people actually liked this movie? I didn't see anything wrong with it at all. I haven't seen a good horror movie in a LONG time and this one was pretty good. The original is still the best, but if you watch this movie and compare it to the original you are an ass, watch it for what it is "Rob Zombies Halloween". And I haven't seen the unrated as I figured it was just added nudity, gore, and language which would have killed the film if so. But I thought the theater version was well done.

Yeah. I like the film. I think a big portion of people are just anti remake. To each their own. I watched it as a stand alone film with zero expectations and I had fun with it.

I believe that statement is 100% correct. Once people hear the word Re-Make they go ape crapand this "Nope! This isn't happening! BOYCOTT! BOYCOTT! BOYCOTT!". I don't know, but I thought it was a great companion piece to the originol which is of course better then the remake in many, many ways...but at least Rob Zombie didn't have the idea of making it the exact same movie.

I'm a Halloween nut, so it wasn't hard for me to get excited over the remake. Did I go into watching it expecting it to match up to the original? No. it ruins the fun, because you sit there comparing the whole film. I think Rob Zombie did an awesome job. I'll always have a man crush for the original, but this doesn't kill the series.
The alternate ending was good. Leaves you guessing as to what the intentions were of Myers (all I'll say). The one Rob Zombie put into the film was good, too...but I'm more of a fan towards the alternate ending.

The alternate ending made Michael come off as a ****. He should have no remorse for anyone, and not be a little bitch

I have the Unrated DVD and I just watched it yesterday. The ending is the EXACT same as the theatrical cut.

I haven't seen the theatrical version, but I saw the original cut a few months ago. I thought that was great, especially the ending. Is that the same ending as the alternate ending on this?

I thought it sucked. It didn't have the same like.... "Oh crapa murderer is chasing me" feeling. It was just like.....he is following you and you don't know you just get killed.....oh there is boobs too.

This movie was fantastic, I liked it a lot. Of course, I liked other Rob Zombie movies as well such as Devil's Rejects so I figured I would like this. I really liked how they showed him in his childhood years because it always felt like a missing piece in the puzzle, at least in my opinion.
The one thing though that bothers me about rob zombies films are the insane amounts of cussing. I don't mind cussing in movies but when almost every other word is a cuss word it can be a tad annoying.
The alt. ending was ok but I liked the other better, it just seemed better to me.
