Judge, you got a bargain on the first figure matey! I wonder how much these would have gone for if they hadn't been advertised on the board originally Someone might have got a nice bargain!

So do I.. That's why no live auctions are posted on here. This was basically the same without the link. Probably doubled the price easily. Hopefully lessons are learnt. Anyway, again fair play to the main man

That is a good argument.... It is a tough one really.
I love sharing/discussing these figures, but if it means someone ends up loosing out on a figure they really want, or has to pay hundreds of dollars more due to the advertising, then i guess that really sucks!
It becomes less of an enjoyable passtime, and more a case of who has the most money.

IMO, i'd rather have the figs go to the right collector, instead of the figures going unnoticed and for a low price. It doesn't help the buyers per say, but it helps the hobby in general and help keeps everything fresh. PLUS, when those kinds of things go for those types of prices, it opens the opportunities for more prototype holders who are looking to sell. Whoever they may be, collectors, MORE Ex-employees, people who are waiting for the market to peak. People are watching ebay and reading these boards, they may not be members and they may not even post. Now, who knows what will happen. Im still waiting for the HBK proto. and im ready to place that bid if and when if ever surfaces! bk
Some may call it a mistake, yes i posted his ebay id, but what do we have now?? Two Hasbro employees joined this board within the last 2 weeks. After almost 20 years!! And now Hasbro's are THE MOST popular wrestling figures of ALL time!! They may not hit prices of some LJN's but they are far more popular. More popular than Jakks and Marvel, who make figure NOW. Hasbro's are being collected with more PASSION and funds than any other wrestling figure on the planet. now i dont know much about other toys, but i doubt WWF Hasbro's aren't far behind the original GI Joes, Star Wars, Barbie. AMAZING! and we are living in AMAZING times.
