I love these guys! I've had a Microman Batman for a few years and I wasn't all that impressed. The recent Toyfare article brought back my memories of having many a M.U.S.C.L.E. figure back in the mid eighties, so I began to look around at all the Kinnikuman (MUSCLE) stuff out there. There's a TON of it. Literally. I saw that TOMY updated their Microman bodies with these Kinnikuman figures so I thought I'd give them a shot. I think they are great! They are a shade taller that BNB. They have more articultion and a better range of motion, making posing much easier. The single packs come with extra heads in different expressions, and all come with 8 pair of interchangable hands. They also come with a Marvel Legends style base to show flight, jumping, etc. These are my first 5. I have 6 more on the way from various sellers. TOMY made an exclusive mail-in figure that I really want to get. Also, another company, Romando, is releasing a line of figures in the same scale this year. WC

I must've had a hundred of those things in the '80s. I loved the little transparent garbage cans they came in, too. I had the M.U.S.C.L.E. ring too, but I think my friend & I broke one of the clips in a particularly hard-fought match.
Memories...

Where did you find these? I love that Terryman figure. I bought these from Big Bad Toystore and I used eBay to buy the other 6-7. (I haven't gotten them in yet!) I did pick up a few other Kinnikuman figures: I got the Buffaloman (top center) statue/figure this week to use to make a Buffaloman Microman custom. They are roughly the same size, with this statue/figure being slightly taller... I found this Buffaloman custom on a Japanese website. I love Google Language Tools! It'll be my blueprint for making my own... I also bought 2 of these figures. They come in 'blind boxes' meaning you have no idea who you are buying. I got Benkiman (the toilet-looking guy in the center of the bottom picture) There are 2 versions to represent the Manga (comic book) and the Anime (cartoon). Look at the Manga version of Benkiman...where my version has a faucet knob on the top of his head...the Manga version has...you guessed it...a pile of s**t I also got the anime version of Hawkman, top right. They are about 2 inches tall, way too short to use to make customs with, but very cool nonetheless! I'd love to talk more Kinnikuman with anyone here! Warsman

These are awesome, I love that Toilet Bloke, I've been rumaging through my old M.U.S.C.L.E. today and I used to watch the new cartoon when it was on. I'd love to get some of those Microman figures, I have some Street Fighter ones. What happenned to the new Kinikuman versions of the old pink figures? I saw some protos of them years ago that were various colours and could put holds on each other but I could never find any for sale. I was hoping they would get sold everywhere and become a new craze like thwe originals but it never happenned They had the potential to be the greatest thing ever but I could never work out where to buy them.

I bought some more of the Kinnikuman Microman sized figures! Love 'em! They fir nicely in a Hasbro ring, which I plan on fixing up to better fit in with Kinnikuman figures. My favorite today is red trunks Kinnikuman, though it changes almost daily, LOL. I saw 2 new 2-packs are offered soon, but it looks like they are both repaints of these characters. Darn. I want some fresh meat! ;D Wars

A bit off topic, but what are they displayed on, in the background of the first pic??
That looks like an awesome little scene background, i could use that for many things.
