MELTZER, POFFO, HEENAN ANNOUNCE NEW PROJECT:
Today, a new era was launched in the world of professional wrestling, as Anarchy Pro Wrestling was announced. There was little announced on the project, other than a start date of early August, and a promise that many names would be involved in the website. They will be showcasing the young, hungry talent on the indy scene, they will not shy away from showcasing talent used in other promotions but they certainly plan to develop their own stars. Heenan will be the first APW President, and oversee things day-to-day, while Lanny Poffo will be the head trainer in the APW Dojo, and Dave Meltzer will be the play-by-play announcer. As it is right now, they do not have a TV deal in place, but hope to have one within months.
For now, the plan is to run shows on the west coast, every Friday until national TV can be achieved. They didn't answer too many questions but said to keep watching anarchypro.com, where the details of who will be working with the promotion will come quickly as soon as the contracts and deals are in place.
