Can somebody on this board help me? I'm trying to find information on these small Popy mini-figures. They seem to have originated in Japan, and were perhaps released in the early 1980's. Are they vending figures? I really love the sculpts, and would love to trade with people who have them. The set includes wrestlers like Abdullah the Butcher (my favorite), Giant Baba, the Destroyer, and Mil Mascaras. Any information would be appreciated...Thanks!   |

i've seen these before and they are cool. i dont know too much about them though. however i dont think they are gumball figs. atleast the gumball figs i saw were different.

....they came in a paper type packet in the early 80's with inoki/abby/ so you didnt know which figures were in the pack....loads of different figures in a variety of colours. also a clear pack with inoki and tiger mask so you could see the figs you were buying... www.wrestlingfigs.com/uploads/figure/4446_figure1.jpgthey look great, very small tho, similar to the m.u.s.c.l.e figures. |

The 3 figures at the top of the thread are mine (Blue Abdullah the Butcher, Flesh Destroyer, and Orange Giant Baba)...I'll post pics soon of the rest of the figures...will have them in the mail soon...I'll also have pics of Mil Mascaras, Hulk Hogan (Green), Andre the Giant (Red & Orange), and another Abdullah the Butcher sculpt variant...Cheers, Thanks for the info, guys!
