The movie Blonde Ambition released into eight theatres in Texas, the home state for stars Jessica Simpson and Luke Wilson, on December 22, 2007 before a DVD release date on January 22, 2008. Blonde Ambition averaged $48 per screen on December 22, 2007 for a total box office of $384. This meant, based on an $8 ticket price, that only 6 people paid to see the movie at each of those eight theatres and only 48 people went to see the movie.

My dad just heard about this on the radio station, so I looked it up and found it on Wikipedia. I found it pretty interesting. haha.

I just read this on the Perez website. If its true, that has to be one of the biggest bombs in history.
I heard that it was going straight to DVD, so I wonder if they threw it in the theatres with absolutely no advertising?

It was just 8 screens in her home state (I think, don't quote me on that one) of Texas, I guess the studio thought the home town girl could pull in some people, looks like they were wrong.

actually made 1,300 with a 162 average, which sucks but it's not like anyone knew this film was playing.

I'm no Jessica Simpson fan, but this is undeserved bad press. The movie was only in eight theaters and it probably had little, if any advertising. This would only be thread worthy if a Jessica Simpson movie was released nationwide and had a hundred thousand dollar ad campaign behind it and then only made $384.

Employee of the Month deserved this.

well considering most of Texas hates her right now.... Cowboy fans who think the reason Cowboys lost the game because she was there are intellectually- disabled. They lost because Romo had a messed up thumb and couldn't throw for **** or maybe Romo just sucks.
