Yeah. Nobody said that we were ever going to do PPVs or SNMEs with popular voting.. we did the one because I screwed up the judges, hence why I made such a big deal about getting together a reliable, willing panel of judges.
Is this over? Gate says yes, if scotthall wants to end it as well, let's just call it and forget the whole thing happened, other than to remember that these guys made two great customs.

No no, leave it up. My earlier statements were ones based on anger and annoyance for the various people on this board.
It doesn't matter who wins or loses, but it's only been a day and some people may not have seen it and I would like to get as many comments as I can so I will know what to improve on in future events.
Thanks to Becca for posting this and a thanks goes out to Mr Hall for putting out an incredible figure.

Here's your list of judges CMD Skribbel24 Nelly Mike EZ HBK Becca Tiebreaker is popular vote Now after all this do you think a popular vote for a tiebreaker is a smart idea?

Gate- can you thank me for being such an inspiration to all people with an IQ of less than 65? I would appreciate it greatly. My mom would like it also.

Well I've been busy lately so I hatven't had the chance to vote but now I'm going to.
Gate- The Kirshner looks amazing. Your sculpting skills have really improved and I really like the camouflage on the pants except for the pink. The shirt looks nice as well and I really like the sculpted beret.
scottxxnwoxxhall- The modded head looks awesome and it looks just like Haku. The tights painting looks nice and smooth but for some reason I don't like the Umaga torso for Haku. Probably because he was a little more ripped than Umaga. I do like the skintone though as well as the chest hair.
My vote goes to Gate because IMO the sculpting is better.

This is just stupid now. This is the exact reason I stopped posting customs here. If people would have replied with just a name for who they voted for a bunch of people would be bitching that they are not giving reason why they voted the way they did, and now that people are posting why they voted the way they did people are bitching about that.... I think the customs form has went from positive critiscism to bitchfest and is just ridiculious. If people don't want the "public" to vote then don't post it to be voted on, Take the "special few" and let only their opinions matter, I learned many many years ago on here that if your not part of the "inner circle" then your opinion(s) just can't be credible, which is complete BS....... And the irony is that I have know contributed to the bitchfest that I have grown to hate. Shame on me...............

I dont see how people can call this a bitchfest when all people are doing is expressing thier opinion. And when someone says they flipped a coin to see who got thier vote i will call it lame.

People keep saying this but IT WAS ONLY 1 VOTE that was claimed to be decided by a coin toss. I do not know who the person is that said that but I would imagine the person meant that both customs were equal and it didn't matter to them which one won since they were both great, or who knows maybe he did literally flip a coin, but again it was only 1 VOTE.......

Really nice job here folks, it's a close one. I like both for there parts choices and how close they look to the old figures of themselves. I think overall the parts and the way you got the sculpted shirt to look just like the texture on the original figure of Corporal is fantastic and really feel like something jakks would do as an updated figure style of it. My vote goes to GateCitySinner on this one but it was a close one, good work to Scottxxnwoxxhall too!

OK
i remember a long time ago on this fourm, people would get mad because other people would post fix-ups in the customs forum, so there was 2 different fourms made, one for customs and one for fix-ups, and heres what makes customs different from fix-ups
Customs are about 99.9% painted, fix-ups are about 50% painted, customs are about 40-50% (or more) sculpted(hair, kick pads, beard, knee pads, elbow pads ect ect) customs can be posed, fix-ups cannot, customs must have 100% detail, fix-ups do not, and last but not least...customs take alot more time effort and talent to do then fix-ups
i am not saying anything bad about fix-ups, i did alot my self, but in my mind, a custom will always beat a fix up to me, and here is why
fix-ups most of the time will look alot better then customs, why? because you are just getting a figure and changing the bad stuff about it into good, like different hair style, different attire, beard, shirts...well you get the point, so really there is not much of a chance for you to mess up, you got a great company like jakks doing all the hard work for you, but you just pick up on there lazyness and fix the little imperfections that they do, on the other hand, customs take really re-doing almost everything on the figure, some of you might not know, but its very easy to mess up a custom, bad choice in skin tone, messing up on the eyes, all that stuff takes talent, i have done both my fair share of customs and fix-ups, and both take talent and time to do, but customs take alot more talent and time, i dont know what this contest is about, but i dont know any of the people that are in it, never talked to them or anything, this is just the truth, so in my mind, i dont really care what the contest was about, but the better figure wins and thats haku by scott, end of story...

Anything that involves sculpting, be it hair and beard or shirt or modding on pants, automatically makes it not a "fix-up". What you call a fixup, has been more recently re-named a "playable custom". A fix-up would be a simple hair repaint, or adding wrist tape something of that nature. If you check out section E. under number one in the board rules, there is more info on fix-ups. thanks
