Angus- Not bad actually. The FHS looks decent but the lower part of the face looks kind of funny. The two different skintones kind of ruin the custom. Painting is nice and smooth though. It's also a clean paintjob as well. The modded jean shorts look good and I like the bleached effect. His tattoos look good and lol at what's painted on the chair. Import- I like this custom but it is not your best work. The AJ head is the best to use on an AJ custom, even though you have to put the ra peg in it. The two different skintones kind of ruin this figure as well. I'm not fan of different skintones on one custom. The painting on the tights is smooth and I like the logos. The kneepads don't look good on him. I also would have used the old kickpad mould with elbow pads as the knee pads on him. You are the winner but I'm disappointed compared to how good it could have been. How can there be 2 skintones?the figure has a full painted skintone why do you comment everytime some one has somthing to say ?

tbh Angus, the hair is great. But the face could use more work. And the shirt is a bit sloppy. Nice try on the fhs though.
That Aj is phenomenal, (no pun intended) Import. How did you get the Toybiz kickers on the RA Legs?

Like I said previously, was really pointless to post this now, but anyways...
Angus - Good to see you're challenging yourself and attempting something different. The FHS came out alright. I dislike the fact that you painted skintone only on the head. Shorts look good, I like the modding done to the bottom. Looks like you added socks, should've added some texture to them. Also, you should definitely look into taking pictures in a more... cleaner, background. Possibly in front of a solid white background, without all the crap on the sides. Chair is pretty neat too.
Import - Overall very solid figure. Skintone looks good, however, the fact that the lips are the same colour looks very weird. Logos are nice. Wrong choice of kneepads though.
Doesn't seem as if you tried that hard with this one Import, but I guess you assumed you had this one in the bag to begin with. I actually think Angus could have beaten this AJ. Good job to both guys.

Both you guys puzzle me. ANGUS: I can respect a FHS under certain conditions. Trying new things, want to extend your limits and "up your game". I understand and respect that. But bringing this to a match against Import? I dunno, man. In recent memory, the most compliments you received was for your Norman Smiley, and what'd you do? Skintone and some nice head mods, right? And it was great. Most people really liked it. Why not go the same route here? Like I said, I can understand the temptation of adding a FHS to your repertoire. For a competition though, I'd stick to what I'd feel confident I could pull off convincingly well. This seemed more like an experiment, which is what I'd say the discussion thread and a non-competition figure would be for. It's not bad, but not what I'd want to present against Import. Other than that, as has been said, the skintone's off a little, and the shirt looks kinda rushed. From what I can see of them, the tats look good, and the shorts are great. Excellent job on the tears and the white drybrushing. I really can't tell what parts you used below the waist, but the mods were done very. very well. Nice job there. IMPORT: Final product? Looks fantastic. Telling people that a simple head mod, skintone, and two logos make a complicated custom? Come on man - I think you and everyone else know that you're better than that. That's the head scratcher for me, man. With all the arguments on the board that you're at the center of, it seems like everyone's telling you that they recognize and respect your talents, but just expect more from you based on what you're capable of. And in my opinion, you're capable of much more than this AJ. Granted, there's not much at all to criticize. Head mod was done very well for a Toybiz head to fit onto a Jakks body. Skintone is a very, very nice color and is real smooth. Logos look great in all places, and I'd like too see exactly how you got those lower legs onto those upper legs, since I sure as hell can't figure it out. Nice work.

BRK - Like everybody says, the FHS brought out the true hidden talent hat you possess inside. I do like what you've done with the figure, but the face looks off and the skin tone is what ruined it for me. If you continue to work your ass off like how you did with this figure, you'll be moving up in ranks no time.
Import - Your AJ looks really good. I like the head choice and the logo designs. The kneepad is too big, but i saw that you already changed it. I'm not going to comment on how this is one of your weak customs because you're going up against BRK because its a competition. Other than the knee pad, this figure is really solid.
Import gets my vote.

I never thought I'd say this but I think I'd take Angus's Axl over Import's Styles.
Import, no offense. I think you've done wonderful things on this board and have become quite a name in the world of customizing. However, is it possible you may have pulled something out that's not quite up to par with your usual stuff? Your painting is clean and pretty much immaculate. The skintone is pretty amazing too. I'm also pretty amazed with the logos on the tights. Now using TNA parts is what I'm on the fence about. First, the head. I've never really thought that looked like AJ Styles even though that is his head. The jacket is an okay addiition, but you didn't paint anything on it. The kickers are good because those are his style kickers, but they look a bit out of proportion to me. Also seems as if you didn't paint anything. The kneepads just look bulky and out of place. If anything, use the new RA kneepads or maybe even the new or old RA elbow pads. It's pretty much the TNA 1 Styles converted to RA.
Angus -- This is a very sizable improvement. I think you knew you needed to push the envelope, and an FHS is certainly the way to do that. I like it! They're so difficult it's pretty much instant praise if it looks even remotely like the guy you're working with. I will agree the skintone is off and to do it right, you probably should have painted the whole skintone. Shirt looks nice and clean, painting skills have definately improved. I think using dress pant legs as a base for jeans is an interesting concept and you pulled it off nicely. Love the sculpting and the fraying effect at the bottom. I would have possibly sculpted some details on the top of the crotchpiece -- a belt or maybe some belt loops, at least. Tattoos look good and accurate, and creative with the chair as well.
Overall though if I was to judge, I'd give it to BRK.

I saw the updated pic and it looks a whole lot better, definately. All I was saying is that it seems like you didn't paint anything specifically on the jacket or lower legs. I could be wrong.
