I just got through reading the first three issues of 'Identity Crisis' and, oh my what have I been missing? I got a little teary-eyed at the first issue just because the storytelling is so tremendous, dramatic... genuinely compelling. Brilliant work.

||Give me an "S", give me a "P", give me an "O", give me a break! There is no way I'm going to give you "spoiler space" in individual letters; lazy buggers.||Soup of the Day: The pleasantry is out of context unless you read back a page or two. So go out there and buy the Issue 07 of 'Astonishing' if you want to be with the in-crowd. Ah, Logan. ;D You had me at "I really like beer"....

All check out:
MARVEL TEAM UP
Seriously... one of the best books on the market! Its funny, good art and the team ups actually make sense (so far at least). So far he's had Wolverine/Spider-Man and Doc Strange and Fantastic Four and he's got them all in character.
Pick up Iron/Hulk which was released today and just read the first few pages... I bet you'll want to buy it!
Its awesome! Up there with Astonishing (under it... but still up there).

I just picked up the Phoenix: Endsong book, and I have yet to read it.. In other news, I am still wetting my pants just like you guys over how awesome Astonishing is! I never was a Buffy fan, but Whedon's style is VERY interesting. I just picked this book up as kind of an extra, since my main books were gonna be Wolverine and Ultimate FF... Astonishing blows them both away.
Did anyone besides me read 'Powerless'? I thought it was really cool.

I read Powerless, and liked it a lot. It was a very interesting idea, but I don't think a mini-series was the best format. A graphic novel one/two-shot would have worked a lot better, IMO. I'd recommend the eventual TPB to anyone.
I also read MTU and LOVE it. It's quickly become one of my favorites. Robert Kirkman's become one of my favorite writers, too. I've already started Fantastic Four: Foes and Invincible (starting with #18 and trades). I'll probably move on to Waking Dead pretty soon.

I am not really digging 'Marvel Team-Up.' Not a real fan of the dialogue. I'll just have to stick with Astonishing X-Men, Identity Crisis Cable and Deadpool, Emma Frost, Rogue, Ultimate Spider-man, and Marvel Knights Spider-man. Any other recommendations?

Although they're already to issue #5 of the 5-issue mini, so maybe wait until the TPB. I'd recommend Invicible if you're a fan of super-heroes, but if you don't like Kirkman's MTU (he also writes Invincible), it might not be your cup of tea. Fallen Angel is a really fun title from DC. Written by Peter David, it has no ties to anything in the DCU. It's more adult-themed, too. Check out the TPB of the first 6 issues for $13. She-Hulk is another title I'd recommend a lot. It's kind of a humorous take on a super-hero story, except good like Formerly Known as the Justice League, not bad like Alpha Flight.

She Hulk is awesome but unless your willing to hunt for back issues wait for the relaunch. I'm spoken to the writer online and he says Marvel haven't made him really change the strong point of ther book for the relaunch so it should be just as good if not better.,

Firstly, 'Hot tea to wake us all up': 'Identity Crisis' Issue 01 I'll admit, I shed a tear.

Now onto more pressing matters.
||OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!... low-cost spoilerspace; which also sums up my feelings to a 'T.' If you wish not to be spoiled by the findings in Issue 06 of 'Identity Crisis', please cease and desist the advancement of your eyes.||
Oh my. That was as decisive as a knock out shot to the chin! I am not entirely familiar with DC Comics, but after this brilliant collective, I will most certainly look towards other series. Now to get back on course, with a text buffer for those whose eyes wandered below the warning, I should have figured that the killer was Ray (Atom); as who else could penetrate such a security defense?; though I tend to get wrapped up within the reading and ignore intuition. 'Identity Crisis' is just marvelous; if only someone would write and direct a television series of the same caliber. I'm sold on the idea, but if only there were a buyer.

I just picked up the first 2 issues of The New Avengers. It's getting sort of a bad rap, but so far, I've really enjoyed how they're kicking it off.

Final issue of Ghostbusters Legion comes out tomorrow, I can't wait for that.
I have pretty much stopped reading all comics, just because of the lack of good storytelling. Ultimate Spider-Man's endless crossovers with little sense, Batman's countless 60 part arc, and 12 titles a week featuring Spider-Man or Wolverine on the cover are just ruining it. The only comics I really enjoy now are She-Hulk due to my friend's high reccomendation, and the "supposed to be monthly but for some reason it's quarterly" Ghostbusters comics.
Are there any titles currently running that have decent, original storylines, with at least passable, non-painted art? I enjoy Fantastic Four as well, but the store here is always sold out, I guess that's a sign.

Unfortunately no sign of Nightcrawler for the second month in a row in the solicits. I guess it's officially cancelled. Figures they'd can the one X-solo book with an interesting aproach.
