10 million isn't bad, the movie was only released in 1249 theatres and barely promoted. Charlie Wilsons war 2575+, Alvin and the Chipmunks 3499, I am Legend 3620, National Treasure 3832.

I'm surprised Walk Hard wasn't in the top 5. The movie was absolutely hilarious.

So the curse is broken? Hasnt the guy who made Superbad, Knocked Up, 40 Year Old Virgin and Walk Hard always getting alot of money for his movies. Like in the 30 million range on opening weekend?
Anyways I am surprised Walk Hard tanked so badly. I thought it looked intellectually- disabled but I still thought it would make alot of money. I thought Todd would get in the 4-6 range so thats cool. I Am Legend will probably stay in the top 5 for another 3 weeks or so.

As I have stated a few times on here, I really dug Walk Hard. Its stupid comedy, but it has heart and it is funny as hell.
I think this was the wrong time to release the movie personally, it would have worked better as an early summer release, but it will find an audience later on if it completely bombs theatrically.

Just got back from I am Legend. I really enjoyed it, just wish it was rated R and only so the dumb ass kids in front of the theater wouldn't have been allowed in to talk the whole freaking time. Other than that I thought it was really good.

I saw National Treasure and Sweeny Todd this weekend. I enjoyed Sweeny Todd, but I found NT to be decent and I guess I can thank that for my hatered for Nick Cage.

Judd Apatow's prodcution company has been pretty damn successful since 40 YOV. Im suprised it did so bad, but then again, it wasn't exactley anything like the movies Apatow's known for.

National Treasure was pretty good but I liked the first one better. Plus, the bad guy was better in the first as well.
