Chase's topic about his 10 ten current series gave me the idea to just create an official topic. Anime counts here on the Comic board, since most everything out there has a Manga counterpart, there for I deem it acceptable on this technicality. If you have any problems with it, take it up with the mod who started it. Oh wait, that's me

omg anime is teh sux.
I used to watch lots of it, but somehow I fell out of it, and only have my memories of the 90's anime, like Ninja Scroll and Angel Cop.

Okay, so my Tivo is still recording Anime Unleashed from G4 (leftover from when they were playing Gungrave last year). It recorded the first 2 episodes of Rah Xephon. I'm not sure what I feel about it. I was getting a really strong Big O vibe off of it (giant robots, weird conspiracies) while the storytelling and animation style screamed "We really want to be Neon Genesis Evangelion!"
I might watch it some more, but it really gives me the impression that I've seen all of it before. Anyone else ever seen Rah Xephon and can elaborate as to what the hell I just watched?

Who wants to list what Manga books they have? Well, I will because what else do I have going for me at 5:07 am?
Now, my list isn't huge, I just got into it last year and my girlfriend was happy to get me lots with her Borders discount. I am talking about the trades, the actual books of collected comics. I guess if you have a subscription to Shonen Jump or something that would count too.
So here goes:
Trigun #1 Trigun #2 Trigun Maximum #1 Trigun Maximum #2 Trigun Maximum #3 Trigun Maximum #4 Trigun Maximum #5 Trigun Maximum #6 Trigun Maximum #7 Full Metal Alchemist #1 Full Metal Alchemist #2 Full Metal Alchemist #3 Full Metal Alchemist #4 Scryed #1 Scryed #2 Scryed #3 Scryed #4 Scryed #5 Neon Genesis Evangelion #1 (2 versions) Neon Genesis Evangelion #2 Neon Genesis Evangelion #3 Neon Genesis Evangelion #4 Neon Genesis Evangelion #5 Neon Genesis Evangelion #6 Neon Genesis Evangelion #7 Neon Genesis Evangelion #8 Neon Genesis Evangelion #9 Ragnarok #1 (got it for $2 at Borders Outlet) Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind #1 Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind #2 Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind #3 Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind #4
I need to read more before I add to my collection, but I am considering collecting Dragonball and maybe Cowboy Bebop if the stories are not the basic episodes.

My manga collection is small and sad FLCL 1 and 2 Cowboy Bebop 1-3 Cowboy Bebop: Shooting Star 1 and 2 Trigun 1 and 2 Trigun Maximum 1 Ruroni Kenshin 1-6 Abenobashi 1 Ghost In The Shell Several translated Evangelion: Girlfriend of of Steel books on my PC and assorted Shonen Jump magazines. Cowboy Bebop's manga isn't based on episodes, and Cowboy Bebop: Shooting Star isn't even based on the series, but the series is pretty much incomplete as it had the plug pulled on it early. It's still good though. I'm going to start buying Evangelion soon. The series is my crack.

i just finished watching gungrave last night, not bad of a show, anyone else watch it? I watched it last year. Honestly, it felt like the whole undead army stuff (while cool) was out of place. At its heart, Gungrave was a story about friendship and organized crime, not unlike a Coppala film. It moved incredibly slow at points. If you wait for the undead action that the series boasts, you will be very frustrated. Hell, Beyond the Grave doesn't even show up until episode 15 or something like that. But if you ignore the undead factor, the story isn't bad. It was very strange for the series to go from organized crime to crazy undead monster battles. It seemed to do it with little warning. Suddenly everyone was a monster. The ending was very surprising to me for that reason.

The show wasnt the bestest of all, but it was good, alot things surprised me, like the deaths of people who i thought would never die, and some episode got me confused when they were showing like parts of the 1st episode and it just got me confused some how, at the end i didnt expect to see what happen, but overall its a good show

Shut your face Murata The reason you can't find anything on Season 2 is because Season 2 doesn't exist The Manga is your only way to continue the story.

does anyone read the battle royale manga? i like it, you learn more about the characters than in the film Anytime I pick up a manga wrapped in plastic, I know it's going to be good or sexy. There was A LOT of porn at Sakuracon this weeken. A LOT. I swear to god, if that guy yelled "GET YOUR YAOI!" One more time, I was going to punch him in his face....
