I'm Not There was a movie that was supposed to be released 11/21/2007 with a cast that was decent. Ben Whishaw (Actor) Bruce Greenwood (Actor) Cate Blanchett (Actor) Christian Bale (Actor) Heath Ledger (Actor) Julianne Moore (Actor) Michelle Williams (Actor) Richard Gere (Actor) Todd Haynes (Director)
This was the story of one of the best musicians of our century, Bob Dylan. Todd Haynes will write and direct the biopic of singer Bob Dylan. The film will feature a series of characters to tell Dylan's life story. Leonardo DiCaprio's company Appian Way will produce the picture with Killer Films and Weistein Company.
I am just wondering if anyone had seen this movie in any theatre marquee or even at a video rental location?

There is a semi-indy movie theatre in my town, maybe I'll go see if it plays there. I just didn't even see anything for it or where it was playing online.

I've seen alot of clips...
Kate Blanchett as a version of Dylan is very, different.

I saw it last week, and a number of us on here (ie: myself and Mal) have been following it for months.
I reviewed it in the 'last movie you watched' thread.

Am I the only one that doesn't think Bob Dylan was anything super spectacular? I mean, people act as if he's the second coming, and I don't see it at all. His music isn't that interesting.

It's what his music did for musi cin general and for what he did for other artists. If you only see it compared to some of the stuff that this generation considers music then it won't seem all that great as a lot of the stuff that passes for music nowadays doesn't do what his music did for his time and for what he did for music as a whole.

Not a Dylan fan and sure as hell not a Blanchett fan. Sadly Bale and Ledger cant save this one for me.

I honestly believe Bob Dylan has to be the greatest song writer of all time.

His storytelling skills are completely unmatched. The diversity of his music and styles is what really made me latch onto Dylan as a true influence.
Anyways, if you like Cate Blanchett or not, her performance AS DYLAN, looks great, along with everyone's elses.
