I have never watched DBZ, so them making a movie does not affect me at all. If I was a fan of the series I would probably be a little concerned.
But this will have Chow Yun-Fat, at least thats something to be happy about.

It's going to suck, and I'm going to make sure by seeing it!

Yeah, an American vision of Dragonball, what the worst that could come out of that?

I don't think it's going to be good at all. I also love how it's being referred to as Dragonball Z yet it's bases off of Dragonball story arcs.

This will suck so bad that odds are I'll pretend it doesn't exist. I do that with a lot of movies that I have a hatred for that is either adapted from something I like (Batman 1-4) or is a crappy sequel (T3).

You know, if they had done this about 4 years ago, it'd be exciting.

I don't see this film taking itself too serious

Film's first fatal flaw: Making it take place on our Earth/reality and in the future.
That's the kiss of death.

It'll be interesting at least.
With Stephen Chow's involvement and Chow Yun fat being cast, I'm at least curious to see this now.

I'm a huge DBZ fan, but I can't see this movie doing too good.

not sure. I'll have to see a trailer at least before I say anything.

For some reason, I see this movie languishing in developmental hell until the plug is pulled quietly.

I remember almost ten years ago how everyone on the net were so stoked for this movie and rumors & fake images were popping up everywhere. Man...have things changed. This movie is going to probably be very bad though.

I don't think it's going to be good at all. I also love how it's being referred to as Dragonball Z yet it's bases off of Dragonball story arcs. Dragonball Z is entirely different from Dragonball in terms of everything about the characters less their names. The Departed isn't called Infernal Affairs even though it is entirely based on those three movies.
