last anime series i just finished up was RahXephon, it wasnt too bad, but it doesnt top my fav show I bought the all code version of Ebay of Rahxephon but the final disc will not work. I even sent it back and got a new one and it still has the same problem. That's what I get for buying the cheap version. I will eventually buy the legit version as so far I thought it was great. all my dvds worked out fine, yea it was a good show and all, maybe a lil confusing here and there but i figured it out.i also got the movie too, but when i watched it, i noticed it was just a summary of the series, i thought it would be something tottally different

elfen lied is totaly fricken awsome. I just recently finished watching elfen lied and it was an extremely good show. I had seen it advertised in Wizard and I had a gift card and seeing as though the complete set was only like $40 I thought it was a good deal. It was very bizarre though, in a good way. Tons of nudity, violence, you name it and it was pretty much in there. The realtionship between the cousins kind of creeped me out, maybe I am missing some sort "japanese culture" thing? like is cousin dating ok over there? The animation is really well done too. My favorite character was Bando. The best part of the series was when he punches that one secretary for walking up behind him and then later him trying to save his nuts. I am currently watching the Voltron. I finished volume 1 and am ordering volume 2 at the end of the week. Probabally the first cartoon/anime that I can remember watching. Nowadays it seems kinda cliche, but the nostaglia factor is good. I am also planning on buying volume 1 of BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo, which I thought was hilarious when it was on cartoon network, I just always missed it for some reason. But it is a hilarious show. Probabally the funniest cartoon I have seen. And it's only $12 on deepdiscountdvd.com (with free shipping: great website). Has anyone bought the Transformers: Platinum edition. It looks lik eit is from China? It is like $65 on ebay but ships from the US, comes in a nice tin and looks really nice, 15 discs in all. I was just wondering if this set is worth it, becuase it sounds a lot better than buying all the individual season at $50 a pop. Anyone else pumped up for Le Chevalier D'Eon? I read about it on Wizard and the actual story it is based on is pretty interesting. The real story is about the title character who was a spy for the king then later in his life claims to be female and lives out the rest of his life in a dress. While that sounds like a queer concept, the anime looks pretty amazing. D'Eon becomes possessed with the soul his recently murdered sister, thus explaining the whole is he a dude or not angle and starts fighting zombies and stuff. IGN has hosted the first episode as a preview because the dvd comes out next month on the 20th I believe. Anyways, here is the link media.tv.ign.com/media/878/878485/vids_1.html Is bleach worth watching? I see it's pretty popualr, but I haven't seen it. I was not too big on Naruto though, which seems to be the other popular one right noe besides FMA (which is the greatest anime/show ever). I also finsihed watchign Howl's moving castle, Castle in the Sky, and Spirited away. I liked Howl's the best, then Spirited away was great, but Castle in the sky was kind of dull compared to the other two, thought still a good movie.

Has anyone here had any problems with region 0 dvds? I am thinking about buying Rurouni Kenshin on dvd off ebay for like $40 for all 95 episodes, but was just wondering if the region 0 version is fine. I bought a region free Rahxephon and it worked fin except for the last disc, where the last 5 episodes would not work for whatever reason. The guy sent me a new copy but it was the same exact problem. Anyways, I figure with anime there would be a lot of region 0 dvds floating around and was wondering what you guys think of them.
Thanks

I'm currently watching Naruto reruns on CN. Dammit, why is Sasuke the only one who says 'Naruto' right!? Oh, and the balls are inert .

I can't believe you find a need to complain about that. God forbid that the English voice actors don't have Japanese accents.

I forget, what version are we talking about here, the English or Japanese? For Christ's sake, they're actors not immitators.

Went to waterstones today and noticed that Ikki tousen AKA Battle Vixens volume 2 has a different cover to the one i have, instead of Hakufu they have changed it to show Shimei. Anyone know the reasoning behind this, is it just a cover reprint or are there changes to the content as well?
