the box
Of Wrestling stuff? I doubt it. As of this writing I'm feeling crabby.
I wrote in a previous post, "do your due diligence". Check out the Provenance A term that refers to an object's path through time, its "life experience," including who owned it, when, where and for how long-all of which, if known and verified, often adds significant value to an antique or collectible.
If you have first hand knowledge of shady dealings, air them along with any background you may have, but please don't disparage things you have little or no knowledge or proof.
It serves no good purpose to any of the parties involved.

It's tough to believe that 4 Warrior protos were in the hands of one person and in that nice condition. The above statement does make sense to me though. I am disappointed that we learned very little or anything about the Hasbro line from badgerboy. Badgerboy, I do thank you for sharing your past in regards to toy making, but hoped, like many others here that you could shed some light on the WWF line. Oh well, maybe we'll get the inside scoop from another hasbro employee in the future.

Oh well, maybe we'll get the inside scoop from another hasbro employee in the future. What is so hard to believe? It's very common knowledge that there were 12-24 hand painted samples of each figure created for various magazine photo shoots, trade shows, etc. You are all asking nuances about a toy line that went out of production 15 years ago now. 15 years. And you are asking someone who worked on the production side, not the development side. He told us exactly what he did at Hasbro, to a T, and gave us photos. Why would you expect him to know anything about which figures were originally scheduled to be produced or which figures were slated for the "orange" line if he would have absolutely no knowledge of that. None. Zilch. Nada. He did not work on that side of the line. You know who would have known about that? Research and development, the WWF's marketing, and maybe Hasbro marketing. Why would someone on his side of the fence know anything about the line like the questions you are asking? And it's easy to be disappointed, but this is just a guy, by his own accord, did a job, kept some things from the job, and described his entire end of the process. That would be like me working at my current job at the university where I am at and being asked a question as to why we didn't select someone for an assistant dean role while I was there. While I am at the university, yes, I am there employee, and I may even get some fancy pens from the assistant dean's office every once in a while, I might even be good friends with the assistant dean, but by no means does that mean I have any idea why they were chosen or the decision making process that led them there. You all need to take a step back and stop slandering this man.

lets just remember that there are only a few on here who are actually ''slandering'' this man, the majority of us have thanked him for his inside knowledge and info.

The s*** has hit the fan. this topic is spiraling completely out of control. Its time to put it to rest. bottom line, if there is something that someone wants, the person will bid accordingly, regardless of its legitimacy or not. And i am a believer and have been one of badgerboys biggest supporters. I DARE ANY FIGURE MAKER to make a Hasbro prototype figure FROM SCRATCH. I will put money into the pot to see it happen. if tha happens then i will have my doubts. Until then, its 100% real! Rock on badgerboy, i wish you had an unlimited supply of these things! i would still bid hard and overpay. BK
