No offense to Speed Racer fans...but surely there was a better way to do this film.

Looks more like a trip out film...Even then, I wouldn't watch it.

I can't believe they're actually making a movie on the series. As much as I'm a fan of the original anime, I can already tell that this movie's going to be horrible.

Maybe it's like Yellow Submarine and requires "assistance" to appreciate it fully.

i always did hate the cartoon as a kid. it was horrible, repettitive, and un-entertaining.
heres every episode as how i remember:
1. Speed defies the dad and races
2. a kid with a goofy hat and a monkey are always in the trunk
3. Speed is losing until he hits a button on the steering wheel with springs and he gets in first place from it, and wins.
all that, was in the trailer. so theres the movie, start to finish pretty much. and i especially hate how their trying to mix this 90's family with the 2000's with that corporation dude. and the Underground racing theme? whats with that? The only good thing that this movie has for them is Emilie Hirsch and John Goodman.
