The last edition of ECW was a great show like always. The opening segment was pretty nice, I like the return of the ECW Elimination Chamber. The first Elimination Chamber Qualification match was pretty good, nothing great though. I liked the back and forth action, with the finish being excellent. Not too happy that Masters picked up the win, but I think it's time to stop trying to push Dreamer. Snitsky/Mahoney match was just a normal squash match, but it was very realistic. I liked how Mahoney got some momentum, and then only to get a Big Boot. Glad Snitsky won as I can't stand Balls. Rhodes/Greiner was one of my favorite matches of the night. Nothing much to comment on, though, except the finish was pulled off great. The feud between Kelly Kelly and Maryse will be ok, but I just can't stand Maryse. The main event match was amazing, and the detail was tremendous. However, it was a little hard to follow. But oh well, still a good match. Glad Sabu picked up the win. The Elimination Chamber should be insane. Overall, a solid show, keep it up.

Feedback for ECW:
Opening promo was great, I actually like ECW not being involved in the draft but hope it's a one time thing. It'd be fantastic to see someone like Rey Mysterio get traded though for someone, just to give ECW some more star power. The Elimination Chamber announcement was cool, I somewhat expect Elijah Burke to steal his partners (Cor Von's) title in that match.
Opening match was alright, unlike most, I really liked Chris Masters and really wished he would expand on his move set. Happy to see him in the Chamber but I can't see him winning it. Hope he takes part in a cool spot though.
Nice to see the Kevin Thorn antics continue, I wonder what will come of it. Hope another vampire joins him to be honest, say... Gengral? I doubt Gengral could work a decent match nowdays though. still, Push Thorn please.
Poor Balls Mahoney being in the dog house, but still, you're pushing Snitsky, which isn't the greatest of things but could only be expected because of his size. The pairing with Brooke is kinda odd. Something different though.
Decent Punk/RVD interview. Hope RVD pulls of a Frog Splash from the top of the chamber, even if he misses and that results in him getting pinned.
Yay for the Slyvan push continuing. Nice to see him getting the win over Cody Rhodes, and the diva feud continuing between Kelly Kelly and Maryse. I can see Slyvan getting a ECW Championship push once a face wins the title.
Main Event was great, happy that Sabu won so that some Original talent is in the Elimination Chamber. The finish was nice, with Cor Von accidently hitting the Pounce on Elijah Burke, and the six man brawl after the bell. I can either see Cor Von retaining, Elijah Burke stealing or Rob Van Dam winning the ECW championship at the chamber.

EC will be good. Cor Von retaining would really cement him as a top heel and a credible champion. I hope Thorn gets a push when he returns.

The ECW Elimination Chamber is a nice idea, but I dont see ECW as having the star power for a big match, especially at this point in time. Masters being involved is cool, and I like that Sabu is going to be involved as well, although I would have liked to have seen who Burke had in mind for the match. Good to see Grenier getting the win, as well as Rhodes being featuring in ECW.

(June 19th, 2007) Chris Masters vs. Rob Van DamThe show started off with a bang as two of ECW’s top stars battled it out before they would be in the same ring this coming Sunday in the Elimination Chamber match. RVD started out with quick strikes, but Masters began to use his power to dominate RVD. Masters brought out various suplexes, which Tazz made reference to. Masters even gave RVD a huge German suplex that caused RVD to flip in made air, which caused him to land on his stomach. Masters was going to put on the Masterlock, but got a kick in the head for it. RVD then continued his momentum by hitting the rolling thunder. RVD then motioned that he was going to go up to the top rope. Elijah Burke and Marcus Cor Von came to ringside, and RVD jumped off of the ropes onto them on the outside. They began brawling as the referee threw out the match. Winner: No ContestThey put RVD back in the ring as a 3-on-1 beat down ensued. Punk and Sabu came down to even up the odds, as the faces yet again cleared out the heels. Matt Striker then came out with a frustrated look on his face. He said he is tired of the same six-man brawls every week. Striker said that in tonight’s main event, it would be an Elimination Chamber preview. He booked The New Breed & Chris Masters against RVD, Sabu, and CM Punk in tonight’s main event. Striker then told them to turn their attention to the titan tron. A video package of the Elimination Chamber match itself was shown right before the commercial break. Steven Richards vs. Tommy DreamerThis was a short match that could be seen as filler between the two ECW Originals. Dreamer went for the Dreamer Driver, but Richards slipped out of it. He then planted Dreamer with the Stevie Kick. Richards went for the cover, but Dreamer got his foot to the ropes. Richards picked Dreamer up, but Dreamer caught him with a small package. The referee counted, but Richards got out just in time. Dreamer capitalized by grabbing Richards and planting him with a double-arm DDT. Dreamer went for the cover, and got the win. Winner: Tommy DreamerAfter the match, Dreamer pointed to Richards, nodding in respect. Suddenly, the lights went out again with Kevin Thorn’s music playing. Flashes of red were shown again, and then about ten seconds later, the lights came back on and the music stopped. The two wrestlers in the ring, as well as the announcers were left searching for answers. Snitsky and Brooke were awkwardly and oddly standing together backstage. Snitsky told her that pain was his pleasure, and Brooke nodded that she already knew. Brooke says she thinks they look great together, and that the sky is the limit. Snitsky grinned showing his yellow teeth, as Brooke moved her tongue in a sexual gesture. Cody Rhodes & Kelly Kelly vs. Maryse & Sylvan GrenierThe two men worked the bulk of the match, until Cody tagged in Kelly. Grenier was refusing to get out at first, and then got a slap from Kelly. Maryse just went in the ring herself, and the two divas went at it. Although Kelly was on top at first, Maryse began to get the better end. Maryse whipped Kelly into the corner, and then got into a verbal argument with the referee. During this time, Sylvan grabbed Kelly’s hair, which hurt her. This caused Cody to go to Grenier’s corner and knock him off. Cody then followed him to the outside, as the two divas continued to fight. Grenier smashed Cody’s head into the ring post. When Kelly ran into the ropes, Grenier tripped her. Maryse then took advantage by rolling up Kelly for the win. Winners: Maryse & Sylvan GrenierCody and Grenier continued to brawl outside after the match. It got so bad that referees had to separate the two. Maryse and Kelly continued to shout at each other after the match as well. Elijah Burke and Marcus Cor Von were shown talking backstage. Cor Von was saying how he should not have to go into the Elimination Chamber, but will. Cor Von then asked Burke who he would have chosen to be in the match had he defeated Sabu last week. Burke starting laughing and said he would’ve chosen someone like Nunzio who would easily be defeated. The two teammates then shared a brief chuckle. But on a serious note, Burke said that no matter what, The New Breed will leave with the ECW Title at Vengeance. Cor Von paused, and then asked what he meant by “The New Breed”, and not specifically him. Burke said not to worry about it, and then lead the way as they headed to the ring for their match. Chris Masters, Elijah Burke, & Marcus Cor Von (ECW Champion) vs. CM Punk, Rob Van Dam, & SabuCor Von and RVD ended up starting out the action, picking up from their One Night Stand match. Masters and Sabu were in the ring after, and Masters began to pound on Sabu. Burke eventually came into the ring, as the three heels continued to tag in and out. Sabu got near the corner of the faces, but Burke spat at Punk. Punk charged into the ring, as the referee held him back. Masters then walked right in, and him and Burke pretended to tag. Masters worked on Sabu for another minute until they clotheslined each other at the same time. Sabu crawled to his corner, as Masters followed him. Sabu was about to tag, but Masters punched RVD. RVD just went into the ring and ignored the official’s order. All six men found their way into the ring as the referee just let the action spill. Punk knocked Burke out of the ring, and then went after him. RVD went to the top for a cross body, but Cor Von caught him and planted him with an Alpha Bomb. Cor Von then took a cheap shot at Sabu, which allowed Masters to grab Sabu. Masters tried to apply the Masterlock, and got it in. The announcers mentioned that for the past two years, the move has only been broken without interference once. Sabu was trying to power out of it, but was having trouble. At the same time, Masters was having trouble to get Sabu to tap out. Cor Von then decided to run to the ropes. He came back, and ending up Pouncing Sabu and Masters at the same time, which sent them both down. Cor Von went to make the cover on Sabu. Even though Cor Von was not the legal man, the referee counted, and Cor Von got the three count. Winners: Chris Masters, Elijah Burke, & Marcus Cor VonCor Von and Burke seemed proud of their victory after the match. On the other hand, Masters was fuming at what happened as they started arguing. Punk and RVD even got into it. All six men were arguing, and then stopped. Cor Von put the title belt in the middle of the ring. It turned serious as all six men exchanged looks with each other. Joey Styles plugged the Elimination Chamber match as the show went off the air.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter Notes
I’m hearing that there is still no word as to who will walk out with the ECW Title this Sunday. It seems as if anyone is pretty much an option at this point. I would pinpoint Masters and Sabu as least likely to walk out with the belt, but anything can happen. After all, Bobby Lashley was victorious in the last one.
CM Punk had a minor injury this past week at house shows which was why he barely wrestled on TV. He is good to go for Sunday.
Expect advancement in the Kevin Thorn saga in the next week or two.
Sylvan Grenier vs. Cody Rhodes has been added for ECW on Sci-Fi next week according to WWE.Com.

Sorry for missing out on the last two shows but was too busy. Both were good and I am glad you have decided to use the Extreme Elimination Chamber at Vengeance.
This last ECW was good. Opening match was good and although I was rooting for RVD I like that it ended in a No Contest. Liked the post-match beating and Punk/Sabu making the save. Six man tag match sounds like a good main event.
Good filler match but wished Richards got the win. I am liking this red glow thing after some matches. I cant wait to see what Kevin Thorn has in store for ECW.
Snitsky & Brooke is very creepy but interesting. I am guessing Brooke is using him for something but I don't know what. Hope she doesn't kiss him though.
Good win for Grenier and Maryse. Still waiting for Rhodes heel turn hopefully that will happen soon maybe Ted DiBiase can debut soon.
Like the New Breed conflict and look forward to their interaction during the Elimination Chamber. I can see Burke taking advantage of him.
The main event was good. I liked Cor Von hitting the Pounce on Sabu & Masters. It looks like everyone can't wait to get their hands on each other which is good. I am hoping Burke wins the Chamber but my guess is either Cor Von retains or RVD becomes champion. I think whatever happens should be good just make sure Masters does not walk out champion and instead is the first to be eliminated.
This diary is still going well and one of the best ECW Diaries I have read since Fury's ECW. I hope this continues for a long time and I look forward to Vengeance.

I enjoyed the opening contest, seemed to me like a solid contest and Marcos Cor Von's interference, costing both men into being a no contest is a sound idea. I always like the idea of having a six-man tag team match for the main event, very nice. Tommy Dreamer beating Stevie Richards is a good idea, seemed like a decent match too. I hope you give Richards a little push in the near future, maybe eventually you could denote ECW guys being on SmackDown what with the Brand Exchange stipulation coming up in the Fall/Winter? I'm loving that Cody Rhodes is the jobber on ECW. I believe you need to put Sylvan Grenier and Maryse up the card a bit though. Great main event but I'd be a little more interested if RVD, Sabu and CM Punk had won, but nontheless it seemed like a solid main event. My favourite storyline going on here at the minute is Snitsky/Brooke.

Time for me to reply on this again. I'll just give an overall comment that the past shows have been great as usual and loving the storylines going on. Onto the last ECW show...
The opening contest was well done, especially with the ending being a no contest due to Burke and Cor Von interfering. The after-brawl was good with Matt Striker coming out and saying his piece. Huge Main Event!
You said it yourself, Stevie Richards vs. Tommy Dreamer was pretty much a filler but with a nice touch at the end which I liked. The Kevin Thorn theme segment was cool, looking forward to seeing what you do with Thorn. I hope he gets a bit of a push when he returns on screen.
The Snitsky/Brooke segments just keep me laughing, lol.
Cody Rhodes on ECW was a great idea, imo and to have him team with Kelly Kelly to take on your best inter-gender team is great. Hopefully it continues and I see that it could with your Wrestling Observer Newsletter update.
The 'New Breed' segment was good if I can call it that, lol. The fact that Burke still thinks they are a team and that HE holds the ECW title aswell as Cor Von is good, it shows his controlling personality, which leads into the Main Event.
Chris Masters and Rob Van Dam in yet another match would be a bit odd but it was announced earlier in the night. It seemed like a decent Main Event and I liked the outcome of Burke, Cor Von and Masters winning.
The final segment was intense with the stare-down between the Elimination Chamber competitors. Can't wait for Vengeance.

Feedback for ECW:
No promo this week but I guess one isn't needed as the only match for Vengence on the ECW side of things is the Elimination Chamber, which is being promoted rather heavy anyway. Opening match was great though, nice to see Masters' using the German Suplex, like the RVD over sell of the move as well with the flip. Glad to see it go to a no contest, and the announcement for the six man tag for the main event.
Stevie Richards vs Tommy Dreamer's alright, two originals going at it. Kind of a shame that Stevie Richards wasn't given the win but I was happy either way. The Kevin Thorn light trick that keeps happening is awesome. I wonder if he will do something at Vengeance.
The Snitsky/Brooke pairing is scary, but funny to read. Can't see much happening out of it, unless Brooke gets pregnent and Snitsky says that it was his fault.
Team team match was alright, I actually like Cody in this diary, which is odd because I don't think much of him in real life. Slyvan is being used amazingly and once again I hope he gets a big push in the near future.
Liked the near friction between Cor Von and Elijah Burke. I can see Cor Von pouncing Burke in the chamber, eliminating him then losing the match to Rob Van Dam, starting a Cor Von/Burke feud while RVD feuds with someone like Masters or Slyvan.
Main event was fantastic, really liked the pounce while Masters had the Masterlock on Sabu, I pictued that in my head really well. The aftermath was nice, seeing Cor Von just drop the belt and everyone stopped arguing.
Looking forward to seeing who walks out of Vengeance with the ECW World Championship.

Another Extreme Elimination Chamber at a non ECW event is a bit meh, but it gets a lot of people from ECW on the show and I'm sure it'll be a good read, I'm digging the Chris Masters push, hopefully it continues. The Thorn stuff is intriguing and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes and what you do with Thorn. I liked the Cor Von/Burke stuff and tension between the 2 and hopefully something comes of it and it leads to a Cor Von face turn or something. Nice main event build towards Vengeance.
Overall some really good stuff, shows are well written out, and you've built your superstars and feuds very well. Good stuff, keep it up.

(June 24th, 2007) ECW Championship, Elimination Chamber Match: Chris Masters vs. CM Punk vs. Elijah Burke vs. Marcus Cor Von (ECW Champion) vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Sabu*Rob Van Dam and CM Punk enter the match* These two have been allies to some extent over the past couple of weeks, but it no longer remained as they started off the match. They battled back and forth, but nobody got too testy because they wanted to save their energy. Punk went for an early GTS, but RVD was easily able to escape. RVD gave Punk a vicious kick to the head, but barely even got a two count. They exchanged mat moves as the countdown began for the next wrestler to enter the match. *Chris Masters enters the match* Masters goes straight for RVD, and begins pounding away. Punk tries to get involved, but Masters meets him with a vicious clothesline. Masters went for a quick pin attempt, but didn’t even get a two count. RVD and Punk then began to help each other out and plant Masters with some double team moves. It was short lived as RVD and Punk continued to exchange blows. Shortly after, it was time for the next participant to go into the ring. *Sabu enters the match* The other ECW Original enters the match, as Sabu takes it right to Masters. RVD and Punk continue to battle it out on the side. A couple minutes go by, and RVD turns his attention to Masters. Punk and Sabu then battle it out. Masters clotheslines RVD out of the ring area itself, and onto the steel. Masters picks up RVD, and plants him with a scoop slam onto the steel as the next wrestler is about to enter. *Marcus Cor Von enters the match* The ECW Champion goes into the ring with a lot of energy, and he heads straight after Sabu. He begins to pound on Sabu, and gives him a double underhook suplex shortly after. Punk gets into it with them, as Masters and RVD continue fighting on the outside. The countdown begins, and Burke is about to come into the match. *Elijah Burke enters the match* All six men are in the ring without an elimination occurring, but that was about to change. Sabu started to climb the chains. He jumped off about midway, and gave Masters a tornado DDT! Sabu went for the cover, and Masters was out of the match. *Chris Masters has been eliminated* Cor Von and Punk are battling it out, and Cor Von gave Punk an Alpha Bomb. Cor Von went for the cover, but Punk got out. During this, Burke gave Sabu a low blow, and set him up in the opposite corner. He ran to him, and planted him with an Elijah Express. Burke went for the pin, and Cor Von knocked RVD down, and Burke was able to eliminate Sabu. *Sabu has been eliminated* It was down to four as Cor Von and Punk are battling it out, and Burke is with RVD. Cor Von and Punk are now outside of the ring area and onto the steel surface. In the ring, RVD gave a stiff kick to Burke. He climbed to the top ropes for a Five-Star Frog Splash. He wasn’t satisfied, and decided to climb the chains instead. RVD was climbing as the crowd stood on their feet in anticipation. RVD got to the top of the pod, and did his “R-V-D” taunt. During this time, Cor Von threw Punk into the chains himself. Cor Von headed back to the ring, as RVD flew off the top of the pod for a Five-Star Frog Splash. However, Cor Von pulled Burke out of the way, and RVD hit the canvas! The crowd chanted “Holy Sh**” as RVD was thriving in pain. Burke then slowly covered RVD, and got the easy three count. *RVD has been eliminated* It was down to three, and The New Breed worked on Punk. After a Stroke, Burke set up Punk for the Elijah Express. Burke was about to go, and all of a sudden, Cor Von grabbed Burke. He rolled Burke up with a school boy, and eliminated his own New Breed partner. Burke was in disbelief, as were the announcers and the crowd. Cor Von then mouthed “Every man for himself” as Burke was forced to leave. *Elijah Burke has been eliminated* It was down to Cor Von and Punk battling it out for the title. Cor Von walked outside of the ring onto the steel surface, inviting Punk on the outside. Punk ran and jumped over the ropes onto Cor Von. They exchanged blows, and Punk was able to knee Cor Von in the face. He then locked in the Anaconda Vice out of nowhere. The crowd was on their feet as it looked like Cor Von was going to tap out. However, Cor Von grabbed the chains, and got a firm grip. He used that to propel himself upwards, and he was able to break the hold as an anxious crowd got even more anxious. Near the pod, Cor Von picked up Punk for an Alpha Bomb, but Punk slid out. Punk then picked up Cor Von for a GTS, but Cor Von raked Punk’s eyes. Cor Von then smashed Punk’s head into the steel chains, which sent Punk staggering. Cor Von walked away for a moment to re-group, then ran back, and Pounced Punk straight through the glass chamber! The crowd gave out another loud “Holy Sh**” chant. After brief recovery, Cor Von went for the cover, and got the three count to retain his title. *CM Punk has been eliminated* Winner: Marcus Cor Von (Still ECW Champion)Marcus Cor Von staggered to his feet as he was presented with his title belt. Cor Von then went to the middle of the ring and celebrated with the gold around his waist.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter Notes
The decision for Cor Von to retain at Vengeance was made because creative felt like it would really help solidify his title reign. While others were considered to win, creative felt like a change was not needed at this point.
Rob Van Dam was slightly banged up at Vengeance, but should be ready to go whenever.
With brand trades expected to be made soon, one name possibly moving from ECW is Elijah Burke. It mainly depends if creative wants Cor Von to stay heel, or become a face. The feeling is that they cannot stay together forever, and they certainly cannot randomly team up in the future as heels if they are not aligned anymore. Because of this, Burke may possibly be headed to Smackdown.
Because Sylvan Grenier is using it, Tommy Dreamer no longer uses his Dreamer Driver. For now, he has been instructed to use a double-arm DDT, similar to that of Mick Foley.

Seemed like CM Punk and Rob Van Dam opening the match was a good move and these two should have a match at SummerSlam or something. Great move to have Chris Masters be eliminated first, could of happened a bit sooner though. Interesting move to have Elijah Burke be the second-to-last man eliminated, Punk being eliminated last could set up ECW's match for Great American Bash, Punk/Cor Von II maybe. Hope Cor Von drops the title by SummerSlam, however.

I was glad to see Cor Von retain. It really adds validity to his reign. A Pounce through the glass was a great way to end it, too.

Wow nice write up man. Loved everything about the match particularly from the final 4 on. A couple of sick spots with RVD's crash and burn and the Pounce through the table, I liked what you did with Burke & Cor Von, reminds me of Carlito & Masters, I hope you don't go full out with the face turn right away but rather tease it for a while before running with it & run with a Cor Von/Burke feud.
Overall good stuff, I look forward to more, keep it up.

A solid write up and a good match on the whole. Great to see Cor Von retaining the championship, since it really builds him as a solid champion, while the final parts of the match, with the Pounce through the glass was awesome.

Damn, Cor Von retained EVEN in the ing chamber! haha. Good write up for the match though man and I really dig the detail. You have a ton of writing talent and definitely can be a big player on this board. Makes me happy that Burke eliminated a few guys, maybe give him a run with the belt? Think about it man! Great stuff.
