Yeah I was about to say, whats the point of these pictures? They look like decent backgrounds that have no stars in em.

Yeah I was about to say, whats the point of these pictures? They look like decent backgrounds that have no stars in em. 1: Almost identical reproduction of the books comic panels, has three supporting characters (nespamtand owner, kid reading comic, and the guy walking away with the rolled up magazine). 2: Contains far too many little easter eggs to list. (Like Viedt Sports, a major characters product) 3: Has the 'main' character, Rorschach, and the infamous "Who Watches the Watchmen" graffiti. 4: Exact reproduction of one of the graphic novel's locations. 5: Exact reproduction of one of the graphic novel's locations. jsh: Give a close look at Rorschach in picture 3? Seems like they're using CGI for his ink blots, which I'd say is a big plus

Apparently they gave him a leather jacket. I always pictured this kind of jacket:

The shiney jacket doesn't bother me... it makes it feel more comic bookish.
And I knew they were going to do that with the mask, seeing as it changes all the time.
But anyway... I love these pictures. The sets look amazing, and it's crazy how close they're keeping it to the book... I know the plot won't be exact, but a few changes or omissions won't really hurt... I just know that the ending and the character development will be the same, and that's what's important.

The moment they announced Zack Snyder was directing, all my fears were conquered.
I mean, look at 300, it's perfect, the exact replica of the comic '300'. He said he's just as big a fan of Watchmen as he was that, and he's not the type of guy to compromise.
I saw these earlier, everything looks perfect, even the period clothes. That's the other thing I love about Snyder, he has the balls to change the script back to 1985 instead of modern day. That would've been a sure fire way to kick this movie in the balls.
I can't wait, even though it's still a year and 4 months out.

I'm more excited for Watchmen than Batman. I hope Alan Moore won't be a dick and actually see this and like it. I can understand why he didn't like V For Vendetta. This I'm hoping will be exactly like the graphic novel and Moore will enjoy it. I'm gonna hate the marketing for this though, Hot Topic will have Watchmen stuff and I'll hate more people than usual.

It's too bad you think other people enjoying the same stuff as you ruins your "cool quotient". Because let me tell you, it's not that high to begin with.

You know, i hadn't really thoguht about the marketing... I can't wait till stores get Watchmen tshirts... because then I'll finally be able to have one....
i hope it either has the smiley face or a dave gibbons painting on the front and "Who watches the Watchmen" on the back...
Man, I can't wait for this movie...
Between this, Dark Knight, Indiana Jones, Prince Caspian, and a couple of others... I'm about to explode with the biggest joygasm ever!
